In the FSX "Flour Power" mission, whenever I drop a flour bomb, I get a "Mission Failed" message, saying that there was a crash (an object collision).This happens regardless of my angle of flying.I have the following installed:- Acceleration- FSGenesis mesh and landclass- UTX- GEXThe only time I'm able to drop a bomb w/o a crash is if I pause, then hit shift-D, then unpause. This is tedious, and doesn't always work.This mission won't let me change the realism settings to disable crash detection.The strange thing is the "Midwest Fly-in" also has flour bombs, but those don't cause collisions.Has anyone else had collisions w/ flour bombs?Any idea how to get them to work in …

Hi Guys, See hypothetically if I were to reformat my SSD and re-install Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit fresh install and FSX w/ addons and tweak but don't downlock my overclocked i5 2500k so it's still overclocked to 4.7 whilst installing/ tweaking/ flying. If I were to still have a stutter once re-installed and no difference no matter what setting I play with either tweak wise in FSX.cfg or tweaked Win7 as by the online guides. Would installing and tweaking with the system overclocked cause this stutter that won't go away? If so how would you recommend going about things. Thanks!

How can I upload Flight plans to Google Earth. I currentl have Flight Sim Commander, and it has the option of saving flight plans to Google. How will I be able to open them in google and where are they saved? Thanks

Hey folks, - i remember years ago i ad this problem, where i would only get to use 2 views when i press the "s" - outside locked spot view, and the virtual cockpit view - and now its just started happening again. If i go to 2D cockpit and try cycle views, i get the outside locked spot and the 2D cockpit, but there are no panles, - just a "full screen" of whats in front. I did get to cycle 4/5 views - cockpit, outside spot, nearest tower, and an aircraft view that had been selected(ie behind left engine etc). I have not pre programmed any auto views(i believe you can do that with pmdg? ) Regards Paul

Hi! I already tried to install the QW 757 a while ago, but since I ran in some trouble afterwards, I uninstalled directly again. Now, as my system is set up completely, all scenery addons are installed and everything is running very stable, I gave it another go, yesterday. Install went flawlessly, then I rebooted Win7 and thereafter, I wanted to fire up FSX. But immediately after double clicking the FSX icon, the program crashed. (user32.dll) I checked my dll.xml and noticed that the QW installer added FSUIPC again, so I had two entries. After deleting the second entry in the dll.xml, FSX booted up and as soon as the GUI was shown, FSX crashed to Desktop, this time…

Hello All! I have recently been having a problem. I set my traffic sliders in UT2 to 0%, and then soon after UT2 stopped working (no AI aircraft, not starting). I set my FSX traffic sliders to 100%, and uninstalled UT2, before downloading/installing GAIT v2.06. However, even though it says in the FSX options menu and in the FSX.CFG that I have 100% AI, I have no commercial AI, solely FSX default GA. Can anyone give me some help? Thank you! -abasa12

Can I use the acceleration disk on FS2004?

I had a problem trying to add some freeware Posted below ( problem downloading ). I un-installed FSX so I could start clean. Then I used c-cleaner to make sure. My problom now is that FSX won't install. I get a pop up that says ; 1628: Failed to complete installation. Maybe the cleaner has something to do with it , I don't know. The drivers seem to be okay. I updated everything. Please help. Thanks

Hi, I've noticed lately that getting even a little far from any of my planes in exterior views results in the paint scheme becoming extremely blocky. Even in the default spot view (no zoomed in or out), the exteriors look terrible. Is there some way to increase the draw distance for my plane so I can see it better in exterior views?

