Hi, I have a problem with EZdok in connection with the A2A Spitfire and looking for help. Of course, I already asked in the the A2A Spitfire forum as well as the EZdok support forum but unfortunately nobody replied so far, so I thought I would give it another shot. So, here comes my problem: When I set up different views (PTP) and try them out in windowedmode, the transition is really nice and smooth. But as soon as I un-pause the game and come back to fullscreen mode, the view jumps or stucks a bit each time I change it. I am experiencing these problems in the Spitfire only. Posting here because I am interested to here what is people's thoughts about this matter; I am planning to buy a 27" monitor 2560 x 1440. Now I want the fastest video card for this. The Titan. However this has 6gb memory. Planning to use 8GB or 16GB on w7 64 bit. I am afraid this will end up giving me a lot of OOM's, with fully loaded add ons. I believe it's called VAS. But the memory of the videocard is bigger as what fsx will ever use 4gb? Please keep this in the fsx forum, because I have read that more people have the same problems, and I want to see if it's because of all the addons, or memory or dx9,10 ore I might need to change to Prepar3d. Could someone tell me if having AES as no.1 on the fsx scenery list sounds right? I haven't touched the list for any reason but it's above all UTX, FTX scenery packages and addon airports, just a quick question. Cheers Rod.

I'm having trouble downloading this one. I need some clarification with this download. It comes from UKMIL. After extracting , I found the following files; Model, Panel, Sound, Effects,TextureDH, TextureMac, A file; Aircraft, and about 6 images, plus a readme, that gave little install info. I know that the texture folder is copied and pasted in the FSX texture folder. The same goes for the other folders. My question is what is done with the model folder from the C-130 since the FSX doesn't have a model folder. What is done with the Aircraft cfg file. What is done with the 6 image files. If these questions can be answered, then I will know what to do wi…

Hi everyone, In live in Gatineau, Quebec and in March and April, lakes are still frozen. I had FSX configured to load the current time and date but when setting the season to Summer, FSX continued to display frozen lakes. So I saved a new default flight with Summer selected as the season but FSX continues to display frozen lakes. Any information that would help me resolve this issue would be much appreciated. I am wondering if anyone using FSX has been able to use FaceTrackNoIR 1.4.I am able to use my Logitech C120 webcam and tried connecting to FSX with the SimConnect.ini but with no luck.I use Windows 7 64 bit.For anyone that is interested this is the place to go http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/home/default.htmIt does the same sort of thing that TrackIR does but is FREE.Hope somebody can help but maybe it is not the correct type of Webcam I am using.regardsRichard

Just did a flight tonight on this thing and let me tell ya... It's amazing! I never really got into it before, because I didn't want to go through the hassle of learning how to fly without an FMC and fancy glass displays.. But boy, it was worth the learning! It feels so nice to fly a classic bird from VOR to VOR, managing the throttle by yourself, (the autothrottle is useless.. Even in the real thing I'm told) and just flying the old fashioned way! It definitely makes you pay attention the entire flight! If anybody was having thoughts on buying this aircraft, do it. It's well worth the money. New system with the 670 video card. 3 monitors are plugged directly into the card without the Triple Head 2 Go. What adjustments are necessary in Windows and in Nvidia to have FSX display properly across the 3 screens? Thanks a lot, Howard

So... after returning to FSX and installing old addons and getting new... I found that i have no traffic addon. I have been reading about mytraffic professional, and it looks interesting: http://secure.simmarket.com/mytraffic-x-professional-5.4-b.phtml I do believe though that some of the screenshots were not that pretty! Are you going to watch a bunch of low quality aircrafts, or experience realistic traffic? And what about performance, we all know that AI traffic is a FPS killer. Thanks.

