I was about to render a video with FSR when I noticed the flaps aren't moving at all during the playback. I checked all the tickboxes before recording the replay, however, neither the flaps nor the flap lever seem to be working. I had a look at the data window, and the flap setting value there does change as the plane nears the airport. It appears that the flap positions (and probably the flap lever position as well, although that can't be seen in the data window) have been recorded but FSR somehow fails to get the information through to the plane at playback. Hi, How can I adjust the zoom in the main view? In FS9 it was done via the Views menu. How is it done with FSX? I want to zoom down to 75% Thanks Rob

I have a number of downloads that need to be installed for my FSX. The installer couldn't finish. A pop up saying the cab 14 download was either corrupt or damaged. I have windows 8. I got this through PC Aviater using an instant download.

Not sure if this has been posted before, I am sure it has, but a search brought up a ton of results and I did not see anything. I was found this information from Boeing on Cost Index (CI) and how it is used within the FMC. I was wondering if anyone has tried this a/c which is sold by Just Flight and produced y Bear Studios... It got released a few days ago. However, I was wondering how is it on systems and graphics. What's your over all experience? Hi all , I started fsx yesterday & the saitek control was playing up, after lots of re setting defaults etc , I finally re installed the drivers , then when in fsx using the hat switch to move my eyepoint the screen went into slide show mode , using face track noir its fine , so un installed the joystick driver , re installed no different , did acceleration repair then fsx wouldn't go past the first launch screen , deleted fsx cfg go through adding trusted fails to start , delete cfg say no to all add ons , fails to start , went back to last registry back up , no different , went back to last Windows back up , no different , did a full repair , no different , moved l…

Hello So my FSX is taking up to about 3 Minutes to Load and this is crazy So i have been reading here and there , and found that if i Put this under Main DisablePreload=1 It will help ( but that didnt do any thing ) or it could be that i have put it in the wrong place the other thing is i found alot of people talking about how wonderful it is to do the PoolSize tweak so i said let me try it out ( but i dont have any thing that says Pool In My CFG ) any help here please thank you Note is there any up-to date CFG tweaks that any one has used ( trusted )

FSX with DX9 doesn't work properly. Every aircraft has the same problem. I only have these graphics problems with DX9. G'guys i'm having an issue with opus which is affecting my VNAV. I've done about three flights now (With opus) and every time so far on descent my VNAV gets knocked out about 2-3 times when the weather updates. I'm using GRIB data with sim friendly wind targets and the wind stabilisation, I also have the weather to update every 5 minutes or 50km. This is the only problem i'm having with this great product and to fix this would make it perfect, thanks, Mitch.

ATM I'm spoilt with the PMDG 737 and 747. I'm looking for a medium range bird while I wait for the PMDG 777. The QW 757 looks nice with the retrofitted glass panels. The CS 757 or 767 also look nice. Which one should I go for? I like an excellent VC, comprehensive FMC and little touches like pop-out glass panels and FMC when you click on them. I'm also going to miss FS2Crews help which is a shame :(

Hi. I am just wondering whether anyone has FS9 installed in Windows XP 64-bit these days? I have been running both FS9 and FSX in Windows 7 64-bit for some years now, but am thinking of trying to install XP 64-bit (I have an installation disc) as a dual boot onto my Win7 x64 PC (which I use almost exclusively for FS), mostly - in fact, entirely - because I miss the wonderful AI sounds from FSHotSFX, which cannot be installed into Windows 7. I haven't searched myself yet (I have no internet connection where I am currently living), but are XP x64 drivers available for 'the usual' hardware - for Saitek X52, Nostromo N52, TrackIR .. ? I read an article in the New York Times that Boeing is going ahead with plans for 2 new 777's to be delivered by 2019 and 2021. The 2019 delivery will be a 400+ seater 777 with new engines and more composites and a slightly different wing, and the 2021 delivery a 350 seater 777 with new engine and more composites.<br />Should be interesting, they are going to the board early next month for approval and Emirates has expressed great interest already. hello ppl, finally after some hours of flying, now i can master the default 737. so, it is becoming a little bit "boring", and i was thinking moving to some of the 737 pay addons. i've found 3 main producer: 1 wilco pilot in command 737 2 ifly 737 ng 3 pmdg 737 wilco is no good couse is not dx10 capable and i do not want to go back dx9 (i've spent months tweaking and modding dx shaders and now is quite perfect on my pc) so, ifly or pmdg? i do not want an extremely realistic and complex challenge. i just want to have a little bit more fun. from what i've heard pmdg is extremely hard and complex to manage (and fps killer too). is the ifly a little …

In the future I plan to fly a mixture of PMDG 737, 747, 777s. Looking at the GF-MCP Advanced Autopilot Module it looks quite generic but missing the extra CMD and LOC buttons. Any other choices available around that price?

Just to note that I've installed FaceTrackNoIR ( http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/home/default.htm ) and so far, it works fine with Live Camera. Haven't yet explored the full parameter space, but it does seem to be a possible replacement for TrackIR, especially if you haven't purchased TrackIR but do have a web cam. The software is free (you can donate, of course). Richard

I was just on FT's website checking to see if they've finished Toronto. Anyways, I started looking at the other airports and noticed that their screen shots look very realistic. Anybody know if the pics are altered/enhanced? Is it ENB? I'd love to have my FSX look like that.

Hello All! Does anyone know if MCP has any intents on creating a CS 777 (and beyond)? If not, I tihnk it would be a good idea. Possibly for the 200 (as McPhat seems to stick with one model) only, it would continue their series so far. As far as I know David Sweetman has made some textures already, but a full WA has not been started. It seems that with the trouble between McPhat and PMDG (as of yet) it might be a bit impractical now to create a PMDG 777 WA series, and therefore it would make logistical sense to create the 777 series. Hi, It's been quite a while since I posted. Slowly but surely I'm getting back into flight simulation largely because I have recently installed VFRGenX Scotland Vols 4,5,6 and 8 + Scotflight Photo 2.4 + Treescapes Vols 6 and 8 + the freebie Treescapes coverage of Vols 4 and 5 of VFRGenX Scotland. Hello all, An off-the-wall question perhaps. Recently, I've noticed an annoying behavior on some freeware aircraft and autopilots (POSKY 747-100/200, RFP 747-200 and CRJ-200, for instance). Capturing altitudes above 15,000-20,000 feet results in some odd, sharp oscillations momentarily when acquiring an altitude. For instance, in a climb at about 1500-1800 FPM, at 300 feet below my target altitude, the aircraft will start to pitch down reduce climb but overreact then sharply pitch back up and hold 500 FPM. At 100 feet below my target altitude, the autopilot will sharply pitch up a few degrees then immediately back down to level and finish leveling off. Lower alti…
