I am aware of its use in FSX.CFG. I read some threads that simmers could actually resume their flights after it popped up, in my case, G3D.DLL error. SO, will it work for FS9. I posted this G3D.DLL specific thread on FS2004 forum. So, Im sorry if this seems to be the wrong place. Cheers

I'm running MSEv2 and there are a few airports that look "duplicated", with the duplicate skewed from its twin by about a quarter mile. I'm still new to this, but I think what I'm seeing is default FSX or custom FSX airports "showing through" the photoscenery. I'm guessing its either because I have UTX installed or its because one of my AddOns installed some addon airports in my "Add On Scenery" folder which I have at the top of my scenery library. So how do I fix this? How do you know which of the "twins" is the correct airport? The AddOn airports I mentioned above also have custom buildings and stuff so I don't know if I can like "scoot" the entire airport so…

Hi I started to use ENB series today, and i noticed that when i go to menus, change weather, time etc all that stuff i get a CTD, and also when i do alt+enter I am making fsx videos so i am always changing stuff in the menu, changing window size etc ... and it's quiet annoying because all of this are causing CTD with ENB series. Been wondering why CS777 never worked for me. CS forum has bits and pieces of folks saying space character added to key code during cut paste is what caused the issue. In my case I noticed this eventually, all cut paste of keycode to CS install always includes space character which you don't notice easily, this fixed all my activation issues for CS stuff. But BUT BUT. The real issue is, how hard is it for CS to use software that checks for blank spaces at end of keycode, instead they prosing all kinds of registry tricks etc without actuallyy solving the cause of the problem. Lately some developers have been using a 'new way' to develop their addons. They release a payware beta version of their software and then we all get to beta test it. At first I have to say I liked it. The nice thing is that you stay in close contact with the devs and you can tell them what you would like to see and they actually implement a lot of those things, quite often very quickly too. Great. However, lately I am getting fed up with all the new versions that give you new or changed options and that require you to figure out things over and over again. Hi all, I think i need an expert, to help me out with my very annoying issue. During the last few days, i've had a problem while flying. It has happened while flying the Digital Aviation Fokker 70/100 and the Airbus X Extended. During my flight, i have experienced a big lack, and then suddenly my aircraft starts to fly up and down, and then i can't gain the control of the aircraft, and i have to shut down FSX. Can anyone help please. I am having problems with my keyboard and yoke assignments (FSX Windows 7 64 bit, Saitek Yoke+TQ + RP). While the standard keyboard assignments work ok i.e. F6, F7 for Flaps etc etc, I cannot successfully program any new assignments, both on the keyboard or Saitek yoke buttons. The biggest problem this is causing is using VoxATC, where to Transmit, I have to use the space bar, which also appears to have to also have other functions, so it means I have to repeat my voice transmissions to ATC several times before I get a response due to the interference. Using Settings>Controls>Buttons/Keys I have assigned Caps Lock on the keyboard to …

Like many people, I have oodles of add-ons in FS9, which means moving to FSX involves a substantial financial "investment" well beyond just the cost of the sim itself. I have encountered a characteristic in FSX that is making me stop short and I was wondering what others might have to say about it. When I fly the default 172 in FS9, it behaves fairly well. When I rotate, it's smooth and the airplane lifts off the runway nice and easy. Typical for just about any aircraft in FS9. When I fly the default 172 in FSX, the story is quite different. I have a problem that has being annoying me for a while, the edges of water in flight simulator 10 do not fit in with the rest of the scenery mainly because the small area of land around the water is a different colour, the only scenery addons i have are GEX and REX. please help. I also have blurry scenery at a distance and the other forums do not answer this, i have tried my best and i was really looking for SPECIFIC advice so i have included a screenshot over Manchester UK.