I have been playing FSX for some years now and recently included the additional PMDG 737 NGX. This required downloading SP2 from the Microsoft Website which was problem free and all was working. However, after about half an hour the game froze saying that it had run out of memory. Despite numerous attempts at tweeking this and that the same error always came back to haunt me. So I decided it was about time for a system overhaul so I upgraded motherboard, CPU and RAM. Hi all, I'm tweaking settings in .cfg, Nvidia Inspector and in-game, and I want to run some tests to see which way I should head to improve the experience. I know I can monitor the instantaneous FPS using shift-z but is there a way of having each FPS reading outputted to a text file so I can crunch some numbers after the flight? I've googled a bit and fraps looks likely but does this impose it's own load on the CPU/GPU too? Thanks Paul

Hi all Recently, FSX has started to ''freeze'' for around 10-20 seconds on push back. (Only on push back), It happens if i use Ctrl + P or GSX Push back. After it has frozen it works fine, just pauses which is annoying. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks Adam

I have the "Scenery Config Editor" tool installed and must have pressed the wrong button or ticked the wrong box as now the list view is very strange. It now reads Priority #1 to #608 with the title all starting with #1 "Friendly title prefix: UK2000 Heathrow Xtreme, to #608 "Friendly title prefix: 1-SWED2011_Library". The Enabled box is NOT ticked on all these 608 scenery areas. The enabled scenery areas start at #609 to #762. The scenery.cfg also has 762 areas. Fortunately FSX seems to be unaffected by the above, I would just like to get it as it should be. Dilating the scenery.cfg may be an option but I would appreciate any advice before I screw things up further.

This seems like a very nice freeware addon by Oliver Strauss. Its listed as for FS2004, has anyone tried to get this to work properly in FSX?

hi guys i have 2 separates screen and i undock the fmc on one of these screens. but when i change the camera to the outside and come back to the cockpit need to reundock th FMC again. i need to keep the FMC constant on the separate screen.what i need to do...(some times undock another panals and he same thing occure.)

The specs are: Macbook Pro 15" Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (Parallels Shared Operating System) Intel Core i7-3720QM CPU @ 2.60 GHz 8GB installed memory (RAM) Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB (Parallels Shared Display Adapter WDDM) Now, the problem: The general textures of the sim become very dull. They don't remain sharp and are not really formed properly. This affects the FSX default aircraft only, not any addon as you can see here. Hi, just purchased OpusFSX and I would like to use it with TrackIR5. TrackIR Setup with Opus works just fine, smooth movements, no bumps. However, when it comes to set the TrackIR cockpit limits (for the PMDG 737NGX), I have a problem. The "TrackIR head movement limits" button just not appears in the configure dialog, so I can not setup the limits. I followed the instructions in the Live Camera Interface guide, "Enable live camera control" is ticked, "Enable TrackIR" is ticked. I use the latest version of OpusFSX. Any ideas? Thanks Stefan

Hi I'm looking for a freeware Erj170 for FSX. Is there a good one?

Haven't fired up the sim in 48 hours or so, and now when I press Control and the +key in spot view, the plane moves away. Control plus the -key brings it closer. Just the opposite of the way it's worked for the last 6 or more years. Any ideas what's happened or how to reverse it? Thanks. John

Hi guys, Yesterday, I have been flying around in the PMDG Md-11 in a flight from Jakarta to Sydney. In the middle of the flight I decided to save fs and close fs to have lunch. When I got back, after loading, the FMC becomes weird. As you can see on the photo, the details of waypoint GULUM (301/FL340) is normal. While the rest of the waypoints have strange numbers. Such as waypoint OOD says 26941906 instead off 301/FL340. How can I make the rest of the waypoints display like waypoint GULUM. BTW, the top of cruise (T/C) and top of descent (T/D) waypoints/markers has also disappeared. P.S: Everything was normal before I close FS. It started happening after loading. …

I went to SimAvion to download the c-17, packaged by UKMIL and didn't get any folders after extracting. Not even later with the patch. If there are folders which ones should I be looking for?

Hi. I have Win7 64-bit and FSX on one SSD. I was going to install FS9 on a second SSD. Should I also put a new install of Win 7 64-bit on the same drive as FS9 and basically have a dual-boot system or can I use the same install of Win7 for both FSX and FS9 without messing up FSX?
