OK, there's right now a 50% discount (I don't know if this is common for Orbx), and now I considering purchasing both the Base and Vector packs for FSX-SE. What do you think about those packs, regarding VAS and FPS impact? I understand the visual impact is very good, this is not to be discussed 😉

When the flight has loaded the cockpit camera (which is undocked) resolution is too small. I am using a 3 monitor setup with a resolution of 5760 x 1080. This means that the size of the cockpit camera has to be stretched across and down all the screens. I would like it to load at the correct resolution. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks

Call this a statement of defeat if nothing else. I've tried both updates and changing the elevator_effectiveness and still keeping the A2A C172R under control in the air has remained elusive. I've recalibrated the rudder, yoke, etc. with FSUIPC4. The patches did help with the problems I had with the nose rising on take off and changing the elevator_effectiveness had some, but not a enough effect on the porpoising. Still it feels a hundred harder to keep under control than the multiple real C172s that I've flown. Has anyone successfully purchased a navdata update from Garmin without owning a real Garmin unit? I wanted to purchase the "GTN United States Garmin Navigation Database," but it appears you first have to provide the serial number of a real unit, as well as aircraft information before you can purchase and install the database. I've heard that the GTN trainer can be updated with current nav files (mostly from RW pilots using their own Garmin data), but the problem I have is being able to purchase and download the navdata update to begin with. Now that I have Prepared v4 along with FSX SE, I find that my Traffic 360 and Ultimate Traffic 2 are both outdated. So now the question is between Traffic Global and Ultimate Traffic Live, which is better. My understanding is that since I already own Traffic 360 and Ultimate Traffic 2, I will be able to use a discount coupon for either one. If there's another payware out there please let me know. Freeware is out because my knowledge of files is weak.

I know this is a stupid question, but I have been flying PMDG aircraft for so long, I forgot how to use the Garmin 1000. Been reviewing the Help manual, but don't see ANYTHING about how to engage the autopilot and have it hold a heading or Nav course. I press Z and it seems to keep the wings level, etc., but I can't have it change heading with the Heading knob. Can anyone help an "old" newbie trying to relearn the G1000? Dave Hinson

Hello can someone recommend which "Pool Size" I should use for my FSX-SE system. Specs: I5 8600K @4.8GHZ GTX1060 6GB 8GB RAM At the moment my size is default [BUFFERPOOLS] UsePools=1 I know you can change it to hundreds of combinations, can anyone who has a similar setup recommend a size for me or should I leave it off? -Thanks Ollie

Ok I’m having a problem, maybe someone can help me…I bought 2 islands from “Pilots of the Caribbean” (The island of (St Lucia) and the island of (St Vincent) I have FSX and windows 7, after the downloads and installations everything was ok, but after a while every time that I entered into the space of those 2 islands my FSX stops, I mean you still see the panel of your plane and everything down there but nothing moves, and the buttons have no actions…and if I wanted to take off from one of those islands the FSX loads until 88% and after that the little circle starts going around forever….my question is why it did work perfectly at the beginning and why it does not work an…

Hello guys I have a problem regarding the playback of fsrecorder. When record the video with fsrecorder while i am flying....i keep ezdok on and it seems to work perfectly while flying...the shakes and turbulense everything will be perfect but when i play the fsrecoder saved video...it seems that fsrecorder does not record Ezdok. When i playback there is no turbulense and no camera shakes while touchdown...everything is so simple. Is it that fsrecorder does not work with any camera addon because i tried it with Chaseplane too but it didnt work too fsrecorder didnt record Chasplane too. Can someone please tell me any solution?

Yesterday, I installed a freeware weather engine for my Flight Simulator X called FSXWX. It required FSUIPC4 in order to work properly. After installing FSUIPC4, I noticed that my flight simulator was automatically changing from cockpit view to spot plane/tower view every 5-10 minutes, without my pressing any buttons on my keyboard or Logitech Joystick. I can not figure out how to install the Reality XP Complete Version GNS V2 (RXP GNS 530W/430W V2) into the Carenado P46T Malibu JetProp DL. I can not get either the 530 or 430 to load into the cockpit panel. Hello, When flying with a PMDG aircraft and using PROATC X at the same time, the controler always gives me a very early descent point. (about 150 miles to destination). How can I fix this problem?

On my PC I always have to install and stow the gear pins before a flight otherwise I won't be able to retract gear. Is anyone here having the same problem? So even when you can SEE the pins are stowed in the VC and even when the option in the FMS show 'Install' (which means they are stowed) it is mandatory for me to install and stow them. Every time. I just wasted half an hour because of this because I forgot to do this. And landing the plane, shutting the engine down and opening the door to stow the pin doesn't help either: the only way to get this working again is to restart the entire sim. Very annoying.

Hi there, How do I flare the TDS 787 on landing? Something is not right. Almost as soon as my back wheels touch the ground, the nose wheel slams straight down, making it almost impossible to make a smooth landing. Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

Hi All. I am new to the forum, so please be patient with me. I have had FSX on my computer for several years. I wanted to remove and reinstall and just have the default aircraft. I removed it and when I tried to reinstall, depending on how I try to install it, I get error messages. One tells me the install wizard will not work. Another tells me I don't have enough memory. I have tried all the solutions I can find on the internet, so now I am turning to the forum for assistance. There must be some trick I am not aware of to make the game install and run. 90% of my flights in FSX are with the A2A C182 Skylane and the Flysimware Lear 35, which both have the Flight 1 GTN-750 installed. About a month ago, I began to have significant stuttering problems with FSX where, previously, this was not an issue other than the occasional microstutter. Despite the stuttering, I was consistently getting 40-50 fps and higher but the stutters continued to get worse. Hello everyone, I'm using FSX SE and I looked everywhere, every forum, every website for a better perfomance cloud. I don't use REX. I downloaded some some DXT3 clouds from flightsim.com but I still got really bad perfomance with clouds. On ground, clear weather - 42 FPS On ground, BKN clouds - 12 FPS The density is set to Medium (otherwise if i set low i don't have clouds at all) and my perfomance is really bad! Please if someone know a solution for better perfomance clouds i'm needing it! I don't care about beauty. I just want to see cloudy weather (when it's cloudy of course) with some perfomance! After getting setup in FSX:SE I am unable to take a screenshot as normal using the "v" key. I get an error message that states, "Unable to open screenshot file." I can take a screenshot in Steam but it will not load it into the FSX photo file as I have directed. I just want to take a screen shot that I can download to my computer. I've been trying to use some of my FS9 aircraft in FSX:SE and each time the textures are missing. I've noticed that's even the case for free FS9 aircraft downloads that are claimed to be FSX compatible. I've been surprised a number of time that reviewers of such aircraft that claim to be using them with FSX, never seem to mention that they've taken the aircraft through some conversion step. When I browse these FS9 airplane's folders, I notice that the texture folders have files with a BMP extension (what I know to be standard bitmap graphics format), whereas my FSX aircraft texture folders have files with a DDS extension.
