Fully updated http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html using the world option and the the world option for ILS. Not the first time using it and I have had it before. But after the updating it and setup and flight plain I keep on getting an message when doing an high altitude airways "Failed to generate a valid airways route. You may want to try VOR-to-VOR or direct GPS instead" I always like to use IFR and when doing long flight or whatever then I pick high altitude airways. Any ideas

Hey guys I'm trying out the demo for P2ATC. Trying to set the PTT button on my yoke. I entered the button I want to use into the box but the PTT functionwont work. And I notice that I can't use the space key for typing while the P2ATC is open. I have to use shift+ space keys toput spaces between the words. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I'm trying to upgrade an aircraft (alabeo's da42 to da42-VI) but I'm stuck in the aircraft configuration file, section [weight_and_balance]. Aircraft Configuration File I need to calculate the MOI for Pitch, Roll and Yaw and formula according to the above link is MOI = EmptyWeight * (D^2 / K), it looks like I need to know the length which is 28ft and 1 inch and the wingspan which is 44 feet and 4 inch. The D and the K values are in the link above, I'm not a math or calculus person though and I don't know how to solve it. Any help calculating the values for these 3 MOIs would be greatly appreciated. I just love this new GNS 750, but because I am flying helicopter the TAWS alerts is driving me nuts. How do I switch it off. ? Any help much appreciated.

Every time I try to launch FSX, it gets stuck on the splash screen and says "Completing setup: generating scenery file indexes." Is there any way to solve this issue?

My apologies if this is an odd question, but I hope someone is able to help me. I'm not very knowledgeable of views , camera angles etc in basic FSX operation. I am struggling to find a decent Twin Otter cockpit panel layout that I can refer to take measurements from and scale as I work towards replicating the cockpit physically. I have been playing around with taking measurements from within FSX's Aersooft Twin Otter Extended aircraft using a software tool called "Meazure". Is there a means in FSX to display the current zoom factor of the display? Control-Z gives me a wealth of information, but not the one piece I need.

26% is as far as it gets. It was a fresh install. ORBX being the only add-on. Administrator rights. Anti virus off. Deleted the FSX Config. file.The Scenery Configurator is loaded with red triangles, and that's about it.

Hello, I've had a look around for the answer and seem to get conflicting responses, how do I customize the FA announcements In the Dash 8? I've trimmed the relevant audio In Audicity, I found where the announcements are In the majestic folders; but I cant for the life of me get my custom audio to play In the Dash 8... Since my disappointing purchase of the b1900 from Calorado several years ago, I notice that they deliver plenty of aircrafts to the sim community. My question is, however, how can they stay in business if most of their aircrafts are always seen as 'incomplete'. Or, rather, is it technical limitations that holds them back( read, lack of expertise in aircraft systems). I am just curious to know if they communicate with their customers regularly. tc

I've been on FSX:SE for almost a year now and have had no problems with TrackIr 5 working. It worked fine last night. Today I go to fly and Trackir is recognized by windows, I clicked on the update, then went to go fly and Trackir will not recognize FSX:SE. No blue light to indicate that it has recognized FSX and connected to it. Never had this before. Looked on some forums for some advice. Found a link on the Steam forum to reset the simconnect but the link went to a page that was dead. Another recommended changing some lines in different files. Not going there. After updating my AMD RX 580 graphics card, FSX initial screen opened but had completely black aircraft selection screen. All other items worked correctly. When the fly key was pushed the screen was black and vibrating, scenery loading was attempted, and FSX locked up. I restored my computer to an earlier time when FSX and the graphics driver were functioning. I uninstalled and reinstalled an old and new graphics driver several times. Neither action solved the problem. I searched several FSX forums and found this issue has occurred in past mostly on earlier MS Flight Simulater versions. Hello, I am looking for an aircraft lower than 40$ with a nice quality and details (VC, Systems, etc) and can fly long flight. I found these 2 aircrafts with same price. fspilotshop sells Tristar with 35$. Aerosoft store sells DC-8 with ~ 40$. I don't want Captain Sim L-1011 because it's the L1011-100 which has a range of 2600 nm. I currently have feelThere E-Jets v2 and Aerosoft A320/A321. I want something better. Now I am asking which aircraft is better. I personally prefer L-1011 as an aircraft because it got a range of 6000 nm with maximum fuel and can carry 240 passengers, while DC-8 has 4700 nm and 190 passengers. I re-installed the Scenery Configurator and found most of the scenery has the red triangles that show it's not the right path. Do I have to correct each one manually or is there an easier and quicker way of correcting this problem?

Okay, it's been quite a while since I've posted here... years, probably. Part of that is life occurred, part is I lost my sim, computer and old files. Literally. Fire, flood and other water-damage. It's all gone. So, I'm starting over from scratch. I haven't been on this site for so long, the site has been re-designed and I can't find the "tutorials" section of advice area/threads for beginners. This may have (or probably has) been asked and answered before, but here goes nothing: The performance of the FSX-SE default C208B, like some other default planes, seems fairly anemic compared to real-life specs. I am not an aircraft.cfg or .air file expert, but wouldn't mind learning at least the basics of flight performance tweaking. Having said that, what I am looking for ATM is a modified pair of files, or the necessary entries I'd need to make in order to bring this wonderful plane to spec. Even better would be having a set of the default files and a set of tweaked files so I might see the differences. The performance of the default doesn't seem to …

Aircraft airfile manager is what I am using. In section 1506, there are rows for mach index. Some air files use only two rows while others use more with regards to power settings. My question is, if the table only has two rows and I would like to use four, how do I add those two extra rows for mach index? Trevor

Hi all, I apologize if this is a bad question, I've just been out of simming for awhile and getting back into it. So, I have FSX-SE and I want to buy an aircraft add-on, a DHC-2 Beaver from Aerosoft, and I noticed in the system requirements it says " DirectX®11 compliant video card". I think I have the Steves Direct 10 I think it is. I have that and Orbx. So, is Direct 11 available and should I get it and where from? Do I have to first delete Steves 10? Sorry for all the questions, I've been away for awhile. Thanks much for any advice.
