Hi all, I know there is a bunch of topic on this argument, and I know that a solution is to disable the crash detection inside fsx... ...But, I experienced this problem only in these past weeks...in years and years of fsx I never had a crash in an invisible object...of course, only on visible object! The first time the problem was presented on KXNA free addon, found here...a really well crafted addon, the first time I was there I don't detected any crah of sort, but the second time I crash in something invisible on the taxiway! So, I remembered that I put my mesh slider to 1m instead of 10m...I set the slider to 10m and the problem was vanished! I was thinking that the p…

Guys, I think I've got a problem... My copy of Acceleration was purchased and DOWNLOADED directly from Microsoft, who it seems, no longer provide that service. It also seems I never backed up the folder called 'XPack', which contains the Acceleration version of the SDK. Anyone know how I might re obtain this, as I don't believe my SP2 SDK will work? Any help much appreciated.

I took off in the CRJ yesterday for a flight from KEVV to KIND. Everything went great, landed and taxied to the gate. Lo and behold, I had flown the entire way with the main door open. Thought it seemed a little breezy in the cockpit. Must have missed that on my preflight. Oh, well. John

Hello, I brought FSX from Game on Thursday and I really like it however for some reason I cannot activate my game. Whenever I put the code in, it says it is invalid when it's clearly not because it's brand new out of the packet. Is the yellow sticker wrong or is the server down because I think it should work perfectly fine? Thank You

I have noticed that all my addon scenery has been messed up. Planes not being where they are suppose to be so someone told me to download airport scanner which looks for duplicate AFCAD files. None were found but I had about 100 or so messages about scenery not found from 113 base, Reno, FSDreamteam, terrain. How do I go about fixing this. I know how to fix FSX.cfg but not sure how to fix the scenery.cfg.

When you right click , you're given an option to view air traffic. Some of those planes are in the air. Are they being flown by real people in the multi sim. or are they all computer generated?

hey guys I use to play FSX a long time ago but went to xplane 10 about a year ago.xplane 10 has a lot of greatneat features but I was recently looking at FSX again and noticed all the great add ons it has. gex Extreme utx orbx and the great pmdg and captainsim aircraft. with my system below and all those add ons with FSX can I expect pretty good frame rates in most areas? I don't plan on flying using any Ai aircraft I plan on flying on vatsim most of the time. What's a day on FSX without some problem? I have FSX and REX and no matter which setting I pick , there's rain on a clear day. Still fulling around with settings, but if someone has an idea, it would be appreciated.

I was en route today from Las Vegas to the seaplane base at Vancouver...and heard a general aircraft A.I. seek clearance for U70 (Cascades, Idaho). After landing at the seaplane base, I was curious about seeing U70, so shot myself over there into a G.A. parking space. I can see why this A. I. (lol!) wanted to go there. Crank up all your settings and see just how beautiful the surroundings of this airport is. Mountains galore. A major river adjacent to the airport which leads into a large lake/valley basin. Folks, For some reason I can't get the EMB mod to work in "full screen". When I switch to window mode - I can press shift F12 and clearly see it working - conversely, when i go into full screen nothing is changing. Could it possibly be a conflict with NVidia Inspector ? Thoughts? Thanks, Tony

I have been an avid MSFP user since V3. In the past decade I have probably spent more time maintaining my aircraft paint files and AI traffic than I have flying, with almost 1,000 airlines flying in my environment. I have successfully used AIFP up through V 1.5 to compile the BGL files - that it until I upgraded my system from 32-bit to the 64-bit version of Win7. I got errors with the new BGL traffic files, and can't even reopen the BGL files from AIFP. It looks like the solution is to upgrade to the latest Version 2.2 of AIFP. Hi all, I am downloading FSX but it's being very slow. i started at 9am and its only on 67%. My internet connection is 17MBPS. Will have to go to Game and buy it for £44 :mad: if anyone is in the south London area and has a disk i can borrow please could you help as i am getting desperate.

I downloaded the latest version of Airports of Norway, which now also has ENBR! Yes! However, the readme says: "A separate 20cm photoscenery can be downloaded for Oslo Gardermoen ENGM, Kristiansand Kjevik ENCN, Tromsø Langnes ENTC. Read on, and you'll see the links. The photosceneries are mandatory. The ENBR photoscenery is special, as it is given us for free. ENTC even more, as the guys at Flightsim.no donated money for the aerial pic." I am looking for a program that will autoimatically read and renumber the scenery.cfg file, akin to the Scenery Align that was available for FS9 but which sadly no longer works under Win7 due to .net framework 1.1 incompatibility. So far I have tried the freeware FSTweaks Scenery Config Toolbox, but this will only recognise scenery entries within the FSX folder. Any suggestions or feedback much appreciated.

Hi guys, I've been over to the REX forum, where Tim was very helpful, but I am still at a loss as to how to try to eradicate this water texture issue. The strange thing is, it's not constant across the globe and only appears in some areas. Does anyone else experience this? It appears that it's an FSX problem and if so, is there anything I can to to eradciate it? Cheers...

When I do a touch and go, ATC thinks I want to keep doing the touch and go at the same airport and keeps clearing me for another one. I can't get ATC to let me go to another airport. I know there add-on ATC programs better than the FSX one, but has anyone found a way to get the FSX ATC out of the touch-and-go loop?

I'm testing a second pc with an outside view - but the weather isn't synced - actually nothing is sent to the client about weather? It says "live view"-weather networked in both client and server of opusfsx any clue?

In my FSX folder after the last of the sub folders I have hundreds of these files they are Bip map image and AGN files Should they be there? I would like to clear them to tidy up if there unnecessary

Hi. I've been away from simming for quite a while and this may end up being a stupid question, but here goes. I have purchased the following scenery packages for FSX: MegaScenery Earth (Arkansas and Missouri), FSGenesis (World Terrain Mesh and U.S. Terrain Mesh),GEX (U.S.A., Canada, Alaska) and Ultimate Terrain X (U.S.A.). Can all of these scenery packages be installed in FSX at the same time and I be able to choose which to use? Thanks, Jeff Smith

I downloaded FSX on My WD" My Book" External Hard Drive. It has 1 TB of space. After it was downloaded, I preceded to download REX. Half way through, I got a pop up stating that the drive was almost full. I don't want to mess with FSX, it's there to stay. Is it possible to delete the portion of REX that is already there, open up the partition to make the drive bigger? Then download REX again? Below is what I have : os©870gb free of 910 GB Recovery ( J ) 4.52 GB free of 31.9 GB > This is the drive FSX is on. Recovery ( D ) 2.41 GB free of 19.3 GB > Partition Recovery ( don't want to mess with that )

Does anyone have a problem with PA A320 v3 moving on taxiway when the throttle is on IDLE? It is quite irritating when you are taxing to the runway, even on idle I must use the brakes, or airplane will accelerate constantly. Is there any way to edit this in aircraft.cfg, or is it hardcoded?

I keep copies of clean and tweeked fsx.CFG in a folder on my desktop. Last night I deleted the fsx.CFG not just the contents but the whole file, that was in C:\Users\{your username here}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\ expecting FSX to make a new one when I loaded FSX. I loaded FSX expecting it to load up with the default start up i.e... the micro light... it didn't it loaded up my normal saved start up of a pmdg 737 at Bristol. So using the C:\Users\{your username here}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\ path I notice there is no new fsx.CFG in the folder. So how did FSX manage to load a saved startup?