Hello everybody! Today i gonna show you my Beta-Phase progress, against these shimmer/flickering trees. And a better upscaling 4x4 AA. This great results only can score whit Boris Vorontsov tool named ENB. It makes some brilliant callouts for implements. All right's belongs to him. I have nearly eliminating jagged and pixelated edge full. Also the shimmer/flickering in all Seasons have significant reduced/eliminated. I prepared some picture and recorded the entry whit fraps. Can anyone help please. I am starting an install on a brand new PC. C drive is SSD and D drive is 2Tb standard drive. Decided to istall all FSX stuff on D drive, so created a folder on the D drive called FSX and Installed FSX into it. FSX Runs fine. Next I installed UTerrainX Europe, it auto found my D:FSX folder, installed itself ok it seemed - Lots of green ticks when I open Ultimate Terrain Setup Tool against 'Validating Installation', Validating Layers and Validating Textures, then says Ultimate terrain is Currently Active. . I am not a very good search guy yet, and I am limited on flight time so sorry I did not search for this. Is there a way to have your aircraft be TRUELY cold and dark on startup. Specifically, when I jump in my plane after booting up, my engines are winding down. Is there some sort of special save, or aircraft.cfg line to edit or something so that the aircraft is not winding down when I jump in? Flame on fellas for asking a simple question but I have been RW flying for quite a while, (845 hours in the last 12 months!! B) ), so I am rusty on things FSX. Hello all :)I finally went out and got PMDGs NG 737 and it looks awesome! I havent got off the ground yet though, still got a lot to figure out!But something jumped at me when I loaded up a plane - what on *earth* is that racket in the cockpit!? Sounds like an old industrial generator rattling away. The sound vanishes when I change the views in the cockpit to look left, right etc. (then I get the normal flightdeck hum) - but when I switch back to forward view the sound reappears screeching & rattling away.Its not an alarm or anything, throttles are idle, flaps up, Im just sitting in front of the gate with engines running.Cant find anything on the PMDG site about this…

Right, so on the back on the euphoria of discovering how great carrier flying is with Dino's amazing jets, last night I came across an issue I don't recall seeing before: I wanted to expand my naval experience to include some of the NAS bases, so to begin with I downloaded NAS Fallon (freeware), installed it, and took a test flight. Everything looked great, until I did a flyby of the airport... the runway and the apron were flickering like crazy! I only post this here because it happened whenever OpusFSX kicked in on a late night try at tinkering around with my FSX settings. I thought I'd tick DX10 and see what happens. My machine is fairly robust. Quad core, 8GB ram, Nvidea GT 610 with 2Gigs of ram.... and of course OpusFSX, which is just a great program. When I fired up the sim, everything was fine. Taxiied out, took off, then fired up OPusFSX. It was raining pretty hard, and this was the result... Looked as though I made the jump to lightspeed. Any idea if OpusFSX and Dx10 are somehow related? I used to be able to hop on my PMDG 737, go from Cold & Dark, and take a 2-3hr flight, park & power down the aircraft. (I used to be able to do 5-6hr flights!) But now I can't, I just get very bored when I'm up in the air, I can barely do an hour flight anymore without getting painfully bored. Its not that I don't have time to do them, I just get very bored and have a hard time to get myself to take 2-3hr flights anymore. Right now, I'm mostly doing small regional flights with my Carenado C208 Caravan, or just exploring with my A2A cub, RealAir duke, or some other GA or Regional get aircraft. Hi guys! Just noticed a file in the root of my FSX partition called fao.dat containing only a string of combined characters and have never seen it before. Maybe it's not even relateed to FS but considering it's on my FSX partition where I only keep FSX and related addons it's tempting to think so. Anyone knows what this file is?

Hi, Recently had some problems with FSX and just dealt with the problem till recently I did a complete reinstall and the problem still occurs and is now driving me insane. I apologise in advance if this has already come up but I can not find a solution anywhere. When playing fsx after a short time the windows 7 loading icon (the blue spinning donut shaped icon that appears next to the mouse cursor) keeps flickering, sometimes flashing 10 - 15 times a second and nothing I do in the sim will remove it, this making it very distracting when trying to press switches Thanks in advance Kane
