Fello Flight Simmers: In FSX, ATC will only recognize a few of the major US airline names (ex: TWA, American). I would like to fly other airlines ex: Virgin, Jet Blue, Pacific Wings. Does anyone know how you can enter names into FSX's codes so ATC will recognize new airline names? Thanks. Great forum!! Regards, Stewart S. Leber

Can someone tell me how you set up a network with the PC and the Apple computer with Parallels? I have no idea how to do it. I have never set up a network before. I would like to network my Macbook (and Parallels and Aivlasoft EFB to be installed) with my FSX PC. Is it possible and/or practical? I know there are some tutorials online about setting up a network of PC’s, but I did not find something specific about a PC connected to an Apple with Parallels. If someone can tell my how to do it, or give me any pointers, that would be great!

Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone had the same problem. I just downloaded the Skyspirit 767-400, and have tried several different files, but the main gear is a third under the pavement. I tried to look and couldn't find any information, but I was wondering if anyone had the same problem, and if anyone had a solution. I am betting it's a contact point problem. Thanks!

Anyone flying the CS 737. I have the 707 and enjoy flying it and have been tempted to pick up the 737 but was looking for feedback from the forum. I see that it has been almost a year with no new update :rolleyes:

All generated FMC-Flightplans are now named as follows: Clearance: Departure ICAO followed by destination ICAO + "CLR". Approach: Departure ICAO followed by destination ICAO + "APP". CYCH Miramichi Airport just has received a new runway extended from 5,900 ft to 10,000 ft and also has gotten a new taxiway. Moreover, CYCH has new approach lights and new four PAPI lights. Can any talented programmer please be kind enough to do simple task extending the runway from 5,900 ft to 10,000 ft in FSX default CYCH Miramichi Airport and put FSX default taxiway as well as FSX default PAPI lights on that airport too, please? Good Afternoon guys, Today, I decided that the default 747 panels doesn't look very realistic. So I decided to spice it up with some panels from some other panels. So I opened up FS Panel Studio and found out that some of the .dll files are empty. Such as the one in the picture, how can I get the gauges from inside them? How can I extract them ? Or how could I put them in the panel of a 747. Thanks guys.

Hello, i am quite confused about the turbulences from OpusFSX. Are they "fake" or are the induced by the weather generated by OpusFSX? What i mean is, besides the head-movement, is the aircraft really experiencing the turbulences? Perhaps to make it clear, i dont own OpusFSX yet, i own ASE and with ASE the aircraft "really" reacts to, for exampale down- or updrafts or cloud turbulences. For me it wouldn't make much sense to buy a new weather-engine which exclusively "shows" the weather but does not create the "causes" like the above stated turbulences. i hope someone can clarify what i can expect from this program concerning the "accuracy" of the turbulences and…

I bought FSX Gold edition and installed: (Windows XP) 1: FSX disk 1 - FSX disk 2. 2: from FSX disk 1 "SDK" 3: Acceleration pack (disk 3) The problem I have is in "3". There is een SDK folder with "SP1a" which I installed. Then I want to install SP2 but that's not on the disk? I want to use ADE (Airport Design Editor) and there in the FSD-SDK path is asked for SP2 which should have generated/installed the file "FSXSDK.chm" but did not do that. Question: I cannot use ADE because he ask for the file FSXSDK.chm which should be generated biy SP2, which is not on the FSX Accelaration disk? Please help. Kenny