I have seen many discussions about the poor ILS alignment on some runways in FSX. From what I understand the magnetic headings change over time. And that MS just got some runway alignments just plain wrong ... or maybe they used data from elsewhere that was wrong. But what I don't understand is how to fix these problems so that ILS alignment is correct on most if not all runways. One example I've been trying to fix is MKJP Norman Manley at Kingston Jamaica. In FSX runway 12 sits phyically at 119 degrees ... confirmed by sitting the aircraft aligned on the runway and looking at the heading. Yet the FSX ILS data seems to say that it is at 122 degrees and a few feet furt…

Hi I would like to ask for some scenery recommendation. So far i do not have/use any payware airport scenery. I would like to buy one and have it as 'home' for my PMDG777. Recently i have tried Fly Tampa demo. Scenery was very nice but also very heavy for my computer, even with Cessna my FPS dropped to value of 12. To be short, i look for scenery of big airport with active docking system but still FPS friendly. Any advise ? BR/Artur

Hey, sorry in advance if this post is in the wrong section. Anways, I have FSDT O'Hare 2.0. The problem is the AFCAD with AI. Some AI planes takeoff on the wrong runways in terms of wind direction. Ex. 220 @ 9kts and the ATC would scatter the planes on runways 4L/R, 10, 9L, 9R for T/O and Landing. But some planes are guided to the right runway like 28, 22L/R, 14L/R etc. This problem will eventually lead to some planes landing and taking off head on. I want to tell FSDT this but they will only deny it and tell me its a conflicting AFCAD (I checked and no other AFCAD is there) In addition, planes would sometimes land on imaginary runways. I frequently fly the DC3 and the Basler turbo DC3. The gear, or undercarriage, was designed by British aircraft designer Neville Shute Norway (who also wrote novels as Neville Shute). The reason for the wheels being still half visible when retracted was to allow for a safe belly landing if the gear was damaged. The MSFS model does not allow this, any attempt to belly land results in a crash, and if crash detection is off, one simply bounces back up. Is there any way to modify the aircraft.cfg to allow this feature?

I have Windows8 ,Firefox I downloaded FSX Gold -Accelerator . Later I decided to download a freeware (c- 17 ). I found the C-17 in a folder, but couldn't find FSX in a folder, instead I found FSX in "my Documents" in three places and it look's like this: My Documents/C:\Users\Jetsmell Sim Objects (185) C:\Users\Jetsmell\App Data\Roaming \ Microsoft FSX FSX ( 8 ) C:\Users\Jetsmell\App Data\Roaming \ Microsoft In each of the three areas it had a number of folders, like scenery, water, different vehicles, some airplanes etc. No one folder that said FSX. Hi, Testing which settings in my fsx.cfg would best work on my new pc, I made several identical flights and very closely watched performance. Apart from different fps's depending on bufferpools and reject-tresholds etc I noticed that the program stuttered each time at the same geographical locations. After a while, I could just predict the stutters, sometimes more in a row. Obviously not related to my fsx.cfg settings. But what is the origin of these stutters? I did not seem to be able to smooth them, no matter the settings. What causes these particular stutters? Always appearing at the same places. Anyone has a clue? Menno

I downloaded texture fixes by Andrew McGowin for the default Maule Orion. The exterior looks great, but the interior surfaces, such as the windshield uprights and the lower cockpit by the pedals have some strange textures superimposed on them that look like magnified panel instruments and switches (see attachment). I tried copying the default file "Maule...interior_T.dds back into the texture folders but this did not change the interior textures. Has anyone else seen this, and does anyone know how to fix it? Hi guys just wondering if anyone can help. I'm no stranger to flight sims and can usually land and take off using any plane on any sim. My issue is that I'm a total FSX noob with a kick &@($* PC however, with all the power I have, FSX still looks like crap. Everything is choppy and looks like I'm running it on and ancient system. I'm a huge BF3 gamer and I usually get well over 60FPS on high settings in multiplayer. Can someone please referr me to a site that will help me get the most out of FSX GOLD running on an SLI solution? Hello, Last night I stumbled upon a file (over, at the other site) called aon_3_3.zip. Inside are a bunch of reworked airports in Norway. Installation is a no brainer for those who understand English. However, inside the readme file the author reffers to another file that is supposed to be needed to have his file work properly. That other file is called NSX_II.zip and can be found on a Norwegian site. (link is present in the readme of aon_3_3.zip). And there I am stuck.
