Hello everyone, i have a problem in FSX SE, when I am in cockpit view, i am at more than 30 fps(PMDG aircraft) on all my aircaft, but when i go to outside view it drops to 5 fps even when i get back to the cockpit view, does someone know why? Thank You

Hello All I had done FSX on and off for many years, but spent 95% my time trying to improve performance, never done much flying ,only now enjoying the flying, I live in the UK but due to radio aids I fly out of Columbia USA. First time ever tried a full short route KCAE to KCSH on thr coast First flight Gate 2 , happed to have Tug in front of the Plane, used the shift P key for push back. Second time no Tug there, How do I call up a Tug. Used shift P all working but no Tug. Used the R/T promps , Switched on Progressive Taxyway, and R/T all the way to Rwy Hold 05 The route took me across the other runway without a clearance, .? Anyway got all…

My textures on the taxiways and at the ramps are just white paint and not a texture. The runways are fine and a little farther from the airport there are white squares. Then it turns normal when it gets to the default scenery. I have no idea what is wrong.

Hello! I am at a crossroads in my flight simulator career. I have been using FSX Gold Edition. I would jump to P3Dv4 or X Plane 11, but I need a new desk top to pursue those choices. My Specs: OS: Originally Windows 7 (Switched to Windows 10) 64-bit Processor: Intel Core i7 processor 860 (1st reason I need a new computer) Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB (2nd reason I need a new computer). 1TB hard drive 8GB DDR3 Memory I can run FSX and have successful flight and have an immersive experience BUT as you can imagine, I get lousy framerates and the occasional freezeup. Hello and Merry Christmas. I got the flythemaddogx MD-82 for Christmas and I have just one question. Is it supposed to go that slow? I saw an MD-80 on flightaware from Des Moines to Dallas flying at 467 miles per hour at 31,000 feet. I am at 30,000 feet headed from Columbia, SC to Dallas and my plane is only going 347 miles per hour. Is there any way to make it go a realistic MD80 speed? Maybe something with the pitot heat?

Hello, Lately as i've started flying VATSIM, i've been having 15-23 Fps in FSX when in the air, and 11-17 on the ground, but i've also been noticing my Fps drop down to 8 at some points. I looked into tweaking and changing my FSX:SE settings in-game, but it seems it just made it a bit worse. I'm not looking for 40 Fps, just a stable 25 if that's possible. so, basically i'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion to what i could do to improve my general or locked FPS, whether its CFG tweaking, windows management or changing my settings. I am still having horrible problems with FSX-SE and Orbx scenery...I have a pure Orbx scenery library...No other add ons...I am running Orbx Global Base, but that is absolutely all...I have un-enabled it in the Scenery Library but it changes nothing.....I would welcome any ideas or suggestions!

I use both FS2004 and FSX. For FS2004 I have REX installed but have never purchased the FSX version. In FS2004, using the REX textures, I have water textures the way I like them and...for those waterways I am personally familiar with...as close to realistic as possible. In FSX I am struggling, especially with inland waters like lakes and rivers, to see anything realistic. The waters all look very, very dark...bordering on black. And no, it's not missing textures. If you get close to the surface you can see some dark, dark blue color, so not completely black. Hi! I'm looking for the charts of the FSX and FS9 default approachs. I'm not interested in the last AIRAC because my budget is very tight and I'm not able to purchase an ATC addon+Navigraph (or similar) subscription. BTW, I'm not interested in online flying. Right now I would prefer to stay with the default ATC and its oldies approach procedures. windows resize to little boxes in each screen. i have to enlarge them and re align them every time i load FSX. l have looked at the panel config,and the airport config. in the airport loading cfg i see how i can locate the window on the screen but not lock the size to the window.

I'm mostly aware of memory restrictions of FSX and that it cannot utilize more than 2GB of RAM (usage 70% overall). However, it's only using 1900MB of memory according to task manager and never going above that. CPU is an old and cheap AMD, cores are continually operating around 100%. Could it be that CPU is a bottleneck which results in limited RAM use?

