I downloaded Plan G. When I fire up FSX , I noticed it's not in my drop down. I have to go to window mode to see it and even then the only way is to click on the icon in my task bar. When the map is minimized I can't unpause the sim. I would like to see the map minimized while I'm flying . Is that even possible ?

I quite fancy the idea of flying a jetliner that i've never flown before, i've flown lots of various 747s, 737s and 777s from various developers but the 767 has always been a one that's caught my eye as something different. Question is, are either of the available 767 paywares worth buying and if so which one? I know of the Level-D and the Captain Sim but i've heard awful stuff about game-breaking bugs in captain sim products and the VC in the LevelD leaves a fair bit to be desired.

Hi everyone Posted in the Majestic Forums too (would love to have a fix if there is one?): Whilst I understand P3D V2 is not fully supported I wonder if anyone else is having a similar issue? It seems to require an incredible lot of runway to accelerate to V1, V2 ! I think this may be down to using AS2012 for my weather (and the very high outside temperatures bug) ultimately I guess the performance of the aircraft would deteriorate based on this? Could anyone confirm if they have this issue and if so any workarounds they may have to allow me to operate the aircraft normally, and not have to use 3000m runways!? Many thanks in advance

Hello Opus, since a couple of weeks I experience that DHM disables itself. I just downloaded 3,46.6beta, but to no avail. Also I run OPUS in administrator mode. What's going on? A big deal of the realism comes from the 1. If I check 'Enable DHM' and press OK or Save All Cameras, the check mark vanishes again. 2. In the DHM window, Heavy Aircraft (I fly the 777) I have checked on all sections (Enable for Taxi/Landing, Vibration Effects, Turbulent Bumps/Motion, Bump). 3. I don't like AHM, so switch categories here OFF. 4. Still, clicking OK keeps the check mark 'Enable DHM' OFF again. Please help, and thank you in advance.

After trying a few tweaks and going back to a default fsx.cfg file, now when FSX loads up no runways or parking spots are selectable only "active runway" in the airport selection box. Not only can I not actually load FSX but when I exit, it crashes with an unknown dll error. What happened to my FSX?

In several of my Carenado planes, including the 337C and the Baron B58, I found that when I used the Shift+1 keys to bring up the GPS, I would get a nasty image with the lower 1/3 of the screen black. See picture below. Thru a lot of trial and error, I found the fix. If you go into the panel.cfg file and change the last line in the [Default View] section to SIZE_Y=6143, this will fix the problem. Everyone seems to be talking about new aircraft these days, but what sceneries/airports are coming up that you know about, which you are looking forward to? Aside from FTX Global, which I think will totally change the enjoyment I get from the sim, I'm looking forward to the following as I like doing hops over Europe: - Aerosoft Rome Fiumicino - Aerosoft Dublin - FSDG Copenhagen - FSDG Prague (really looking forward to this as one of my favourite places in real life - the city, not the airport that is!) Hi Everyone I have several US payware airports already but most in SE USA or on the west coast (KLAX, CYVR KDFW and KMIA). I am after opinions from everyone about the best payware airports in the US Northeast to cut the flight time down a little to EGLL and other destinations in Europe. Can you offer some advice on your favourites in this area? FSDT KJFK scares me a little because of the frames I am likely to get and VAS issues while using the PMDG B77L. Thanks

I have a camera issue! Suddenly, when I press space, the mouse can't be used to control the view anymore. Seriously frustrating! It registers the press (the pointer changes), but when I move the mouse to the border of the screen, nothing happens. What should I do? Flying PMDG NGX, happened when I mistakenly pressed shift instead of tab and entered KPDX. Tried to reverse engineer it, didn't work. PLEASE HELP

Hi guys! I just bought the PMDG 747-400x. I have some questions for you most regarding the FMC. 1. Where can I find my CG and GW? In the iFly 737 that I usually fly there is a configuration manager telling me, but in the PMDG 747 configuration manager I can only see ZFW and Takeoff Weight or something, is that the GW? And again, what about CG? 2. Everytime I enter waypoints in the FMC it says "invalid entry". Hi Guys, I noticed I have a bunch of 3M (9ft) long runways made out of Ice in Washington KIAD. Maybe this is how FSX creates Ice patches around airports, but the funny thing is this was a summer flight. I have attached a pic. Anybody know if this is normal?

Hello How do I disable settings in FSX for example I have unticked the flying tips option, increased road traffic and increased the frame rate slider bar but the next flight (after shut down and restart) the settings have reverted. I'd like to permanently disable these and other settings. Also how do I adjust the zoom in certain view modes. Thanks Regards Alan W

Besides my other problem in another thread, I've discovered this one. I turn the UI sounds off, change scenery settings, display options, framerates locked to 33 etc. But every time I start up FSX it's all back to the default. Framerates are back to 20 and so on. I'm finding this one difficult to figure out :unsure:

I want to learn how to fly the PMDG 737 and/or 777. I've been flying mostly small bush planes in P3D/FSX and am not at all proficient at IFR. So how does a person with a full-time job and a wonderful wife (who isn't a flight sim fan) manage to learn to fly one of these beasts? Do I need to master IFR flight in GA aircraft, master multi-engine aircraft, etc. before I tackle the best tubeliners? I also have the Flight1 King Air, the Majestic MJC8 Q400 and the Aerosoft A320/321 (don't ask - my eyes are much bigger than my stomach when it comes to flight simming) - are these appropriate intermediate steps on the way to the PMDGs? Any and all advice is appreciated..…

Hi guys! FSX is really starting do annoy me here. I've been trying to fly the JustFlight Dc-6B from NY to Chicago today, and after my extensive modification it handles fine. One problem though, I can't reach cruising altitude. Around FL110 all engines suddenly returned to idle, even with the throttles fully forward. Carburetor heat solved it, but is this supposed to occur at climb power? I don't think so. Then, at FL160, I lost power again, at climb power and with carburetor heat on. I had to glide all the way down to 9500 or so before power came back. This is annoying. Is there any way to disable the effect on a particular aircraft? The Dc-6B is the only piston engine …

What could possibly cause my fsx.cfg to change settings all by itself? I ask because this place is full of experts and this one has me baffled..... I noticed the other day that I didnt have as many buildings and no jetways at airports. After a few days of this I went into the Scenery settings and all the sliders had changed to what appeared to be default settings. Now ONLY the settings on the Scenery page had changed, everything else was where they should be, including all the custom options I have in t he .cfg....4096 textures etc. I run most sliders full right, AI at very dense, etc and everything was back roughtly the center postions, water was at 1x and I…

I want the most realistic, detailed aircraft for Flight Simulator. I want them to be almost unquestionably the best of the best. For current commercial jets, I am going to choose the PMDG 737. I am almost certain that this is far and beyond the best product available for this particular airline. Things don't seem so clear when talking about other aircraft though. I just recently started flying helicopters.I've been using my Saitek throttle controller for ascending and descending. My Saitek X52 Joystick for pitch and yaw. I believe a real helicopter has a cyclic that is used to adjust the angle of the rotor, so while hovering , the fuselage can remain level while the helicopter can move forward or backwards. Is there an assignment that I can give my joystick or throttle that could be used as the cyclic? I also have FUISPC 4. Right now in order to go forward or backwards , I have to pitch the nose up or down, which makes it difficult to land.
