Hello! I'm testing Opus demo these days. I have TrackIR 5 and followed all instructions to setup it with Opus. Renamed the files, etc. I uninstalled EZCA. But movement in VC isn't smooth. With EZCA was very smooth. Why? I need to delete any EZCA entry's in any file?

Hello! First of all I hope I placed this topic in the correct forum! Now to my issue, yesterday when playing FSX I think I by accident clicked a keycombination which changed the "mode" of the camera. Previosly I've been able to hold Blankspace and then move the mouseto move the camera but after yesterdays accident I need to click in the direction to move the camera!?!? This is a very annoying issue and I would really appreciate some help! Regards, Metalkiller78

Have just purchased quality wings 146 I can find no imfo. in the manual regarding flight plans and installing them into the fmc as a cd route. I notice they are rte plans the same as pmdg, is it possible to use them? Will be grateful for any help on the subject fred cann

I have been playing around, tweaking, editing, changing anything and everything to make FSX work top-notch on my machine. And I thought I had finally done it - no CTD, no OOM, no blurries, no whatever! And here I was, flying my MD-80- between KSFB and KABE, just having reached the top of climb and leveled out, when...FSX decided to re-load the scenery, just like when you first choose to Fly Now! All of a sudden FSX decided to load scenery. Nothing else happened, everything kept working, but it did that at least twice more during the flight. I AM running Megascenery Earth V2, Florida, and REX Essentials (which really doesn't load anything but weather) but nothing else.…

hi there, I've got a question.... I want to know how I can make a plane spotting view within FSX (I heared it's possible with FSReccorder) so I can record a flightvideo from the sice of the runways or from a terminal.... But intill now I can't figure out how to do this... can someone tell me how to make such a view?? or perhaps give me a link to a tutorial on how to do this?? thanks in advance! F747fly

Hello all at AVSIM, After receiving FSX some time ago on my new compiter, I have come to realise that my clouds just do not work. I can, however, seem to use Cirrus clouds when using adavanced weather, but any other clouds cause a huge drop in FPS - cirrus clouds don't touch the FPS. I was woindering whether having REX 2.0 would be the solution? I have a Dell Inspiron 580, with an Intel i5760 at 2.80 ghz (not overclocked), 750gb hardrive, 8gb RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 5450. I am sure my graphics drive is the issue, but I ma wondering whether using REX instead of the FSX default weather would improve my FPS. Thanks to all, Maszario57

I tried Sweetfx along with FSX, i think it works great with lots of things to change. You can personalize it for your own taste and that's great. BUT, is there any way to get some Depth Of Field effect. What do i need to do that? Also, i did some research on google with sweetfx, but didn't find the best settings for FSX. I would really like some bloom that works in DX 9 and looks like bloom in DX10. I kinda gave up on DX10 because of flashing lights. I love dusk,night and dawn, so DX9 is better for that. How can I change the default weather from Fair to Clear in the Free Flight setup? I can save a flight with clear weather to load as the default flight. Is that the only way?

I hope I'm in the right forum this time. I am running fsx with all of the service paks on Windows 7 64bit. The program will not respond to keyboard input and most of the buttons on my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro cannot be programmed in the settings section. They look like they are programmed, but will not work when running the simulator. Suggestions? Greg

Hi, I've been experiencing a problem with my Project Airbus A380 VC. The FMC is blank and there are black buttons on the autopilot. I've added "VASFMCGauges" to the end of the title in the Aircraft.cfg. I'm running FSX SP2. Are there any solutions for this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

HI all,I'm playing around with the latest alpha of FS Recorder, which makes very nice rendered videos. But I'm having trouble figuring out how to plant a camera right in the middle of the runway so that I can "watch" landings from that perspective. I know how to make a zoomed tower view, but I can't figure out how to move the perspective from the tower to the runway without just putting random guesses into the latitude/longitude fields. Anyone know?Incidentally, I know some people are disappointed that you can't render videos with sound using FS Recorder. I have been transferring all my scenery off my FSX SSD on to a 3TB disk Im a bit confused about the scenery/world/scenery folder. Since this is not activated in the library is it okay to drag it across to my 3TB disk? will it work there ? thanks for replies cheers

Hello all. I was wondering how reliable is the FSX real time weather. I was about to make a flight from EDDH to LGIR and downloaded the real time weather, the one that updates every 15 mins, and to my surprise i saw the temperature was 45F at Hamburg. Inside the cockpit i called ATIS and the temperature changed to 14 but what, F or C? The real temperature now in Hamburg is the highest 1C and the lowest -8C so how is it possible that real time weather to give me different figures and none of them are realistic at all!

OK, I know it may sound odd, but I have never used the slew feature in FSX, only because I've never found the need to. But now I want to sort out the Ezdok camera vibrations once and for all, and it's difficult not to have a slew function to test with. OK, so maybe I'm doing something wrong... I thought I had to hit the Y key, followed by F1, F2 and so on. But, no matter what keys I hit, apart from the Y key, which pauses the sim, nothing else works. Is there something I'm doing wrong or do I need to do something else? Cheers guys...

hiya there i fly from london heathrow and when i choose real world weather downloads every 15 minutes well the time date setted by my computer says spring season im in. its saying london heathrow 16 degrees its been like -5 really cold it dont seem to change till get flying see clouds change and very strange download real world weather from heathrow everyday always 16 degrees dont understand why. could be because simulator thinks it spring not picking up cold weather weather dont seem to match from real world weather on my simulator . was snowing in london but on simulator is wasnt found very odd i hope you can help me please thank you kinda reguards colin wilso…

I verified weather at three airports, Asheville, NC; Easton, Md; and Bloomington, In. Also flew from Easton to Asheville at 8,000 ft and the winds aloft closely matched the flight plan from my real world flight planning site. I checked all of those airports before my 3 hour flight and again after the and the surface weather was spot on, reflecting changes in winds, temps, and pressure over that period. The FSX weather engine had been static since about March 19.

All summed up, what can you say about this? I believe both have raised the bar to higher standards, I cared to watch a few videos and read a few reviews, and I am not using FSX anymore (moved to P3D), but there is presently a native P3D version of the iFly model costing $79,95: Looking fwd for your comments / suggestions / opinions :-)