Hello everyone, I have been searching for a good addon that adds cabin sounds to the aircrafts. I found some like fspassengers and fs2crew. Well fspassengers is too complicated and fs2crew is only for payware aircrafts. Well i have all the freeware aircrafts. Is there any addon that adds good cabin sounds like announcements, safety speech, etc?

I had FSX SE did a clean install then installed PREPARED V4. I have all of the PMDG Aircraft but none will work unless I purchase all new packages. The Queen of the Skies cost $89. now it looks like I would have to pay $135. for the PREPARED V4. Looks like FSX SE again on the same drive to save a bundle of money down the road. Food for thought for anyone with the same situation.

I set up autopilot in default C172. It holds heading and altitude when FSX window is inactive and then back active (Pause on task switch is disabled). However when I am in the FSX window and access any option, ie World>Map (and Cancel) or Options>Settings>General (and Cancel) and return to the flight, aircraft is heading elsewhere and pitching up what autopilot then violently tries to correct and get back on course sometimes resulting in steep dive and crash. What causes this?

At the moment I have Flight Sim Commander, and Plan G on my second computer both using the FSUIPC INTERFACE as at moment I can not get Sim Connect to work it’s a pig, Plan G is so simple to connect just a port and IP and your done. Hi, I made a small addition, if you choose to plot your aircraft on FSXmap.com, you can then download your flight track with 2 second resolution as a text file like this: Since its comma separated, you can then easilly paste it into Excel or other program to analyze/plot it. 3 years ago, I got a developer to do me a program that allowed me to view airports from the end of a runway and at a high altitude and he was able to do the airports that i requested. It was a matter of taking his program file and placing camera CFG in C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX (Removing the original one first and it worked great and able to zoom in or out and move the camera to any angle, up or down, left to right, it was great. I have recently changed over to FSX Stream and i am having issues when trying to run the program and i just cant get the program to work. .To explain what i am doing. I have recently completed a total reinstall of FSXSE...It installed it to my "C" drive, which is fine except that the drive is now almost full...Is there a way to tell Orbx FTX Central to install scenery to another drive that I could then map to FSXSE using the Scenery Library? I have tried Manual Download, but Central still puts the new scenery files into "C"...Or, can I simply copy the installed scenery files from "C" to another drive and map it that way? Hello Avsimmers, I just got Ultimate Traffic Live for FSX and downloaded FLAI AI traffic and I tried installing a few custom AI repaints and I seem to have no luck with them. For example I tried to install a few American Airlines NC repaints I loaded up the sim at KMIA to look for the Embraer E-190's if someone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated! I have been using FSX since its release date.

Hi all, I recently started using my computer for the first time in 6 months...FPS was terrible. I uninstalled my GPU driver and had Windows 10 re-install the stock one, suddenly everything started working. A week later I'm having the same issues. Basically I'll get smooth 30+ FPS then suddenly it'll go down to 5-10FPS while my GPU will spike to 99%. It's a Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB. Any ideas? My i7 utilisation still remains only at 50% during the time. Thanks

Hi I am using Win 7 FSX and when I try to open progrmmes like Fslab Spotlights and Aerosoft Configurator, I receive the following message "FSL-Configurator has stopped working" and this happens with other add on configurator. I am not sure what might be the problem. I have disabled Anti Viruses and tried uninstall and reinstall etc but no joy. Many thanks

Hi all, I have tried numerous things to get sounds on Antti Pankkonen's EC130 to work but to no avail. I have followed the read-me for additional sounds (deleting current sound folder and changing general engine data in the aircraft cfg and air file from 3 to 1) but still I am getting either the sound of wheels touching down or continuous start-up sounds. Please let me know of any solutions that might be available for getting sounds to work on this EC130! Thanks

I have been using SFX Deluxe Edition for many years, first on Windows XP and then on Windows 7. I know there are issues with directx12 and SFX but when my PC started to get sluggish, I thought I would try upgrading to Windows 10. After a lot of experimenting I did get it to run as a trial on Win10, which only ran for 30 mins but it would not register, saying that 'the activation server could not be reached'. I tried about 6 or 7 times.
