Recently I realize I got no in flight traffic when I am flying. So today I fly my plane to follow an AI. At around 8000ft, the airplane just disappeared in front of me. I also used FS commander to track the AI, and indeed they all disappear above 8000ft. I am using a combination of UT2 and BGL style file. They both have the same problem. I was wondering if people that say they have 30 fps solid if that number fluctuates or just shows 30 when hitting shift-z. Mine goes from 30 down to 25 and all over the place actually. Just wonder if someone has their system set so their fps counter just shows 30. Thank You Anthony

After a very long time away I have reinstalled the Fly Tampa Kai Tak and I have to say what a WONDERFULL scenery it still is. I never had much success flying the heavies into RWY13 and maybe that is why I stopped going there, but now using the ReaAir Lancair Legacy and flying the Checkerboard approach I am having great success. I have landed every time so far out of may be 25 times with 3 or 4 being rather wonky landings and in all sorts of weather. Lots of fun indeed. The Realair Legacy is a marvellous little aircraft and gives the chance to get the true feel of the Checkerboard approach, something I did not do before as it had to be in a 747 or nothing and so I gave up …

Does someone know some examples for navigation. I am looking for Vor navigation in north america or alaska or canada. In the past I found some nice routes with the DC3 maam club but cannot find it anymore. May be there are other routes who are nice to fly. I bought recently the waco 5 and would like to fly with this one in nice routes. Any idea is welcome.

Not sure how much support this will get but..... Me and a friend an couple months back had the idea to start developing photoreal scenery in order to raise some money to buy the upcoming PMDG 777. Which we would not be able to afford otherwise. So we got started and about 3/4 of the way through the project we started speaking a representative from Google (we got our photo images from Google Earth) and we found out that if we intended to resell the photoreal scenery, it would cost us near $400 for every couple square miles. Although it seems to be a pretty straight forward thing to do, I simply cannot make the shortcut keys work within FSX... ctrl+] is my choice, a combination not used by FSX or any other simultaneously running application, but OPS refuses to open the weather report menu which I then access through the menu. Any suggestions/ideas please?

When I go to the Settings> Scenry Library I see boxes checked. In my case it's FSX and Orbx . Do I leave them all checked or just check the boxes that pertain to my next flight. Also, it gives an option to add, what's that about and how is that done?

I am not really sure how this happened but for some reason there's black smoke effects and contrails and they show up black with squares as if my engine was on fire or something. Is this something wrong with my graphics card. I haven't changed my settings but this started happening. Thanks for the help.

Guys, I have a long list of dlls in DLL.XML files due to all my installed addons. 1. Is it a good practice to disable those I'm not using? Can it actually help the performance? 2. Do I really need these ones enabled if I fly to/from Aerosoft and FSDT airports: - Addon Manager bglmanx.dll - VistamMare ViMaCore.dll - this one is particularly annoying as it offers some updates and keystrokes I don't need. I understand it is from FSDT, but do I have to enable it in a FSDT airport? 3. Aerosoft\Flight Recorder AS-FlightRecorder.dll There are also other dlls of the aircrafts I'm not flying, do I need to disable them one by one if not flying a particular aircraf…

I have three problems that I cannot seem to solve: When going into SLEW mode, it defaults to Mach3, usually in the forward direction. If I hit 'Y', I can't get to the 5 key fast enough. How can I fix it so that when I enter slew mode, it turns on with the aircraft sitting still? I figure it might be in the fsx.cfg file. When I load the Cessna 172 (it might also be with other aircraft, but I haven't tried yet) and click on "Fly Now", the Failure mode is already set to "Complete Failure" with the engine. Only one :smile: ! For me it's A2A. After a long break, I went back to FSX in May and since have spent a fair amount of money on add-ons (see profile). At the end of the day, so far, the only a/c I'm really fully satisfied of, are A2A's. The fully functional VCs are incredibly sharp and readable (good PoV too) even on a 17incher, the simulation/FDE are realistic with Accusim, the documentation is extensive and - a big cherry on the cake ! - they don't unreasonably hit the fluidity and framerate on my laptop. Dont' make me wrong, the others are rather good some way or another. A big frustration was the Legacy though, as I am a big fan of RA. The aircraft mode…

