Hi, As of lately, the loading of FSX-SE is taking a considerable time longer than before. It takes a good 2 minutes to get to the selection menu screen (Free Flight, Mission aso) I noticed, that just before it gets to the selection screen, there is a screen appearing that says something like "the page you are requesting....". The screen disappears too fast for me to read. Here is my question: Is there a keystroke I can use to stop FSX-SE from continuing to load, so I can capture/read what it says. After I have read the screen, I would like to continue loading FSX-SE. Thanks for help

Last night I got a pop-up from STEAM telling me to verify my computer since it is new. When I bought this computer about two months ago, I had to install STEAM and thought at the time that everything was squared away. I've flown several times since then with no problems. Last night I had to log in and verified through my e-mail. STEAM wanted me to install it again. I did just that. The problem is, I lost all of my payware aircraft. There could be more missing such as my ORBX Scenery, I'll check. I just wanted to get this out ASAP to warn others about this problem. I'll check back when I learn more.

It is great to see that there are still some very generous people out there who are willing to give their skills and time to provide us with some really good freeware. By chance a few days ago while browsing on the SimOutHouse website I came across an updated version of Tangier Island (KTGI) in Chesapeake Bay, Virginia. This is actually provides very high quality scenery, which could justifiably be compared with that of Orbx, for this small island and its airport and I can highly recommend it for anyone who likes a little VFR flying in this area. Hello everyone Yesterday i purchased an addon Opusfsi. I installed everything correcly as per it was mentioned. The reason i wanted Opusfsi is mainly for the camera effects. I dont prefer Ezdok or Chaseplane. In opusfsi i have unchecked the weather options. I ve got the opusfsi camera in almost every aircraft but there are no effects (no turbulence, no camera shake while landing, etc). Can someone please suggest me a solution? Actually i am not able to find OpusFsi options in the Addons at the top.

I recently rebuild my machine and installed FSX-SE. I also installed Active Sky Next. When I start FSX-SE, I get the following message: "FS attempting to start "as_btstp_config_manager.exe Version 1.0.1.1, Config entry 2" and the sim askes me if I want to run it. I reply yes and then the sim opens. I uninstalled ASN, Cleaned up everything and reinstalled it, but I still get the same message. Can anyone point me to the problem and how to correct it? Hello guys I tried 3 addons WOAI, UT2 in my friend's PC and the one currently using is MyTraffic 6. I felt like MyTraffic 6 is the better one altough the texture quality is not so good but still is fine because of traffic density in airports. UT2 is also same but the problem is there are lots of liveries missing in it and i dont know how to add and even if i knew it would be burden because there are alot missing. In MyTraffic 6 there are few textures that are missing not alot. Is there a way to add textures? Is there any kind of updates for it? I already installed the MTX 6a update and it added some textures but not the one i wanted. Is there any update beyond the 6a…

Hi guys - I'm fairly new to this. I've seen numerous references to a utility called AIFP3 being required in connection with various ai traffic tasks but I cannot find it in the File Library to download. I can only find what appears to be the previous version AIFP2. Any guidance on this will be appreciated.

Hello everyone, I have a very dissapointing problem, and I hope someone could help me with it. I recently bought the PMDG 777 base pack online, and it was the disc edition. I have used it for a couple of months now, and today i tought I was ready for the 777-300ER expansion package, and bought it. During the installation of the expansion pack, the installer told me to update the base pack, so that is what I tried to do. However, when I inserted the disk and tried to install the SP1, it tells me to install the original release of fsx. I assume it means the normal version of FSX and not FSX-SE. Installing the SP via the PMDG website also does not work, because I d…

