Hi together! First I just wanted to mention that this is one of my first posts here, so forgive me if it isn't postet in the right part of the forum. The problem: My FSX always crashes after flights that include good complex addons. For example if I fly the Carenado B-200 from Felts Field to Jackson Hole (both ORBX addons) I'm absolutely shure FSX crashes after this flight as soon as I "interrupt" simulation, for example by changing the aircraft, switching between full screen and window mode, open any menu in full screen mode,... This only happens with "complex" addons, especially it seems to have to do with HD textures (e.g. using FSDT Vancouver, some ORBX airpo…

I had this problem a while ago and don't remember how it was solved. I believe it was an effect file addition. Can anyone help? Thanks Dom

Hello, I have always been puzzled that it takes me much longer to load FSX after rebooting my system than reloading it from the same Windows session, whether at the same airport as previously or a totally different one. As far as I know and I can see, no cache files are generated by FSX and then deleted during the rebooting. Could anyone explain me why ? Thanks TJ

I purchased the FSDT GSX a long while back in July last year but as I had taken a sabbatical from FSX, I did not get arround to installing it until lately. Have activated it. But when I come to customising an aircraft from the drop-down menu, a parked aircraft that I'm trying to customise goes into a slew mode. Is there a tutorial on how to set it up to provide ground services? Any help appreciated.

In FSX I have an issue. At least at ORBX PNW and EU, the ocean is not ocean. It is instead a sea of land, with water no longer water and replaced by blocks of plain flat land. The land extends to a certain point, before turning normal, however all the ocean within a certain radius of the aircraft is land. When this problem arose FTX Central was set to FTX EU, and that was where the problem occurred. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? -abasa12

Hi All! Happy New Year! Ok, Well my problem is that I am having extremely bad performance in FSX (For this Spec anyway!) My Computer ; i7 2600K @ 3.4GHz (Stock Speed) GTX 570 8GB RAM 1TB HDD Windows 7 64Bit So As you can see, My computer is pretty good and should be able to Run FSX with add-ons easily and I don't expect to install every add-on into FSX and for it to run smoothly, I just mean having good FPS (30+) with the PMDG 737NGX. Well, This is NOT the case. I have FSX installed, I installed the 737NGX And I get very poor FPS (20-25 MAX). I have fsx and it says version 10.061.637.0. I am told there are later versions. Could someone explain to me what it means?

As soon as I use the throttles then the 8 buttons just below the Thr. are not working anymore. As soon as I put the handles back to almost zero then the buttons are functional again. Logitech said it has to do with fsx faults which he could determing from some files I sent him. Is there a tech guy who could read this files and see what could be wrong. it were the files dxdiag and setup papi and event log etc. waiting for someone who is willing to check these then I will sent them, may be via email. thanks in advance b.t.w I also have x-plane 10 as to follow its develepment but there the throttles work fine with the buttons. so it must be fsx connections.

I am still finding it tricky to land GA aircraft like the Cessa well. This is what i am doing atm: Descend about 400-500 ft/min. Reduce speed as appropriate. Put flaps and gear down as relevant. I am finding it hard to find a good glidepath. Often I am either too high or too low approaching the runway. How do you work out when to start descending from cruise?

Haven't heard about AST Tech before but just found they have released a number of sceneries one of them being Stockholm. Stockholm is my home town so I'm tempted to buy it but thought I would ask you guys first what your experiences are with AST Tech scenery products? Might also mention that I have both UTX and GEX Europe installed but that wouldn't be a problem as I understood it looking at the product page for AST Tech Stockholm.

Does anyone know a decent or better (Preferably free) addon for KDTW? The one I have leaves off half of the McNamara Terminal (generally around gates c20-c40ish). I am tired of not having a building in front of me and would like something that looks nice. FPS isn't really an issue so please all addons are welcome! Todd Ray

FSX SP2. After baggage cart departs I close the cargo doors. If I do not pushback right away the baggage cart comes back and pushes its belt into the fuselage!

I read on the home page that WoAI is going to shut down April 30, 2013! . I am fine if they stop producing packages but why are they taking everything down from Flightsim.com and here at Avsim? Why don't they leave the packages up? Happy Landings!

Hi there, I have been away from the sim for a while. Now I am returning, before I left I was having an issue with FTX England and GEX Europe, with the fact that with FTX england running GEX europe was blurry. Over the weekend i flew on a short BA flight from London - Berlin (in real life!). I was in row 1 with 3 seats free. Since there was not too many people I decided to fire up FSX, FS2Crew and VATSIM on my laptop. I tried not to speak too loudly but got some strange looks from the cabin crew when requesting clearance and speaking to the FS2Crew copilot! Funnily enough the captain came back as he was curious as to what i was doing. I showed him my PMDG 737 checklists and he was impressed as they were very similar to his! I recently reinstalled my FSX and now I have strange "block" coastlines like this - any thoughts?

I'm a bit confused about how the Scenery Library works in FSX. I understand the concept, the stuff at the "top" of the library gets precedence over the things at the bottom. However, I was hoping to be able to learn a bit more and gain a bit more understanding. I've got several products that add entries to my scenery library and, after installing several add on products, I'd like to be able to make sure its in the correct order. I decided to check the Preview Direct X box in FSX. This requires a restart. In doing so, a window now appears that reads "A Fatal Error Occurred." A second window then appears and reads "MFS has stopped working." Program shuts down. Is there a way to uncheck this box outside of the program; like say a config file? I sure would hate to go through the uninstall/ Install process. Thanks
