I am a GA flyer normally, but of late I have become an avid bushflyer, particularly in lovely Idaho. There I fly the Cessna 185 (Bush tyres), the 207 Stationair and the BN-2 Islander. I just bought the Cub from A2A, half for Heidi to be honest, and the other half because I did hear what a great bush plane the Cub makes. But after a few flights I'm left a bit underwhelmed. What does the Cub do that other planes can't? Its slow as heck, and has very little power, at times I feel like I'm flying a motor glider. What's the attraction, of the A2A model in particular? I don't know whats happening but I cant launch my fsx se anymore after installing reshade. the splash screen wont even show up. Ive been searching through forums and other people are getting this problem but I cant find a fix for it

Is there a CRJ panel that gives the correct TAS, and shows wind speeds and shows vectors on the MFD? I have a panel that shows vectors with incorrect TAS, another that shows the correct TAS and wind but no vectors. I'm using a Lear 45 panel now which gives me everything I want (even terrain) but it would be cool to use a CRJ panel when flying a CRJ! I'm not fussy about which one, 200, 700, 900 or 1000; I would use the same panel for all the CRJ versions.

Hi, I've looked everywhere for this scenery. According to a post at Simouthouse, the file used to exist here. I guess it was lost in the great calamity and never reuploaded. Does anybody have this scenery file, and will it work in FSX? My dad trained there in the 50's and I'd like to fly around there. I know it's closed now and has become a solar panel farm. Thanks, Tom

Have loaded fmc I think properly ..take off and crash with in a 1000 ft what am I doing wrong ..want to fly the plane ..really do...but what am I doing wrong

Wasn't sure which forum to put this topic in, so move it if need be. So recently I bought ChasePlane, installed it and it did most things it was supposed to do. However, there were a couple of issues. First of all, I was unable to connect ChasePlane to WiFi, (my PC wifi is fine, but ChasePlane wouldn't connect) meaning I could not use the community tab - it was greyed out and I assume the WiFi was the issue. Second problem, the major one, it was very delayed with its responses at times. When the simulator was paused it worked fine and it also worked great while stationary on the ground. However, while flying there were times the cameras just wouldn't move or switch, …

While digging around to make some "custom" changes to thedefault A321 panel ( adding the FSX radar as a toggled functionon the ECAMS2 display ) I noticed that when you click on the ECAMS2 display area to call up the LARGE sized dispaly, the functionbuttons of the bottom of the display do not work, as they do in the"normal" sized ECAMS2 display.Here's the problem and the simple "fix"...The normal display uses "Airbus_A321!popup_glass_panel_small" toprovide the bezel and thus the function buttons. New with flying Gliders and yet I have learnt it over the days that I have been free. However just can't setup and flight plane that we can leave from one airport to another that's close together. Then once landed at the airport then take off to the next that's near bye. Has anyone flown Gliders before and have created an flight plane? Please Share thanks.....

Anybody have an issue with the default learjet 45 where the landing gear alert sound plays even if its down? I also got the "too low gear" warning on final and the warning buzz keeps playing even after landing. Game version is FSX deluxe with acceleration.

Trying to use the use the saved flight for the Majestic Dash 8 tutorials and I'm having an issue entering the start point of the flight at CYSD into the FMS. I've pressed FPL and then the button left of line 1. I type the first character C and then the plane starts rotating. Seriously, I use a top down view and the scenery is rotating around the plane! There is also a line at the top of the screen with the latitude and longitude of CYZD and it also includes the mag hdg which is incrementing and wrapping thus a symptom of the rotation. I have Spad.Next as well running as well with this arrangement. Anybody else run into this?

Hi, I have been having issues with my FSX which i have installed on a new pc, I have now been trying to get this working for months with no joy and at the moment the FSX is crashing all the time with a message saying that a unknown error and will report the information, Or something along those lines. Due to loosing the fsx acceleration activation code from the case, I was unable to install acceleration disc and installed the SP2 update and which has made no difference. Is iot possible to locate the fsx acceleration activation code in the fsx program on my old PC in order to write down the code and use it on my new PC. Also could there be something …

I recently purchased AS16 and REX 5, and heard that ASCA is really good. I’m already loving the two add ones that I purchased. I’m wondering, is it worth it? What are your opinions on it? What benefit do I get from it, considering that I already have AS16 and SkyForce 3D?

Hi; I currently use EZDOC for basically various cockpit and outside aircraft views, to simulate cockpit movement due to turbulence, runway takeoff and touchdown shakes; granted the shakes are subjective but it adds a good touch. My question is, does anyone know (due to ownership) if the updated PMDG 747 V2 comes with the ability to add similar views or cockpit shakes? I think I read one review that states that it does but couldn't quite remember or not sure. I couldn't see anything on the net to confirm. I know the new -8 has some cool new features that the V2 400 does not such as rain drops on the windscreen etc..etc. so not sure if it was the -8 that has the n…

Hello All: I am struggling with the hardest problem I've ever had in 20+ years of simming. It involves add on sound handling. I am running FSX Gold, 4790k @ 4.5, 970 GTX, and Win 7 Pro 64. An add on that I am using runs .wav files via a DLL loaded in the FSX/Gauges, with .wavs stored in the FSX/Sound folder, and the DLL called under the add on FSX/SimObjects/Aircraft/add on. The DLL is found by FSX on initial load and presented in the dialogue box for approval, and I click "yes". So everything looks good to go. The problem is that the sounds are not running, or are somehow being lost so they are not heard in FSX. I have done a wide search on the web looking for ways …

Hi guys I have bought and installed Iceland X and Keflavik X and it seems to be a problem with my ORBX Global Base pack and ORBX Vectors. The mesh and scenery around the airport is very bad, there are some texture and mesh issues and large grey areas around the runway and the airport. How can I solve this? I already tried to configure runway on FTX 3 Central, still not working.. regards Joorut

I installed the latest steam update. Fired up the sim and missing are all of my A2A, PMDG, and other payware aircraft from my hanger. My Girlfriend unplugged my external hard drive where I keep Steam so she could plug in our Christmas Tree, UGH! Not sure if that's the problem though.

I've just had to re-install my Duke V2 (using the new installer) but I'm getting an Aircraft Initialisation error that alleges the Winglets are at fault. Does anyone know anything about this fault OR how I can get my favourite bird flying again ?

Hello, I bought Carenado's da62 when it first came out, even though they already came out with two updates I'm still very unhappy with it, and one of the issues is the drastic drop of FPS, I don't have a supercomputer but with my current settings which are somewhat low I usually get over 30fps but with this aircraft it goes down as low as 10fps, it gets a little better with the Lite version, which I get 3 or 4 fps more than the regular version. So I want to ask if there's another company coming out with DA62 for FSX in the near future that might be worth considering it? I know Aerobask has one but they only make it for XP11 so, for now, I'm stuck with Carenado's!

Ok, Brand new upgrade, everything installed and FSX will crash I believe its the uiautomationcore.dll file Can someone tell me if the following is the correct way to install the file. 1. Download uiautomationcore.dll 2. go to the download folder 3. Copy the uiautomationcore.dll file 4. go to the fsx folder and paste the file. 5. Start up FSX and everything should work. Is that the correct way of installing uiautomationcore.dll file? i am on windows 8.1 64 bit Thank you for any help, Its just placing the file that i need to get right.
