Is there any place that has an updated FSX list for the atc_model= and atc_type= entries in the aircraft.cfg? I have an old FS2002 list but there are a lot of newer type plane entries missing. Thanks, regards, Bob.

Hi all When I am parked on the ground, I cannot get the sim rate faster than 4x. It will go up to 128x, but the time will only go forward at a rate of 4x. Is there a way to fix this? I turn around all of my flights and fly back to the origin, but with some, the plane is on the ground for 12 hours or more. Even at 4x it takes about 3 hours. Please reply ASAP. Hello, I've got an i7 2600k OVC at 4.3 GHZ and Nvidia 580. I've got an AOC monitor 29". I have Word Not Allowed'd, I have *******'d etc... See screenshot attached at EGCC, my framerate are "ok" but night texture are strange at time (see issue cloud picture 1). When I am hitting clouds at at FLxxx they look nice but then if I am on the ground they look strange. The night ground texture as well (see issue cloud picture 1). I have started to NGX and it is getting very interesting....Anyone experienced the same thing. I am also using REX essential btw. Anyway to fix this cause I am about to lose my mind. Has anyone downloaded the new Dash 7 for FSX by Milton Shupe? It's a port over from Fs9, I have installed it,to test it but it has a few things that I find missing... Firt the Vertival speed box is empty, not allowing me to set a v/s; The plane climbs but stalls... I'm using ...Again my old version as I have this one updated for my needs with Weather panel and an extra interior view. What bothers me most is the v/s. Berlopez

I have a question about how to get rid of jaggies. I have a high end machine 990x cpu dual 590 nvidia cards - I am getting >100 pfs - you see 250 fps here. I have all graphic settings set to max. Yet I have jaggies on exterior view on LD767 and PMDG 737. Resolution is 1920x1200x32. Anti-alaising is on and anisotropic is on. I assume anisotropic and anti-alaising on gives the best graphics - right? Any ideas? Now for the dumb question (I tried Googling this but no good answer) I see no difference between bi-linear, tri-linear, anisotropic and no filtering. Why? So what does that do? Hello people, I have quite a few add-ons right here, and I was looking at OpusFSX lately. I really want it because it looks great and I have read good things about it. But the main reason is that I'm now using the REX Weather Engine which sometimes causes big framerate drops and the weather isn't always accurate. So, would anyone recommend OpusFSX, also regarding the framerate? How big is the framerate hit compared to most other weather add-ons?

I love flying photoreal but I hate landing on a flat surface. I wonder if it's possible to turn off MSE at some grids around airports so that autogen scenery shows. Question is, how to find those grids. Gregg

I've been unhappy with my performance results recently and have been trying to figure out what to do about fps fluctuations. I have setup fsx as per most tweaking guides. This morning I noticed that flying in the middle of the USA no fps drops, but when I approached the coast and the ocean became visible my frame rates started going down. I use rex textures and have water set at 2x high not maxed. I then lowered my setting for water and my frames improved. Ok I like the detailed water so I don't know if there is anything I can do to keep it that way and not lose my framerate. Thanks for the help. Anthony

I have cleared the internet Explorer temporary Internet Files (cache) yet my FSX insists upon reverting back to User Defined Weather. When I select Real World Weather (Updates every 15 minutes) and click OK, I do not get an indication theat the weather from Jepsem is downloading or updating FSX. What does anyone suggest I look at next to fix this?

Ever since this was hinted at in another thread, it has been bouncing around my head. What exactly were they saying? Because if taken literal, that would mean that the DX10 tweaks, Bojote poking around the dlls, messing around with the cfg file or even PMDG writing their own AP logic to circumvent stock FSX limitations would be in violation of the EULA. The Katana 20-100 4X I already have and the Robin DR 400 X seem interesting. But I also have a slight impression that it's similary to the Katana or am I mistaken ? Would like to here from people who have both. My hope and expectation is that the DR 400 X is 1) More fps friendly 2) Easier to handfly 3) Better and more realistic flight model I find the Katana to be very sensitive. For example even a slight input on rudder and the coordination ball goes wild around. The VSI can swing up and down very much. Will I be more content with the Robin DR 400 X ?

