A few days ago, my significant other let me loose with the credit card, knowing i was REALLY wanting to buy Aivlasoft's Electronic Flight Bag since my demo time ran out and i was flat out hooked on it. And i happened to sneak in Fly Tampa's Abu Dhabi scenery with it. Needless to say, both are EXCELLENT addons, and EFB will enhance your flying experience by making you look like a pro, and Abu Dhabi was just a feast on the eyes. Ill start with Aivlasoft's EFB. I was hoping I could get some help understanding the following approach plate and how to handle performing the procedure under the set of circumstances I'll mention below. Its been years since I've flown a real aircraft and I never did continue to get my instrument rating. I've always stuck to VFR in FSX and so IFR flight is a bit new to me. I have noticed this particular during the last time (subjective feeling). I use the DX10 tweaks and I have REX in which I have chosen 512*512 textures and DXT5 optimized (lowest possible). My experience with clear sky I often get stable 30 fps in ORBX PNW with addon plane Katana 4X. As soon as there are some clouds in the sky fps drops to low 20. And that is with FSX own weather. It seem to have a greater impact on fps than autogen traffic and other scenery sliders.

I get an occasional crash after being in flight for many minutes. Using Rex Essentials. I select a set of Runway textures, save with a name and then install. However, there is no change in FSX. I have REX pointing to the FSX root folder. I have looked in FSX folders/files but can't see any changes dated today (19th). I am probably skipping some simple step ..... I also have the P3D ($4.99) option and Prepare3d also shows no change in runway/taxiway testures. Windows7 64bit 8gb memory

Ever since I wasted over 1800 on my gaming rig for fsx, I can't get it to stay stable and load textures fast as well as autogen. When I watch videos on youtube I see people with lower specs playing the game better then me, and no-to little scenery popping. My specs are ; i5 3570k oced to 4.3ghz on Air, galaxy gtx 580 -- 860mhz core , 16ddr3 ram 1600, p8z77 mobo, ocz vertex 4 ssd 128gb ( FSX AND OS ). I've tried the bojote tweak, as well as numerous amount of tweaks. I am currently running 4- 5 addons ( GEX, REX, AERO SOFT CHICAGO, SAN FRAN, ETC ). I just took off from Honolulu where I have the FSDT scenery and the island looked fine but now I've started flying over the other islands and I am getting these random open squares with water in them which clearly shouldn't be there. Anybody know why this is happening? Thanks

I´m not sure which one I should get. (or any other alternative?!) Of what I read so far, you need to have a registered version of Flusipc installed (which I don´t have) and there may be problems when installing it to FSX.Those infos were quite old though, so maybe these problems has been patched out meanhwile. I´m looking for some more details in regards of the VCs, bugs, sim-depth etc. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone , until now I have always used the default Defrag software on the op system , but I think it would be worth my while buying a Defrag program now . Can anyone tell which one will do the best job & also how to use the software. I have op system win 7 ultimate on 240 gig ssd , & fsx + all sceneries on a 600 gig vrap drive . I really don't want to mess this up as I have loads of software for fsx on the drive . I know not to Defrag the ssd though.

I am finding it difficult to start both engines of the Basler BT67 (by Fuernkaess, Jahn, Metzger and Naegele). I have followed the documentation, and am able to only ever get one of two engines started. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm not sure if the line highlighted in blue from the documentation is a typo or not, but I have to have the condition on (opposite fuel cutoff) With left engine started, - right hand main pump on, - right hand ignition start - power lever at low idle - press and hold the start button .... just turns over and over .... I know they probably are from some kind of help system but as I don't need them they are kind of annoying. Couldn't find any option in either the options or the .cfg ... I already have Orbx England, but does anyone also have Horizon's scenery also installed? I am assuming its easy to switch between the two by using the Orbx FTX Central to change back to default, is this correct? Is Horizon worth it for sightseeing, ie flying around an area I know seeing all the attractions, castles, land marks etc? Any comments appreciated Cheers

I am having an issue with using dual monitors with the DX10 preview enabled. I am wondering if anyone else is having the same issue and more importantly if anyone knows how to correct it.If I enable the DX10 preview, my flight will display in the second monitor. The game loads on the primary monitor just fine, all menus and flight/mission selection 'stuff' is on the primary monitor...when I go to fly, the flight appears on the second monitor. While flying with DX10, I can switch from full screen to windowed mode

Im sitting here racking my brain trying to remember some, but not much luck. I do know of Barry Blaisdells site and Historic Jetliners Group, and maybe a couple more, but i know theres a ton more. Besides the main portal sites, (avsim, simviation, flightsim) what do you recommend?

Hello ppl, I was totally disapponted when i realized that in KFJK with the lightweight plane i got 15 fps @ 3.0ghz, and same 15 fps @4.0ghz. I think i will give up trying to make out the best from FSX. It is a challenge full of nonsenses and conflicts. By the way, cpu is QX9650......

Hi people, I need some help solving this problem with REX in the picture all theose lines are glitching. I tried to restore REX back-up but didnt help, also uninstalled REX didnt work. I think REX changed the scenery.cfg file which i only can reset by reinstalling fsx. any other addons i have is EZdok and mega airport Schiphol which also has the glitch.
