I have been trying to find these 2 tools for FSX. I know they were released for FS2004: Bubble Sextant Gauge by Dave Bitzer and Mark Beaumont. Driftmeter by Dave Bitzer These would be great additions to the A2A B-17 and 377. Anyone know if these are released for FSX or adaptable?

  2. I have A2A's p51d, as well as RealAir's Duke (Piston), and might consider FINALLY adding the Lancair Legacy to my FSX Gold fleet. RealAir models come with customized weather / turbulence effects. Do these interfere with A2A's AccuFeel negatively? Can I set an A2A profile to go with the RealAIr Duke or Legacy, and enhance further the feeling of those aircraft models? The only add-ons I presently have installed for FSX are: - A2A's P51d Civil - Real Air Duke (piston) - Aerosoft DR-400 - Flight1's PC-12 I am considering the Lancair Legacy, and even the NGX (PMDG). Would like to read from users using any of this add-ons and AccuFeel 2.0. Thanks…

I have an airport I downloaded. It is Roskilde in Denmark (EKRK). The filenames are EKRKDAN.zip, EKRK2.zip and EKRK-up1.zip. There is also a stock airport for it which lists and shows all the taxiways in AFX and in ADE. When I go to the airport and call ground I get no progressive taxi at all. What do I have to do to get the progressive taxi paths to show and also have ground recognize them? Thanks, Bob. This is the only airport that progressive taxi does not work. I am not running DX10 Preview. I read somewhere else that the addon scenery has to have the right elevation for the progressive taxi to work.

I'm at a point In which everything in FSX is working perfectly and I'm looking for the extra spice. So I need your advise on 2 things: 1- default fsx ATC - although I give credit to FSX for a great ATC platform, I would like a more interactive and less robotic ATC to talk to. Are there any addons that make ATC better and more interactive? For instance, ATC assigning differ departures and SIDS and not asking me to climb runway heading until FL110. 2- is there a way to get airports looking more busy without the added performance cost of air traffic addons? I would like airline liveries parked in different sections of each airport but not flying around and wasting re…

So, I think photoreal scenery would be the next great addition to my simming ... and from what I have read MSE v2 is about the best out there right now. Unlike scenery for a specific airport, it also strikes me that it is the type of addition that you want as much coverage as possible ... even including those "fly-over states" which you would not normally worry about because you aren't departing or arriving. With a $10-$40 per state pricing structure, to cover the US (when it's all completed), at best you're looking at spending $500 and at worst $2000 (with the reality obviously a number somewhere in-between). I went back and ran the numbers, and over the past ten…

Mybe I am an "oddball" but I have never used this before! Compiling a plan seems simple enough,but..... with departure and desired, related info' entered'; ditto destination; when the map appears there is no "red route line"! The Nav' log listing is complete and the route appears in my GPS. So I am not able to edit the plan. Sure it must be me????? regards anamiv

Hi! I tried my best, but there it is. Anyone have any tips to make this approach smoother? I used this site to help me find out the procedure. http://pilotsbriefin...2011/09/page/7/ Pro-atc-X seems unaware of this since it wants me to approach over the hills from north. The real world approach video is here: Regards, Arto

With ILS, FMC and such, a flight can be nearly fully flown and landed by the computer. But they still don't have auto-takeoff, right? Or is that on some commercial flights now also? And I'm not talking about those pilot-less, fully automated test planes. Overall, I was just wonder what is the LEAST amount of actual flying a pilot can do after being lined up on the runway ready for takeoff.

Hi all, I spend some of my time flying around the world in the NGX, together with fs2crew and opusFSX. My performance is good on the ground, but as I climb to cruise altitude (around flight level 300), the FPS drops to around eight (from 25-30 on the ground). I have set up OpusFSX with the lowest ground visibility (32 km), and also reduced high altitude visibility (which should be 96 km according to the manual). Does anyone have any ideas for why my FPS drops? If I change the view to only be of the virtual cockpit I get back into my locked 25 FPS. For the record, I'm flying in P3D, but I do not think this is the issue, rather some of my graphics settings/high alti…

  14. I was doing a flight out of KBYI today, in the A2A Cub, low and slow, 1500' AGL, first time I've flown this month. I noticed right away that the scenery was different, greener in many places. Then I noticed the deciduous trees had leaves. Then I realized what date it was. March first! Spring scenery! Finally, no more dreary Winter scenery. Go fly and enjoy. Hook

Hi, I finally finished my collection at last! <<Admin Note: Sorry but we have to remove your Image - it was 1.40 MB in size! Attached Images of that size cause us issues and slow things down a lot! Please follow the image rules for attachments - no more than 400K. Just edit the image in GIMP or any graphic package to an acceptable size. Its pretty easy to do.>>

This may seem a basic question but at the moment I haven't found he answer. I want to take off from an aircraft carrier so load up an Acceleration carrier file. On loading, I'm on the flight deck but moving fast and have to apply brakes to stop getting my feet wet. I then have get a pushback to get back to the catapult. I now save he flight (under a different name) but when reloading that flight again I'm on full afterburn, crash, die and it's a horrible mess. I must owe the American tax payer billions in lost aircraft! So my question is, how do you set up a saved flight so to start at zero knots?

  20. Probably can be found somewhere but I have looked high and low for the option to have FSX turn off the display in small red font of the make, altitude and distance of AI aircraft and can't find it. Is there such an option? It is very annoying. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hello all! I am waiting for my copy of fsx to come in the mail tomorrow! After doing alot of research I saw alot of people saying REX was one of the must have addons. Quick question when it comes to buying addons, as a steam user I really like digital downloads, but I don't know if I like buying digitally from other vendors. What I am really getting at is, with steam you can download the same game over and over again with no problems. If I buy REX from a store will they allow me to redownload it if needed? I noticed the download is about 8g so I am thinking about just ordering the CD in the mail too. I was thinking about ordering from fspilotshop if that matters or a…

  24. Hi guys, A few days ago I read something about installing addon scenery on a seperate HDD (or SSD). I am just curious, what exactly are the advantages of this apart from loading times? I don't think having many add-on sceneries will effect framerate at all, or will it? Thinking about it, only one scenery gets loaded at a time and has already been offloaded for a long while by the time you arrive at your destination (add-on) airport. I could be wrong about this of course. Does anybody have experience or knowledge about this? Secondly, how does one install it on a seperate drive? I started looking at my scenery.CFG located in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX and I saw …

Hello all, does the following ever happen to you and, if so, is this avoidable? While flying to and from any two airports, any aircraft, whether Prepar3D (which I am now completely sold on, btw) or FSX, on full autopilot and at cruise altitude, the aircraft will shift heading and the speed will spike momentarily to overspeed - all in a couple of seconds. Is this supposed to simulate turbulence or what? Can I control this annoyance as it has drastic effects on statistical flight evaluation software etc. Suggestions or comments anyone? Thanks in advance.