Whenever ATC activates, especially after a period of silence, there is a slight FSX stutter, or momentary pause. Any ideas on the cause? Thanks.

Hi guys, sorry for my bad english, in any case I have a windows 7 64bit with fsx Accelerate. Before I've used ENB but many time when switch to full screen in window mode, fsx goes crashed. Now I have tried to use the last version of FXAA, but every time I start FSX, it don't start because tell me that are missing some files (???). Obviously without FXAA, FSX is ok. I don't know wath happen, I have search in many forum without find any good result. Any idea somebody ? thank's in advance. bradimarte

I have done everything in the tutorial up to the engine start. The engine start procedure is pretty similar to every other plane I've flown. So I push the 'Start Master' to 'On', and move the Engine Start switch to '1'. Then I push the 'Engine' switch to 'Start.' The Ignition light illuminates, and so does the 'Starter Operating' light. Then as the tutorial says I am supposed to see the N2 rise. But nothing happens. Any ideas?

I understand that I can get external power if I have Acceleration installed. I do, but switching GRD PWR on appears to not do anything. The only options in the control panel under ext are OFF and N/A. Am I missing something? And I can't seem to reverse the Basler. Tail wheel locked, brake off, Power levers in reverse, condition lever full. Instructions say Propeller in reverse, but how? I can only pull it as far back as the red/yellow hatching.

Somebody had a somewhat similar posting yesterday on this subject. This is not a constant problem, however, I've experienced at certain airports / runways about 200-300' AGL near the threshold, the plane suddenly starts a sharp turn to left and its all you can do to gain control back to land it without crashing. This has happened with several different aircraft and not consistently at the same runway. Seems random but Im guessing its not that simple. A/P was not engaged but Flight Director was. Just curious if anyone knows if this is an airport design issue or something else.

Hi Everyone i want to try FlightBeam's KPHX Last Night I Downloaded Demo and ınstalled here ı launched game ground looking black and water ı restarted my computer but not works ı delete sp2 and repair it on installion and setup sp2 again but no works everywhere is black and watered its so bad here is a photo water ,air ,clouds ,aircrafts ,airports ,runways ,trees , buildings looking okay but there are no ground :(

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but here it goes. I have been running fsx at 30 fps locked for some time on an I7 2600k 8gb gtx 550ti, i was experimenting with shade for fsx when all of a sudden my frames are down to 7-8 fps. I closed fsx down and shade showed it was unloading its textures but even when I load fsx by itself since than my frames are terrible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Anthony

I have hundreds upon hundreds of hours in FSX. I have, however, not used it for a long time due to other sims/priorities. Now I'm feeling the urge to reinstall FSX on my new computer (can't wait to get my hands on that Majestic Q400). I'm thinking about buying the "Gold" version from GFWL as I don't really know where my original discs are.. :rolleyes: I have a couple of questions for you guys and gals in here: Is the download-version compatible with all the 3rd party software? Does it come with the latest patch/service pack available or do I have to chase those files down myself? Then back to the topic of 3rd party software, what is considered the "golden standard" …

I have being trying to download the software again from the Opus fsx site but yesterday and today all I get is the web page can not be found. Are they having issues? Roy

What I would like to know is 1- starting up the engines where do i put the mixture half or full? 2- is there a way to increase to power of the engines like modify and increase the ceiling height of the aircraft so there is more oxigen to climb 3-is there is simple explonation availeble for the bendix which is present in the waco thanks in advanced

These two comparisons are the best I could do so far. In Alabama The verdict is still out as far as I am concerned. Yet to fly enough in 1.099 to really catch on, but then it will be the norm anyway.... Conclusions: 1.096 is basically green, more green, and less green = plasticky 1.099 is basically green, and brown*ish,and grey*ish = more real(????)
