Hi all I've set up a flight with the aircraft on stand and other settings in place for example I start at gate 109 EGKK engines shut down, name and save the flight and select it as default flight. However next time I start this flight the engines are running and the aircraft is moving forward. I've just migrated from FS9 so it's taking a bit of getting used to so any suggestions welcome. Dear All, After all those great years flying FS2004 I finally built a new PC in order to fly FSX decently. But with FSX, a new paradigm has arrived, for me at least: the Virtual Cockpit. Up to now I have always avoided it, as I don't think it's practical even with the joystick pan. I've been researching about the view managers, if you will, such as the EZdok and the OpusFSX. I must confess I haven't had enough time to learn them thoroughly, and as such I still have one main question about them: can I assign each one of the hat's quadrants (otherwise used for panning) for specific views (or cameras) within these add-ons? I looked into Microsoft SDK but could not find a proper explanation regarding changing values on: [Weather] What a higher or lower value will do? Hey fellas, unsure what's wrong here. At first glance it appears to be a mesh issue, but even with the 'airports of Norway mesh' uninstalled, there still seems to be these strange anomolies, although not quite as prominent. They are everywhere, all over the place. This was after departure from ENNK. Funny thing is, I did a flight a few weeks ago and was unaware of these oddities. Is anyone else experiencing this in this area of Norway? Cheers...

I am just curious if most people here would be interested in a NEW Flight Simulator that fixes what Microsoft didn't and takes off from there. I have Prepar3d and I feel what Lockheed has done is good so far but there's still is a long way to go. The proposal: You can import your existing Microsoft FSX aircraft and some scenery items depending on what it is. You will feel a world that is familiar yet fixes those things that people wished were fixed from FSX. The reason I ask is that this MAY become a reality in the future. I was just following a tutorial which pointed me in the direction of the east midlands eme on a frequency of 353.5 as stated on the charts but i couldnt pick it up . I then looked at my map in fsx and it has a different frequency of 353.0 , have i missed something ? do i need to update them somehow ? thanks for reading ...

So I have been having issues with my FSX. Many programs that apparently need Acceleration to run and I just have SP2 installed. Is there anyway to install Acceleration over SP2 or do I have to uninstall FSX completely and start from scratch? I have a ton of 3rd party scenery and aircraft and would like to not have to start that process over again IF possible.

I have been involved w/ this hobby for a few years and have learned a ton. I've found some great resources that help you to learn how things work - I've focused primarily on the PMDG737NGX. I've signed up for Angle of Attack's training and found it to be a good resource - I've also found that there are times when it is 'assumed' that you know something. That being said, in order to really plan a flight you must have a working knowledge of how charts work...I've spent time trying to find a good resource for an A to Z guide on charts, but haven't been able to find one. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Much appreciated.

Hi all, I recently tweaked the "realism" setting on my FSX up to full right. Previous to this they'd all been around 75% give or take on "custom" setting. After doing this, I'm having a problem where the aircraft will not hold a pitch attitude, but instead wants to constantly oscillate up and down. For instance, if I adjust my pitch and power to climb, when I bring the nose up and put in some trim, whereas it would once stay more or less where I put it, it now wants to pitch back down severely, then back up, then back down, then back up, etc. I went ahead and dropped the realism settings all down to medium, lower than they were initially, and the problem persists r…

Hey guys, Today I tried running my Opus in a networked config (server on FSX box, client on laptop). As far as I can see everything connects fine however as soon as I start the Client (on the laptop) FSX starts restarting the flight over and over until I shut client. I am only running Live Weather option so at a complete loss here. Running server on the FSX box alone works fine. Thanks in advance! Ilya

I was eyeing Just Flights DC-3. Is there anything better?

What I mean by that is, I have aircraft of all sizes, and I'd like to practice my manual flying, but I don't want 20 different routes for 20 different aircraft, I want two airports I can learn the area of very well, and be able to do landings manually (as well as maneuver manually) Do any of you have a route you use like this? I was thinking K|LAX to KLAS, but if anyone has a fun short scenic route that's comparable in length id be all ears.

Installed the latest Nvidia whql drivers, 332.21 and decided to try something different. I kept my 2x sparse grid supersampling setting but went lower anti aliasing. To 4xS I used to have to use 8xSQ or xS and at 4 with these drivers, with 2x sgss, everything seems very crisp and better performance.

Ok so just reccently for whatever reason my EzDok messed up. It is not displaying EZCA in the Addons menu fsx It starts the Ezca software but doesnt load anything it just shows everything blank I assure you the exe.xml file is configured correctly because ezca starts on fsx startup ( It just doesnt load a plane its all blank) I reinstalled it like 5 times no luck same problem Also ran the configurator that it comes with like 50 times Still it just doesnt seem to find fsx to connect too even though the program starts with FSX Also I reinstalled FSUIPC No luck

Tried to purchase the Q400 on The FlightSim Store today. I'm a regular customer over there and have purchased many times from that store but I am not allowed to purchase the Q400 due to "licensing" restrictions. Is this because I live in a country at the &@($*-end of the world ruled by corrupt idiots (South Africa) or something else a little more logical? Never had such an issue before this. Any advice on how to hand my cash over to Majestic so that I too can own this highly rated aircraft?

I've just installed FSX on a new system after years of using FS9. There's a problem with the time and I can't figure it out. I'm on the east coast of the U.S., -5 hours GMT. The default "Friday Harbor" shows the current and correct time for here in the eastern time zone. However, when I go to KATL, KJFK, etc., the time changes +3 hours. In other words, 12 noon real time becomes 3pm. This three hour shift forward has me baffled. Any help would be appreciated. BTW, my computer time is accurate and is set to the right time zone. Good day So i am trying to run opus and while i am running fsx in window mod i tried the spy button to se what is opus is doing and it keeps getting an error cant connect to port 4 what is going on please and do i need to change the port number ? if so how thank you

Hi All, I have this problem which i hope someone has a fix for. While on flight or even changing views, i get blue boxes on the surface of the water and sometimes it takes a a second or two for the skin of the aircraft to normalize. Does anyone know the reason why this happens? Thank you

Has anyone ever had this happen? Overnight I have no scenery. None, default or add on. I have deleted the fsx.cfg file, I have done a system restore. Nothing helps. I also have no outside views of an aircraft. All I can get is a 2-d cockpit. I'm running Windows 7.

Hi All, I just became really addicted to this sim during this last fall season.. Sunk a lot of money into it, but most through sales, so don't feel too guilty. My question, with other gaming genre's. there seemed to be sales grouped around Holidays.. i.e. Xmas.. Easter.. Summer.. Thanksgiving.. Do FSX addons (the ones that do have sales) kind of follow the same suit?.. Or are they random through the year, and Xmas is the only big sale time?... Of course I'm tempted to get more stuff, but if it is fiscally responsible to be patient, I will try!! lol..