I am in contact with VRS as we speak and I wanting more eyes if possible. I have Tacpack and the VRS bug for FSX. I am able to fire missiles but unable to drop bombs. I use FSUIPC for my controls and for missiles I have inc cowl flaps. For bombs I have dec cowl flaps. Tacpack manager I have my trigger set as my trigger on my Saitek X52 and the pickle as my button 3. When I go into FSX and fly I push button 3 and nothing happens. I also have button 3 set as dec cowl flaps in FSUIPC. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hi there, I'm still running the original version of FSX (with all the applicable service packs). Is there any advantage to getting FSX Deluxe, besides the extra planes (that I won't fly)? Any performance bumps?

I bought OPUS few weeks ago, and finally got the time to test it yesterday. I'm amazed how fast weather is loaded. I'm probably an ex AS2012 user, if these problems will be solved. I first read both pdf files (getting started and live weather), then tested it with VFR flight from EDDM to LOWI. First I noticed that the visibility was far greater than 32km (20mi) that was checked in weather options. The visibility was at least 80-90km, I could see the alps from EDDM taxiway, not cool. Also, I didn't noticed any visibility smoothing, because at 3000-4000 feet was a sudden change of visibility to 160km or unlimited. I forgot to check weather report to check visibility report…

Hi, I already posted this in Hifi's legacy product forum but no answer yet after three days so tought of asking here too, here it goes: "Hello, Looking thru my back up files, I found Xpax and decided to re-install it, when I tried to start the program, it gives me an error, the dialog box title is "Microsoft NET Framework" and it "unhandled exception has occured with you application etc" , with a detail, continue or quit button. The program still does not start even if I press continue, the message comes back until I press quit. I did tried to re-install NET Framework but it says it is already on the system ? Flying at 9000 feet with OAT = 5C. Encountered light rain. After a few minutes the MP started dropping and I could not maintain altitude. Pitot heat was on. I hit 'H' to turn on Alt Air and Prop de-ice, but these did not help. I see no other ice control switches in the cockpit. I tried assigning an additional key combo to "de-ice" in settings but this did not help either. Mixture settings and prop rpm were properly adjusted for level cruise at this altitude. In the Beech Baron, this problem was easily fixed by turning on a set of anti-ice switches in the VC. MP would almost instantaneously return to normal. I got REX on three disks. When I put the disk in my tower to download to FSX, a pop up in the center of the screen. In the past I'll get a small pop up at the upper right corner of the screen. It would ask if I wanted to open in a certain spot or it would give me an option as to how I wanted to open.I can see the files on the screen, but can't pick a place for a new folder( RexEssentialsInstallFiles).I have Windows 8

I love the A2A cub, but Im looking for a little more power(wish they did a supercub with accusim). So I've been looking at the Flight replicas cubs, and my question is how is the Flight replica cubs flight model compared to the A2A cub?

I just upgraded to an i7-3930k processor with an Asus Sabertooth X79 motherboard, 16gb ram, a Samsung SSD, and a GTX Titan video card. Haven't even overclocked the processor yet, but already getting a smooth sim experienced with frames locked at 30. It's been a few years wait but finally FSX can be brought to its knees with the latest (but expensive) hardware!!

When the FSX Sim starts up the plane will begin to roll. It doesn't matter which plane or where it's parked. I use a Saitek X52 yoke with the parking brake at the trigger. I'll sqeeze the trigger and the plane will stop but only for a few seconds. It's a nuisance when I'm doing the key board. I know the letter P will pause it, but that pauses everything. Is this something that everyone experiences or is there an adjustment that can be made?
