Recently downloaded the following a/c from simviation: b737 max8 american, TDS 737 Max 8 RYR FSX-1, and the TDS-B737-MAX8-LUFTHANSA for FSX. Am having an issue with these regarding rotation. All work fine except that they will not rotate on takeoff roll. Flaps extend at all settings, but a/c will not rotate at any speed or weights. Have checked calibration of stick, and tried various sensitivity settings. Nothing has worked. Has anyone else had this issue, or know of a fix for the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Had cause to re-load FSX (Deluxe). Have re-installed SP1 and SP2. FSX works with no add-ons. Went to re-install PMDG 737-8900 and message window says PMDG does not recognize old version of FSX (needs updating). First time this has happened. (FSX in it's own folder at top of directory) Can someone explain what has happened please. Glenn Hutchinson

I'd like to hear recommendations about planes to do bush flying over idaho and other places. I love pipers cubs and im planning to buy a2a ones, but i want something more powerful too. These are my choises so far: 1) RA Scout package: is a bit old, and i am afraid that is not DX10 compatible. Could someone confirm this ? 2) Flight Replicas Super Cub: this is my first choice, but i have read issues with contact points, and no fix. Are there others options? Which are the best bush flying (cub style) planes? I will consider any option. Thanks

Hello, (You might take this as an answer to this post 1. Can you imagine how many percent of the world's population can't or don't want to afford a 1080TI or at least a 1070 graphics card? Stuff like this - let's say gaming PC. Can you imagine even how many percent of USA's, GB's, French and German scholars and students can't or don't want to afford a gaming PC? 2. Is there any difference if I get the Aerosoft A320 from Steam versus getting it from the Aerosoft website?

I happen to have found this wonderful tu134, is a very complete model with interiors and generally complete to be a freebe, so I proceeded to download it. Once in my computer I unzipped the file and it showed an Automatic installer folder and a .dll For safetys' sakeI always extract to a folder I create. Here the installer showed and the .dll I ran the installer which was already programmed to find my FSX installation, so I continued... Hi Again: I am considering starting to add mesh to my FSX-SE...Would I be better off buying Ultimate Terrain or going with some of the free mesh that is available? Will adding mesh screw up my payware scenery (i.e., Aerosoft Mega Airports, etc)? Thanks!

Hello, Just picked up the Dash 8, it's awesome, I already love it, but taking off is near to impossible to keep the beast on the runway w/ its limited aileron steering once over I think it's 40 knots. I was advised you must make sure the Dash 8 is perfectly aligned before advancing the power levers to RATING, but of course w/ x-winds it's really problematic IF you can't steer using ailerons w/ auto rudder enabled. I think the documentation says you can get up to 8 degrees of front wheel turn BEFORE you get past 40 knots, then it's acting like steering goes down to nil and that is no like any other plane I've used over the past 20 years including all of the PMDG stuf…

tl;dr: Run the installer as Administrator, and do not install to the default directory. I had a lot of trouble installing FSX on a new machine I built last week. When I googled for a solution, I had the same problems I saw others had been getting -- over the past 2-3 years! But, I never found a solution which worked, even on this website. That isn't to say I never found good tips. 😉 When I installed FSX, it didn't ask for a Product Key, and when I followed with Acceleration. it wouldn't install at all. GRRRRR!!!! Hey there, So I have been using FSX for years but however this problem has just recently popped up: I go ahead to scenery library to add a new scenery, it allows me to add the scenery the new scenery shows up on the list with priority 1 and it creates scenery indexes etc.. However when I exit the settings and move over to fly I cannot see the scenery(i.e. the same old default scenery is present) I then move over to the scenery library and the scenery I just added is absent, I add the scenery again and the cycle repeats itself. I run FSX with Admin rights, deleted FSX.cfg and Scenery.cfg files but none of them have been of any use so far, any help or advice is gr…

Im searching for a good payware A330 for flying in VATSIM. Which one is better, the Wilco or BBS A330? Is the BBS A330's systems more realistic than Wilco's?

Hello! I was wondering if anybody had an idea of why I'm getting transparency on some of my textures for my AI aircraft. The AI aircraft are there and their shadows appear, but the textures are not showing. Interestingly, once the AI aircraft pushback, the textures start to show, but in a transparent way. So maybe it's a problem with the lighting textures? I'm using TFS models and .dds textures. Is there a difference between P3D and FSX textures? Or is it just a bad texture file? Thanks, Lou

Hi, I just installed AAM v.2.2 on my Windows 7 machine. Looks that I installed all correctly - AAM finds all the aircraft in my FSX Folder. HOWEVER, when I click on an aircraft and AAM loads the .air file, all tables only show the number, followed by (????). No data. All windows remain blank. I also tried to load directly from the .air file in the aircraft model, with same result. It seems no data is being loaded. Anyone who saw this issue and can help with a solution? Thanks, Alex

I am not sure where to post this, so I am going to post it here. Radar Contact, purchased for 44.00 from the jdtlc.com website. Had a catastrophic Hard drive failure. Now I need to find a place to download the product. So, I searched the forums and found that sending an email to jd(at)jdtlc.com and he will help you out. So I did, waited 3 or 4 days, no reply. So I added help(at)jdtlc.com to the email and sent it again. So far I am being ignored. What does one have to do to get the attention of the developer?

Hi guys, I tried to supposedly open up all cores on my PC. It showed 1 core and when I clicked on 4 working cores my comp just went dead after a short while .I couldn't start windows and I took it in for repairing my W7. The guy did what he had to do, as technically I dont know much about computers, and after fixed, when I wanted to start FSX by clicking twice on the icon a msg pops up saying ''FS cannot run due to the version of DirectX is not a 9.0. Pls reinstall DX9.0''. I got a hard disk for C- drive and a ssd-E where I play FSX from. There was also a msg popping up saying that side by side the 2 drives aren't equal or something like that but that has stopped …

Hi, Could anyone flying the new Leonardo Maddog X in FSX tell me what the lighting is like? I remember the FS 2004 Maddog had excellent dimmable floodlighting on the 2D panels but only instrument dimming in the virtual cockpit. Apparently the P3D version uses Real Light and dynamic lighting. But is there dimmable panel flood lighting in FSX? And what are the landing lights like: custom or standard FSX? Many thanks, PM

I've just bought 2 download add-on airport scenery packs, both are Aerosoft products, for my FSX Steam. One Manchester and the other Heathrow. The Manchester files unzipped and installed without trouble right into the FSX scenery database without me even 'adding' it to the list of scenery files. Heathrow just won't install (although it is there in the Aerosoft folder) although I've deleted and redownloaded it twice. Has anyone any idea whether this is an FSX problem, or how I could get FSX to recognise it? Any help much appreciated.

Hello all I am using gsx and most of my aircrafts are freeware. Now when i use gsx and request for boarding i noticed that when i am using B777 or B747 i see two trucks bring 5-6 containers for loading the cargo and even the passengers are nearly around 300. When i am using A330 or B787 i see only 40-50 passnegers on board with just 1-2 containers loading to the cargo which seems unrealistic for the A330 and B787. Now i know that it has to do something with the aircraft.cfg but what exactly needs to be done? Just need the confusion to be cleared.

I recently added an add-on aircraft file and found the representation of things like smoke from industrial smoke stacks, ship wakes, aircraft engine exhaust and the like is not opaque black rather than the normal whitish color. Can someone tells me which file(s) might be involved and how I might return it to the proper state? Thanks for your help...