Hello All! I recently downloaded Taxi2Gate Toncontin Airport, and I was wondering if they are planning a minor (or in the long term major) update for the future? It looks much better and more updated than the alternative, however some taxiway/runway/road/hillside layout has been changed (specifically I'm referring to the area south of the threshold of runway 02). Also, for the future, it would be nice to see maybe some more custom buildings, HD textures, some more sculpting around the hill, etc... I have over a dozen FSX Imaginesim airports and many for FS 2004. I'm shocked how little value this company places on customers. They never respond to help and have left many sceneries un-completed. I bought KATL from Flight1 and activation has a two step process and KATL has an installation limit even with the Flight1 wrapper. Cool! Several days ago I contacted them and I've heard nothing. Flight1 took the money, but they can't help. I'm done with buying anymore add-ons that require activation. Hi, I purchased the Imagine Sim scenery for VIDP yesterday. The problem I am facing is that there are trees in the middle of one of the runways. To be more precise, in the middle of the main runway, 29-11. Can anybody help me remove these so that i can use the scenery? I would like to mention : 1) I bought a new system and installed FSX on the same day as i installed the imagine sim scenery. So there is no other payware/freeware existing scenery that might overlap. 2) Just to give a background : The default scenery does not contain rwy 29-11 as this is a new runway and was built recently. So I bought FSDT Vancouver and Dallas Fort Worth, and well, both install, and work fine, but I am having problems with the Coatl thingy. It keeps crashing and saying the script engine fails. I have tried everything, everything reccomended by FSDT, like turning off the antivirus, excluding the files, installing the latest version of Addon Manager/couatl, deactivating Lenovo's Power Managment Software, and nothing works! Posted this over on the REX forums, and thought I'd ask for an "outside" opinion up here, too. Very simply - I'm running FSX with 8 Gb of RAM and a EVGA GeForce GTX650/1Gb video card. I had previously been having OOM errors, and decided to set my fsx.cfg file from a TML of 4096 back to 1024 to see what happened. However, my REX settings (and they only offer the adjustment to the cloud settings) were 4096 HD. REX states in their docs to make sure the TML is set to 4096 to take advantage of their system. So now I am wondering - are all of the REX textures done in 4096 HD rendition? Should I change my REX cloud settings to 1024, and leave my TML setting at 4096? Or shoul…

Hi all, I'm using the iFly 737NG flying offline and i have learned how to fly a SID using the FMC but it's now time to learn STARs. I have the charts that i need for the flight i am planning. What i am unsure about is how to link flying a STAR and lining up for the landing runway on the ILS. These are the charts for the airport i would like to learn (EGPH Edinburgh UK). I am thinking about buying the Reality XP GNS 530 Garmin. I haven't figured out from their web site how things work. For example, if I load the 530 into a payware airplane which has the 430 installed, does the 530 actually install into the VC, or do I have to click somewhere to get the 530 to pop up? Also, can I install the 530 garmin in a plane without an existing garmin, how does this process work? One last question: on payware planes with an existing 530 garmin, does the XP Reality one actually replace the one in the VC? Thanks so much.

Hello everybody: I am new to the forum so I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I have FSX with Acceleration installed. I am a die-hard fanatic of Southwest Airlines, and that is the only airline I fly, so I am only interested (for now) in repaints, original aircraft and other things that deal with SWA. My problem is I seem to be having trouble finding repaints/original aircraft (im looking for Shamu specifically) that come with a decent set of instructions. Some of them require some programs but I do not know if they are paid or not so if somebody could please give me some guidance on this matter, I would greatly appreciate it. I have always most traveled in Denmark. And in general the airports are fairly small. THAT means my sliders are more right than left, when we talk about traffic. Flying to Hamburg in the PMDG 737, and on arrival FPS drops to unacceptable low. Around 9-15. So, i was wondering what setting other i7 users apply for Airliner and GA traffic? In Denmark its absolutely possible to fly with traffic higher than 75% on both types.

Hallo somedays before i installed in my fsx the REX essential+ and from this time in my every flight agter take-off 1-1:30 hours fsx stops. When i took an eye at the pc manager it says that programm fsx.exe version 10.0.61637.0 had a fatal error and stopped responding eith the system! I am at a loss, what i can do? Thanks!!!

Yet another one of my threads allowing you to spend my money. My new system should be here in a week, but I'm still trying to map out my initial purchases. You would think I'd call it quits after spending nearly 1900$ but nope, FSX out of.the box won't cut it for most of us. The NGX is my first purchase after I've set up the system and sim and completed all of the required tweaking, but I have a few questions as to what I should get next. Orbx or UT? Is there a big difference? The reason I like the idea of ultimate terrain is because it's one big package for one price. Is orbx worth the added costs?
