I have reloaded/redownloaded FSX-SE three times, and each time I end up with no terrain under the auto generated scenery...Can anyone give me a hint as to how to correct this? Thanks...

I am running FSX SE with Wind 10 64 bit. In Dec 2017 I received a new Jetline Systems PC with P3d4 installed. I got so frustrated with not being able to enter most of my FSX programs, like Radar Contact, I installed FSX SE and all-in-all I have been quite pleased with it. This morning I entered cross country weather into AS2016 and as usual right clicked to open FSX SE with Admin rights. It opened to the initial screen as usual, but when I clicked on Free Flight, I got a window reflecting Aircraft Initialization Failure Aircreation 582SL. Been away for a couple of years since my 2012 Hp Elite Desktop (Windows 7) stopped working. I'm ready to start flying again! Just wondering: Will I be able to reinstall all my software unto the new rig? I have thousand of dollars in software (everything from Radar Contact to all PMDG etc.) most of it I have saved on an external drive as .exe files. Will PMDG etc. give me any trouble if I need new license keys etc.? Also, Should I upgrade to the steam edition? I was running standard FSX with acceleration previously. Good to be back : )

I wonder if anyone has had a chance to compare the Spitfire Mk1/II offered by JustFlight and A2A. They are both early model Spitfires from the Battle of Britain period and both seem absolutely excellent. JF make a fully functional demo available and I loved it but the A2A version, though it's been on the market longer, seems to have an even better VC and flight dynamics. Both are real winners so I'm not wanting to seem like I'm being critical of either, but I am curious if anyone has been able to try both and if so, how would you compare them?

Hi, Not sure whether I'm doing anything wrong here, I've searched this forum but found nothing... When I set the flaps, I use the mouse in the VC to drag the lever into the correct position. This sets the flaps correctly as can be seen externally and on the flaps position indicator on the right MFD. However, when I am landing with flaps 15 set AND the GPWS flaps selector set to 15, I get the "TOO LOW, FLAPS" callout. I've used FSUIPC to monitor the internal FS variable for the flaps position and found that this does not change if I drag the lever in the VC. It only changes when I use the FS keyboard commands F6 and F7 to raise/lower the flaps. Using F6…

Hi I got a beefy PC and installed Orbx, PMDG (the usual stuff) and was amazed at the performance, not joke with traffic, weather and Uk2000 EGLL I was getting 27fps! However, I ran into an issue fast, my VAS would be used up quickly... I tried lowing settings, but the VAS issue did not go away. I have a decent GPU: GTX1060 6GB so I thought Steve's Dx10 fixer would put some of the load onto my GPU so it would free up VAS, am I correct? Setting up a new 1079ti system and, once I installed FSX SE, I immediatly noticed it was very slow in changing from window to full screen and vice versa - the screen goes black for 3-4 secs during the change. This compares with an almost instant change with my 5 yr old Win 7 system. I have at the back of my mind that I had this sometime (years) ago with the Win7 system but the old brain cells are not what they were and I have no idea how I fixed it. Hello: I have an interesting problem occurring. I have a hat switch programmed on my joystick - the Saitek X52 to move the flaps up and down. For some reason, on the Dash 8, when I try to retract flaps after take-off using that switch, there is no response; flaps won't retract. I have to reach with the mouse and click to retract flaps. However, after that first movement/use of the mouse, the flaps extent/retract works again with the hat switch. I can't figure out why the flaps won't move until I first use the mouse. I'm not experiencing this issue with any other airplane. Any thoughts. Thanks.

Hello everyone and as always, thanks in advance for the help a few days ago in a box I found a midi controller of the Native Instrument (model X1) that I used with music programs such as Ableton or Traktor, now I would like to connect this controller to the simulator but I have no idea how to do any suggestions? thank you Eugenio

Could anyone please help me solve this issue whereby when i try to run the majestic q400 on fsx i get an error message saying fsx could not load .ini file please install as an admistrator. The title of the error is MJCINI. I have tried installing it and uninstalling it several times, Ive also unistalled several addons to see if they were causing this error. Can anyone help me out!!!

What these two switches for? I know that ECU stands for Engine Control Unit but I have no idea what these are used for!

I recently purchased the F1 GTN Complete package and installed it into FSX SE. Recently when flying in one of my GTN 750 equipped aircraft I noticed when putting in a VOR frequency, my HSI course indicator works correctly but the GTN 750 does not show the distance to the VOR. I could have sworn this was working correctly until recently and I'm trying to find out what I did that could have caused this to happen. I have uninstalled all of the aircraft with the instrument panel integrated GTN 750s, Uninstalled the GTN Complete package. Rebooted and reinstalled the GTN Complete package and the aircraft running the installations as administrator. The issue still exists. D…

I wrote a very detailed set of flights of the CBI airlift back in 2008 for DC3 Airways. All known actual routes were included at the time. Alex Nicholson's scenery added all the necessary runways and radio beacons for navigation purposes. The charter can be found on the Dc3airways.net website. The charter number is 1066-11. Hello, yesterday I finally bought the amazing GTN Complete Package by Flight1 and I absolutely love it. There are only options to include either the 750 or the 650 into the VC of the A2A C182, however, I would like to know how I can include both of them into the VC. Hi guys. I still confusing with the main interface in airbus aerosoft. The heading, alt, v/s, speed button, etc it doesn't work.. It only could pressed but the nominal didn't change. So i can't fly with the ifr clearance that atc given to me. Have i fill the cdu completely before i set those ifr clearance in panel..??

I just bought myself the beutiful Fokker 50 by PAOB and it works great. There is just one issue. The primary flight display and map are black and wont work. I have tried to find a soulution but can't. Does anybody know how to fix it? Oh and btw, I use MS FSX:SE. PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I purchased the 64-bit PILOT Edition For P3D v4 last week and given the technical issues I waited until you sent out the update that the registration servers were back up and running. I tried to install and when I'm prompted to enter in my Email-OrderNumber-LastName to register I get an error stating "no order found". The purchase was made on Friday 25 May, 2018 through the FS Pilot Shop and everything on the invoice I got after the check out process says "completed" and PayPal confirmed the transaction went through. Hi--I'm running 5.22.2 in P3dv4.1 and am having issues with the Buttkicker sound source. I use three sound sources. The main source is a generic USB card and voice is from the onboard Realtek card. The OPUS Buttkicker is on the SoundBlaster card recommended in the OPUS instructions, in a USB 2.0 power strip. I always set the SoundBlaster as the source in the OPUS Buttkicker control and make sure it's running correctly before I start P3d. I then shut down OPUS, start P3d and then re-start OPUS. Most times when I start up OPUS after P3D, the Buttkicker sound source somehow switches to "No Sound Source Selected." OPUS won't let me change to the correct source, and th…
