Hi, Life sometimes gets in the way of doing what you'd like to do and I have been away from flight simulation for a few years. With a new PC, though, I was determined to dive back in and I installed FSX Deluxe Edition. Activation was apparently successful even though I expected problems, since I was installing FSX on the same "FS Disk" but in a different computer, after my previous PC became nothing but an oversized doorstop upon "upgrading" it from Windows 7 to Windows 10. FSX keeps looks like it is going to launch successfully. I get messages that setup is completing and scenery data base is building but then it just disappears from my screen. My FSX shortcut …

Good evening, I've bought the Dash 8 a week ago and spent a lot of time to configure my Saitek Radio Panel. I can change the com and radios frequencies ... But i can't make the StandBy button working ... Thank you for your help ! Regards, Oliver

I had a strange thing happen to me all of sudden. Normally fsx starts up to the main screen. But now it starts a flight with the trike in Friday harbor. That causes a problem for me since my aerosoft airbus has some type of issue if the airbus is not picked first the engines will become unknown and is unflyable. So it is crucial for me to get this fixed. Any ideas?

I have a computer that I already have FSX Gold edition installed on and I want to install the Steam edition. I am hoping the steam edition will clean up some of the graphics and give a better overall appearance than the original boxed set I have had for years. I plan on purchasing the bundle that has the steam edition plus and enhancement package, will this install along side my original or will I have to uninstall the original for the steam edition to properly install. My setup by the way is a 4GHZ Quad core, 8G RAM, PNY GeForce GTX 970 video card. Saitek Yoke, pedals, throttle quadrant, and switch panel. Thanks! George

Hi All, I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum. I've just purchased PERFECT FLIGHT - ULTIMATE 737NG. I would have gone for the PMDG 737 but not sure my computer would handle it. My question is what pitch attitude should the TOGA pitch the flight director to? Mine is only going to 8 degrees whereas I'm pretty sure in a real 737 it pitches to about 15 degrees? I've got a couple of airline assessments coming up and could really do with my sim behaving like the real thing. Any help/tips and tricks/advice would be greatly appreciated, Jon.

HI, I also have this black scenery problem on fsx boxed version. Everything is black, the runways the taxiways and the terminal. However if deleting the fsx.cfg file i fear that it doesnt regenerate automatically and causes fsx to stop working. Can someone please enlighten me on that. Cheers :) Imran.

My operating system is Window 10.I installed FSX,then service pack SP-1 which worked fine. After installing Service pack 2 ( SP-2 ) I got the following error message: SP-2 ended before completing installation . Your system has not been modified. To install later please run setup again. How can I make it work ? How to modify the system ? What is meant by setup again ? Thank your for your help Paul 12

Hi, I’m new to these forums but I’m a relatively experienced PMDG 737-800 pilot, I was wondering if anybody here knew the procedures Norweigan used whilst they operated 737-800s transatlantic and what they use whilst operating their 737 MAX 8s transatlantic. To my knowledge they use a cost index of 13 but I know nothing else of the procedures. If anyone knows anything about ETOPS and long flights on the 737 in general please let me know, Thanks, Ben Geoghegan

The default FSX ship that sails around the Niagara River below Niagara Falls has a wake that goes straight up into the air. Is there a fix for that? I have Nielsen's World Wide Shipping that has fixes for his ships that did that in FSX. But this is a default ship (I think) that just makes circles below the falls. Noel

The QW 757 is amazing, and another feature I love to point out are the cabin announcements. Issue is, I can't hear them. I have the sound files, have SP1 and 2 installed, have everything necessary. Why can't I hear them? It said itself on the website it was all automatic.

Hello, I see that the quality wings 787 has been released for P3D and the FPS people are getting isn't very good. I fly FSX, not P3D, and wanted to know if the FSX FPS is better than P3D that being becaause it has been released to FSX for a while now and service packs have been released. New machine and when I try to install FSX boxed Deluxe edition, the install stops in the setup when it says "removing old files" I have removed all the files that I know to exist but it will stop at that point of the install. I use a USB CDROM to install the app. Any ideas?

Hi I am looking to recreate my last real holiday in my sim which was Gatwick to Kos, I have the UK2000 Gatwick scenery but don't have any for Kos right now, I have found KOS X by areosoft but as it's quite an old product am not sure if it's any good? Would also love to find some other airports in the greek islands too. Does anyone have experience of using Kos X or can recommend other aiports in the area. Many thanks Daz

Yesterday FSX was running fine in Win 10. Today the sound is crackly. Intro music, planes, everything. I thought maybe I had a speaker going bad, but it only happens with FSX. So far I've tried: Switching the FSX sound settings from <default primary device> to Speakers (Creative SB X-Fi) Various settings in Creative Audio Control Panel Rebooting the PC Reinstalling the sound card (have the newest driver) Rebuilding the FSX config Disabling the HD audio device and Real Tec audio device in Device manager (with PC restart) Nothing works. Happy to be back here after several years with a new instance of FSX and a lot of Orbx scenery installed. I used to fly with FSX up on my left screen and Plan-G on the right screen. I don;t seem to be able to have anything but a blank screen on the 2nd display when FSX is active. Could some kind person please remind me of what I need to do to make this happen like I used to? Windows 10 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti here running NVIDIA driver 23.21.13.9101. FSX and Acceleration cleanly installed with Orbx scenery.

Hi All Can anyone please tell me how to Stop 'BT Virus Protect' (McAfee) from Quarantining my Navigraph Charts Desktop shortcut. This has happened twice now. I am able to restore it, but surely there must be a way to prevent it re-occurring. Hello there, everyone! Recently, i have been playing FSX also known as Flight Simulator X/10. I've been flying planes in the simulator. The problem is that when i use a typical control command, it responds a couple times, and then, it doesn't work at all. Its like: 1 time - works 2 time - works 3 time - works 4 time - works 5 time - doesnt respond/doesnt work Does anyone have a solution to what i could do to fix this problem? I am reinstalling the simulator right now, hoping for a fix If it doesnt work, is there a solution? Thanks

Well it's gone past CANNOT CONNECT TO SERVER, but now I am getting this INTERNAL ERROR, when trying to authenticate to install. I've checked the order # and my email and last name, all seems correct. I figure it is still something with the server mishaps over the last few days?

I have bitten the bullet and have gone over to P3d V4.2 as it supports 64bits now. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate (not yet gone to Win10) I still have FSX installed but I need to unistall it as I need the hard drive space (I have a multitude of airports etc). Therefore I would be grateful if someone who has successfully done this (I know there must be many) give me some pointers, for example do I need to install all my FSX airports including UK2000 and all my Orbx sceneries? as it seems to me that all these sceneries will be left in place otherwise. I just need to know how do this properly and cleanly so it has no effect on my system and no effect on P3d. …

How do I move my log from FSX to FSX Steam

I recently purchased Ultimate Traffic Live for my FSX SE and PREPARED v4. Regardless of which sim I choose, UTL is not automatically activated, it has to be turned on before the sim is activated. Is this normal?

When I start FSX-SE and it says "Generating Scenery Indexes" it freezes at 68%. If I delete the scenery.cfg and then start FSX-SE, it goes though fine, but deleting the scenery.cfg removes all my Orbx scenery from the scenery library. Starting FTX Central (I need to do it while the sim is running though, because if I do it when sim is not running it will have the freezing problem again) adds them back in but in order to activate them I need to go to the scenery library and click ok. Guess what. Stuck at 68% on Generating Scenery Indexes. Any ideas as to how I can get this to not freeze at 68% besides deleting the scenery.cfg before starting the sim every time? Many …
