See this pic, looks like a mess. I know what some of the info means but is there a site or legend anywhere that explains what all this mess means or represents? I looked around but didn't see any info on the site. Edit: This goes for all the other type of maps on Skyvector too. Would be nice to know what they all mean.

But I'm slightly worried about it's proximity to a nicely upgraded Calgary... has anyone tried this out yet? Any word on framerates? I do wish that Orbx had a Flight1 style return policy. This would be an automatic purchase if they did, instead of a 'wait and see'. Omg... disregard. I didn't notice the 'Soon' thing on the screen, until i went to see it's cost and couldn't find a Buy link. :blush:

I find myself playing less and less video games, but playing flight sim off and on for years at a time. Something about the joys of flying in the sim make me not appreciate other games and get bored with them easily. Anyone else suffer from this problem? I have a dozen games I've been meaning to play on the playstation and pc over the past 1-2 years but find myself always flying somewhere instead!

Hello! I was wondering if anybody is able to merge the A330 with the aerosoft airbus X extended edition without any problems? Ive tried but failed as the flight deck was in the wrong location so I was at the side of the wings and there were problems with systems Thanks! Jacob

I'm doing a KPHX > KLAX run last night withe PMDG737 testing out FS2Crew which is quite a kick, BTW. AS2012 says winds are 240@11 in LA so I set up a landing on 25R, all is well. I'm looking out the window after landing and taxiing to parking spot B68 and here come several aircraft landing on 07L and R. Is this normal? #####?? Thanks, Mark

hi friends, im just wondering what a vor is. when i fly the ngx i always fel like i have not put some data in the fmc. and one thing is the vor freqency, i don't even know what a vor is and how to find the right frequency?. could somebody please explain to me? many thanks.

I'm considering purchasing the great looking LHC Robin DR400, but I can't find any information on whether it's possible to integrate the RXP GNS-430. Does anyone know?

When looking at Dem4km.bgl with Tmfviewer it says it is LOD3. But when you choose Lodgrid 3 you get squares of something like 500km. You have to descend to lod grid 11 or more to get 4km squares. What is the problem? Thank you

I am having a problem with ENB series adjusting the brightness levels up and down without my input or control and have no idea why its doing this. New PC (self built) with new, clean and updated Windows 7 x64, FSX fresh install with a few tweaks (only the minimum advised by Nick N) and a few of add-ons. (737NGX, UTX, Reel feel) All is working perfectly expect ENB Series. After a few seconds of starting up with ENB active the light level will suddenly drop from normal FSX state (ie as I would expect without ENB active) to what I would expect from ENB being active. Then a few seconds later drop really low to almost pich black then a few a seconds later will go really brig…

So I recently built a new computer to help FSX move along a little faster in the FPS section, and really it doesn't seem like it's helped at all. I went from an AMD Athlon II x3 at 3.1 GHz, 8GB of ram at 1333MHz, and a Radeon HD5450, with on hard drive to an AMD FX8350 8 core processor at 4.3 GHz, 16GB RAM at 2133MHz clock, and Radeon HD7850, with FSX on it's own drive. I really don't know what to do to increase my frames. I tried FSX Booster from FSPS with minimal help. The snapshots show my current settings. I'm seriously getting no more than 10FPS on the ground with any of my add on planes can anyone provide me some insight as to whats going on here

Not sure how much Airport Enhancement Services would add to Alaska Air Hauler type bush flying. I'm guessing not much, especially since I prefer to fly amphibian type planes. AES is 95% geared towards airliners and big airports, correct?

I was reading through the AVSIM FSX Guide and just had a question... I see that Texture_Max_Load can be set to values such as 2048 or 4096. That part makes sense. However, I also see mention in the guide of "texturemaxload" (No underscores separating the words). If you look at the current guide and do a search for "texturemaxload" you'll see what I'm referring to. Is this the same variable as Texture_Max_Load or is this a different variable? If its a different variable...what does it do? I can make assignments for buttons and keys for my aircraft in fsx, but the next time I launch fsx, the programming is gone from those buttons and keys. What am I missing? And, where do those assignments get stored in fsx? Is there a file that users can access and enter the values manually so that they will remain there? I have been unable to find them in any of the configuration files. Can someone please give me a hand with this? It's extremely frustrating to have to re-enter my custom settings every time I launch fsx. I'm not sure that was happening before I installed Acceleration. Has anyone else had that issue? Thanks. Hi All, I'm using MegaScenery South Carolina and when I fly over a body of water like Lake Wateree I am noticing a layering effect on the water. It's like there are concentric rings layered on the water in varying colors and they follow the shoreline. I am using a couple of GTX 580's and I have their settings on "default" in the Nvidia Control panel. Take a look. Any ideas? Thanks!

Anyone know of a decent long range (4,500 NM) business jet? I have the IFly BBJ, but was looking for something smaller like a Falcon 900 or Gulfstream (I know there are no Gulfstreams for FS). Any ideas? Thanks, John

I cannot seem to get my OpusFSX to load the conditions at my destination airport before FS ATC gives me vectors to land. The FS ATC just assignes me a runway based on the weather that I had on the surface at my departing airport. I have set my destination in the weather download section and made my forced recovery altitude to 25,000ft. Is there anything else I can do or is this just an FSX limitation?

There is a debate going on in the Avsim PMDG forum regarding weather radar, it seems from what I have read it is possible using GRIB data. But PMDG stand firm on their statement that they will not implement any type of WXR in their sims. Would it be possible to make a third party gauge that does this? I would buy it!
