I don't know if there are any airline pilots on the forum, but if so, I would love to ask you a question. If you took the physical factors and fear of death from flying a commercial airliner, on a scale from 1 to 10, how accurate do you think PMDG aircraft compares to the particular airplane you fly?

I was struggling to find a title for what I wanted to say. What I want to do exactly is drag the PMDG 737 instruments to a second screen but without the massive frame hit. I have heard of Fspanel , can it re position to a second screen? Is there any payware that can tap into the PMDG I/panels perhaps? looking for any suggestions pls

I got Flightzone KPDX to work in FSX but there seem to be some static aircraft in the military area ( 2 B-52 and 4 or 5 Migs) . Anyone know which BGL to remove to delete these aircraft? I removed the "Plane" BGL already but that did not solve the problem.

FAJS is now FAOR I want to change the Simmarket FAJS scenery so it has the new ICAO of JAOR. How can I do this?

Flying the iFly 737NG When landing at EIDW on ILS RWY28 I am finding myself postioned to the right of the runway. The Jepperson Charts (2012) show the ILS as having a course of 279 degrees. The bgl file that I am using shows, in ADE and AFX, a course of 275.3 (True). Although I have not landed at the other ILS runways at this airport I imagine that they are the same namely the aircraft lands to the left/right of actual runway. In my aircraft FSC everything looks o/k and I have the course correctly set on the course panel (279). How can I correct the bgl file to allow me to land on runway centerline. I have tried the magvar corrector but to no avail, it still shows the ADE…

Added the update to OPUS weather, and no matter what I do, when I start it before starting FSX, it doesn't connect and won't start. Any advice? Stan

The review mentions: Some features have not been simulated such as the wing lights and the DIM selection on the nose gear lights are not simulated ( But who knows, Espen is know to always be willing to update his products so we may see these things implemented in the future…)Does anyone know if this has been fixed since the review?

I bought this program last night. I put the file in the FSX folder and installed it per instructions. It did not put any files in the FSX folder that I recognize. Where else might they be? I booted FSX but I was unable to find anything there, either. My understanding is that Checklist Manager is a stand alone program, requiring only FSX to run. If that's not the case then I bought a program I can't use. Apprecciate your help. Wes

Increasing my LOD in FSX CFG higher than the default 4.5 to 6.5 for example really seems to lower my FPS... Or at the least when in a landing approach on a FSDT airport in a city such as Ft. Lauderdale the smoothness turns into a series of micro stutters. This just seems to effect the FSX Menu slider under Level of Detail Radius which I currently have set to MEDIUM. From what I've read though increasing LOD even up to 8-9 shouldn't really effect FPS. That being said why is it a noticeable hit on my system? Are you all lowering Autogen density when increasing LOD? I have Autogen on Very Dense but was considering the trade off in lowering it for a high…

I fly primarily in New Zealand. I would like to reduce load times. I've got the following add-on scenery installed: 1) GodZone RealNZ Southern Lakes Adventure (Wanaka, Tekapo) 2) ORBX New Zealand South Island 3) FS Genesis - World Mesh, North America 4) UTX USA 5) GEX North America Clearly, the USA scenery isn't being used when I am flying in NZ. I'm not sure about the FS Genesis World Mesh; it might be getting overriden by ORBX's NZSI or Godzone RealNZ. My questions are these: 1) Is FS Genesis World Mesh even being used? So, after I five hour flight from Toronto to Vancouver in the PMDG 777, I'm finally on approach and BOOM, "Your computer has run out of available memory". I can't remember the last time that this has happened to me. I guess we're just pushing our rigs right to their very limit with all of the elaborate addons. Maybe P3Dv2 will eventually fix this problem but how long will it take for all of the aircraft and scenery that we like to use to become compatible with it? Maybe X-Plane will eventually be the answer, but until they have some kind of Ai traffic program and decent weather injection I don't see that as becoming my everyday sim. Excuse the rant. I had to re-install FSX and all my addons. When i re-installed my Carenado products that were from retail boxes, I was unable to see the structure view: So, I made sure everything was updated, Win8, Nvidia drivers...and still no luck. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am not sure if the problem is in FSX and one of the .cfg's or with Carenado. I tend to believe it might be FSX as I do have 1 downloaded Carenado product and it seems fine. The problem is with the 4 boxed retail versions I own. Very confiusing and very frustrating. Just bought REX 4 to install on my prepar3dv2 and FSX - I tried to unzip the substantial download file - seems to have given me a whole load of files following the unzip including a dotnew4.5 setup one a rexture_20131215 file and x2 sqlocal setup file - in addition to all these setup type files I have a file called setup (labelled as applic file) and x4 other files - these others look like they are still zipped and all 4 begin with the prefix rexre ending in 1-4) Have I done something wrong and how should I install this thing?

Hi Stephen. i was reading about the issues in the last few days but i have a different issue. in a middle of a flight all of a sudden i cant switch to other cameras and it looks like the opus is not functioning. i minimized the FSX and saw that even the updating button info is just stuck in "updating". its only solved when i close the opus and open it again. any ideas ? thank you ! btw i have it in both 3.42 and 3.41.

And if you delete shader cache every time you change something in cfg, or install new addon, you'll have stutter free performance. To be honest, never saw any difference to performance/stutters when deleting shader cache, every now and then. Opinions?
