Ive set up my FSX to Full Realism including Stress Damage and Crash Detect. All the sliders are also on Full Realism. I did this to take advantage of the flight, systems and engine dynamics of some of the better done aircraft by well know developers like PMDG, Carenado, etc. Sometimes I pay the price for poorly made 3rd party airports by crashing into buildings that aren't there or expecting mechanical functions to occur that don't do as they should, etc. Im curious about how the rest of you deal with this and is it worth the aggravation of poor flight modeling messing up my realism expectations. Hi, I have a Posky Airbus 320 installed and it has the Default Airbus 321 VC with it but i would like to know how i can switch panels and put the Default 737-800 VC into the Airbus 320. Thanks for any help. Roger.

Hi folks, It's been a while since Wilco Publishing has released a new product (the CRJ Evolution). Does anyone know what they have in line? I remember they said before Christmas 2012 that they had something under production, and would reveal it soon in 2013. Okay, it's Wilco. However, they actually finish something quite decent, like the 737 Evolution (which I think is great for a medium level simulation). Any guess/ comments are welcome. Thank you. Cai

Hello everyone, I am a fellow simmer and a graduate student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University working on my capstone project (aka thesis). I am conducting a survey of consumer flight simulator software users who do not hold a real world FAA pilot certificate (license). As can be seen in the attached screenshot, I have terrain FSX/GEX textures bleeding through my photoscenery (MegaSceneryEarth 2.0 Alabama). So far, I've only seen this in one location (just south of KHUA), but I haven't explored the entire state yet I've used other MSE 2.0 photoscenery products (I even have SimSavy's Alabama, which MSE 2.0 'bama is based on) but I've never seen this before. Best I can figure, either some tiles are missing from the MSE 2 package (which I doubt), or for some reason my PC isn't rendering the photoscenery properly. Assuming the latter, what might I try to correct this problem? Perplexed.

Dear Simmers, I have several ORBX sceneries installed, however I have encountered a problem of sorts that was designed to be. Whenever I install/update something new from ORBX, the entire ORBX section jumps to the top of the scenery library, which is an issue when some other sceneries should have priority. Is there a way to maintain the ORBX scenery library position and not have it jump to the top? Thanks! -abasa12

If you have ORBX active, will the REX textures all install correctly? The reason I ask is because you have to select ORBX with their utility, I was just curious whether or not REX would install to the inactive scenery. Thanks Bob

While using PMDG 737 and in some quality sceneries like Miami City 2012, the textures load slower and show blue textures instead. I am using 1024 as TML. What other settings should I configure?

Files thrown everywhere with all these addons; the main FSX directory looks especially ugly. Do you guys use an external install program watcher, or just leave it to the uninstall programs that come with your addons?

Hello, I don't know what causes this rather strange problem but it is so frustating! With my PMDG Boeing 737NGX everytime I request a pushback via FMC, there is the known dialog between captain and ground crew, and after releasing the brakes the tug is moving towards the AC and crashes on it! I made a test with my PMDG MD-11 this time, using the same airport and same gate (Aerosoft EDDH) and the pushback tug moves towards the AC properly connecting without any problems or crashes. I tried with several other Aerosoft addon airports, LSZH and LGAV, with the same results. Is there a specific connecting point with PMDG 737NGX or there is a general pushback issue? Wit…

Hi, I purchased this plane thru PC Aviator (download) in October. I experienced all types of problems. PC Aviator sent a disc. I got it installed (don't remember how) before receiving disc. I attempted to flyFriday & received the following error message "Aircraft Intialization Failure Area 51 Sim C-5m Super Galaxy". I uninstalled & reinstalled. Still having the same problem. Can anyone help? Also, I have never received a response from Area 51 Support in October/November regarding the original issues. I have sent them an email regarding this issue. I thought I read somewhere that you could remove the engine information from the PFD (left) screen. Right now, the info sits on the right of the screen, but I saw pictures of the PFD (including Carenado's instruction manual) where the PFD shows a full screen display without the engine information to the right. Is there a way to remove the engine information from the PFD?

My computer setup includes a 27" primary monitor and a 19" secondary monitor. When doing normal computing work transferring information from one screen to another works flawlessly. This was also the case with FSX until recently. Now when running FSX the secondary screen is blank (black). Can anyone assist with this problem? Neil Bradley

On Tim Conrad's Grumman Tiger, I am having an issue with the VC panel. None of the gauges are showing up. There are black squares over the gauges. Any ideas??

I have been looking for a decent scenery for this airport. When I had FS9, there was a payware for it which was pretty good. I read something that some developers were working on it for FSX, but I think it got cancelled or something. Anyone have some input?

Hi guys, I remember reading about a moving map app here about a week ago. It was free, used what looked like google maps and satellite images, and worked on ios. I have recently encountered a problem with momentary white flashes in the upper part of the screen. The flashes happen randomly every several seconds - something like a quick lightening flash. It is more noticeable when flying at higher altitudes since the flash encompasses a greater area of the upper screen. It is also more noticeable when there is a dark blue sky. I use Wideview and have 3 clients running. The flash happens simultaneously on each of the clients so it is not related to a video card problem I would think. Hello all! I have been out of the sim for a couple months dealing with a busy time at school but I have had a lot more time the past 2 weeks. Anyway, I am starting PPL training very soon and need a good 172 for fsx. I have heard about the F1, but it looks graphically horrendous and not quite like the panel I will be training on. I was wondering if anyone could recommend another good current-ish 172 for fsx. I know of the Carenado, which I am favoring right now, but I don't like the vintage panel so I was wondering if anyone had a mod for the vc (not the 2d panel) that would add a GPS and some other goodies. Ladies and gentlemen: As the title indicates, I had a teriffic experience today with PMDG. I'll be as brief as I can. My J41 became a problem - some of the panels quit working. After reading what seemed like hundreds of posts, and trying some suggestions from their support website, I had no luck. SO finally, frustrated, I submitted a help ticket - late Friday. I had an aswer EARLY Saturday morning - SATURDAY!!! It didn't help. I answered some questions and replied back. Later on Saturday, I got a reply back. Not able to tune most VOR/DME stations in United Arab Emirates (Dubai, etc.) . No problems tuning stations near Seattle. Have tried default and payware aircraft with same results. Non Tunable stations : DXB 108.4 MIN 115.2 JXB 113.4 ADV 114.25 ALB 114.0 MA 114.9 FJV 113.8 Tunable stations: RAV 113.6 SIR 113.75 Is this a known issue with (perhaps) a solution? I'm getting ready to do a clean install of FSX. I have FSX Gold with Acceleration. Is there any performance advantage to using Acceleration versus the Service Packs or vice versa?
