As quoted in the subject, default airport buildings disappear and re-appear in regard of the hat-view angle. An ADEX exclude may help, but doesn't eliminate the problem. This does not happen during daylight. I 'm sure I 'm not the only one to notice that. Is it an FSX known issue ? If yes, what's the solution or a workaround to it ? Thanks for your time.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how you transition from GPS mode to NAV mode, to enable an ILS approach. Have read manual from top to bottom, maybe am missing something... Cheers, Kurt

I have a new issue after uninstalling Squakbox. I used CCleaner to uninstall Squakbox and when I re started FSX I got a message that I've never seen before... "Scenery area .115 missing". I checked the scenery.cfg file and area .115 is the default FSX Reno. I don't fly into Reno often but I would like it to fix this problem. Any ideas? Thanks!

So after years of working with FSX, I might be ready to transition to Prepare. But there is one nagging problem (besides forking out the $700 to 1000 for a new system and $199 license cost for P3v4, and having to use windows 10) The problem is that everytime I look at a Youtube video with Prepare I don't see a big enough jump in the over all visuals??? Meaning I thought it would be like "Oh my god wow!" but it was more like "really this is the newer better sim????" Is it just me or really bad Prepare videos? Because before forking out all that money I want to be blown away. As with most of you I have gotten my FSX sim to near perfection with all the add on's…

Does anyone know how to get this excellent addon that I had for many year install on the latest Windows 10 64bit into FSX-Steam? I remember installing it on FSX Steam a few years ago and now for some reason it doesn't like. I go as far as selecting/browsing where FSX is installed and then nothing, the installer disappears! Tried the compatibility options and still zilch, nada. I know for sure it works in the game, but now it won't let me install it. If anyone that has 737 Pilot in Command by Just Flight CD Box ver. and has a secret trick to get it installed in FSX-STEAM..... please help!

Yeah, the title is weird. Ok, so I have 2 HD's on my Desktop, C drive is and SSD and is really just a boot drive, it holds Win10 and a few other things, D drive is a normal 3TB HD and holds everything else, including FS. So right before Christmas my SSD took a massive dump and failed on me, I bought a new one and got Win10 reinstalled on it and such. However, ALL of my games and sims are on my D drive. FSX is giving me issues. Whenever I try to start up FSX I Get an Error Code: 8-c0000006 message. If I click Yes, it takes me to the Microsoft "why you should activate your product" page. As an FS user for many years (I'm 72), I have been running FSX-SE for the last few years. I have resigned myself to flying with aircraft shadows turned off, since switching them on results in AI aircraft disappearing. Fired up the simulator today, and lo and behold I now have AI aircraft at my airports with my aircraft shadows turned on. Has Steam fixed this problem?

Just back from an hour and half flight wringing out Golden Age Simulations' new (Sept. '18 release) Stearman. What an hoot! It's been over ten years since I flew a real biplane, so I was really thrilled to be reunited with an old and willing love. After a stall series, some lazy eights, and a couple loops I decided to see if the old girl could do a snap roll. And boy can she! Hi All, just a quick question, been Googling old post on moving FSX to New Drive. Copy and past FSX to new Driver, creat a short cut Desktop to FSX exe, Delete Old FSX. States it works fine. I no little , but surly all the registry paths would have been broken. It just can’t be that easy, I find FSX one hell of a beast. Trubshaw.

I am trying to change the aircraft call signs by editing the airplane.cfg file but it will not let me. It saying that I have not got authority. Please help.

Stumbled onto this fact; For whatever reason, in FSX stock settings (NO WEATHER ADDONS), IF YOU CHECK 'Detailed clouds" YOU WILL NOT SEE SPECTACULAR LIGHTNING. If you choose "Simple clouds" ... you will Made no sense to me but I did read that if you use REX, you MUST have Detail clouds checked, so I can only quess that when checked, FSX is looking for something else or specific and when it can not find it (ie REX or whatever), you lose the spectacular lightning, So, now that I have found this, I will tweak my advanced all station weather settings for clouds to see if I can increase them and of course retain spectacular lightning

I don't know what I did I used to be able to pan around the aircraft from front to front and now I can only pan 180 degrees, it stops when getting to the sides, I can't pan all the way to the front of the aircraft, I can pan from the back of the aircraft to either side of the airplane, does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi All ive been trying to get FSX to read from an external Drive. Now messed things up. On starting FSX I now get a message, “ Sceanery.CFG File Error. Invalid Remote Sceanery Path in Area 115. Click OK to Continue.” The start screen is frozen until you click the little box in the tasks bar at bottom of screen.Then the message pops up , click OK and FSX continues to Friday Harbour. How do I fix this error, Anybody Trubshaw

Hello, I have tried to merge the posky Airbus A330-300 with Feelthere's A330. I have done everything as per a short tutorial (which I found on here), however, when I load the sim, all I see is an invisible exterior model and I can't access the VC. All that works is the 2D panel. Apparently I need the correct POSKY model, but I can't find the correct model?

I recently installed FSX-SE. I got many things to work. However, when I tried to uninstall FSWC I got an "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application" error, Could not find a part of the path. I tried to change the fsx_se.cfg to fsx.cfg and uninstall but still get the same error. How can I resolve this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I would insert a screen shot, but there is no place to add an attachment.

Hi all not sure if this is the right forum however i have just installed the A"A cessna and i load into the sim and all panels dials ect are completley see through. Any help would be greatly appreciated

HelloHow do i land at princiess juliana airport in crj700? When i am lined up the copilot says to cut throttle. Thats when i disengage the autopilot and start gliding to the runeay with a speed of 130 knots and 3000 ft altitude. I then usually land before the runway or the side. I am using a keyboard and when i approach for landing the copilot says to set flaps at 45 degrees and when i set flaps to 45 degrees an alarm like sounds. ThanksJ

Okay so i want some ground vehicles for FSX Steam Edition that are free of cost. I have tried GSX but my computer does not meet the requirements for GSX to work on my computer. I want realistic services including ground workers, passengers, fuel trucks, push back truck, jetways, passenger stairs, etc. Can anyone help? And if possible, could you tell me how to use it? Hello all, I was wondering if anybody has any good payware aircraft, preferably larger commercials airliners, that can perform well on lower end pc’s. I have the aerosoft airbus but I don’t get good fps with it as my pc is not that good. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Thanks!

Hi, Is there a way that I can adjust the rudder sensetivity in FSX-SE? For axis adjustments there is only "Aileron Axis", "Elevator Axis" and "Throttle Axis" in the controls setting menu. If I deflect my rudder (Saitek X52) a minute amount, the rudder deflects fully left or right. Makes taxing very difficult. Thanks for help