I know there's a lot of topics on this all across the sim-internet, but I haven't found anything discussing this specifically (I'm sure it's out there, I just haven't found it). I know that even if I got the computer off of the Starship Enterprise, FSX/FSXSE would not have totally smooth framerates at all times. But what's confusing me is why, after looking at live performance measurements of my hardware components. Flying over dense scenery (orbx ftx base & vector) like the LA area, I get definite stutters - sometimes I'm lucky to get up to 15fps, especially if I'm flying something intensive like a PMDG plane, even with HD cockpit off. Hello people. I am using FSX and running MyTraffic 6. I had some addon airports that were causing problems in the sceneries i.e aircraft would go under the ground, aircraft parked inside terminals, etc. Initially i thought its because of FTX Vector and i saw that there was no option for disabling these airports in the FTX Config and then my friend told me to delete the BR2.......bgl files of those particular airports present in the My Traffic Professional/My Traffic/Scenery folder and it worked. I heard about this addon from Rex Simulations- Worldwide Airports HD that convert all the airports from around the FSX. My query is that if i buy and install it in FSX, will it bring changes in all the airports of FSX? Its because i have some freeware and payware addon airports too. I have some Aerosoft, FSDG Bangalore, Taxi2Gate Hongkong and Qatar airport and some freeware addon airports. Will it bring any conflicts in all these airports? Will there be two terminals creating problems in the scenery?

v3.14 is great but I'm trying to figure out how to open the cockpit door? The manual mentions 3 doors - pax, cargo and paratrooper but the 2D panel lists 4 doors. I'm guessing the cockpit opens with door 3 button but nothing is happening?

Has anyone developed a LORAN simulation (Loran C) add-on for FSX ? I know it was "laid to rest" in the real world in ~2010 but I enjoy flying the older AC and would like to have a LORAN system for them if there's one available out here in cyber space somewhere. Best to all, Ken

Old topic but I wanted to help with my solution. My solution is to temporarily disable my 2nd monitor (Win+P within Win10), load up FSX as needed, then Win+P again to re-enable my 2nd monitor again.

Hi I've been thinking about purchasing a camera tool, such as EZ-Doc or Chaseplane, but I was wondering which one would be the best product for FS. I've watch several videos, such as those put out by FroogleSim and others, that give their impressions on the products. In one video, it was suggested that EZ-Doc actually uses the flight dynamics of the aircraft addon and messes with the files in order to make their product work. I don't know if that's true but one thing for sure, I don't want an addon that messes with the files of another addon, such as the flight dynamics of the addon which claims accurate flight dynamics. Why does the B.B. A330 have such a bad reputation, from looks it looks fine to me so what’s the major cons holding back an aircraft which to me looks like has some potential in a so far relatively unfulfilled area of the flight sim market (as there is an a330 in only development, and no planned a340)

Hello I have another issue in dealing with FSX's crap. Tokyo Narita airport is visible during the day but gone at night. I just discovered this last night as I arrived from Denver. I have HIGHMEXFIX=1 in the CFG file but the airport is still gone. All the others appear fine at night. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Does anyone know where I can find new airline liveries for the ifly 747 v2. For example the new Lufthansa livery as I can’t seem to find anything on the avsim library.

Am not sure if this is the right place for this, so forgive me if it isn't. Is there an app that will show airport layouts (inc. terminals, ramps, taxiways, etc.) in a separate window while in the cockpit, so that progressive taxi will show on it, as opposed to showing progressive taxi on the vc or 3d cockpit? I don't have an extra computer to show them on while in the game.

I was looking at the RNAV East approach chart before my flight. As I checked the descent map thingy, I discovered that after crossing waypoint WI613 at above 5750 feet, there is no exact altitude to descend to except for descent gradient of 6,1%. Is there any way to calculate which altitude to descent to before following the PAPI lights or am I getting this all wrong and I'm supposed to follow the PAPI light after crossing WI613? So I recently Purchased the Feelthere ERJ-145LR From steam, I love the Product, expect there is a slight issue, I don't have any lights on the Exterior of the aircraft (Nav, beacon, Strobe, logo Ect.) There is a video on youtube that I watched and replicated on my aircraft, yet the lights still wont work, if someone could hep that would be amazing, Thanks!!
