Hi guys. I've always wanted to get your opinions on my FSX settings and I would like to know if my computer is under performing. I have a feeling it should do a bit better than it does but then again I still find myself comparing it to FS9 sometimes and that may be the reason why I am not happy. But i know i shouldn't be so if you guys can help me i would appreciate it. Just need your opinions and/or tips. Please bear with me while i post a lot of specs and tweaks below. I have one good sim friend, met him two years ago at one simracing gathering here in Belgrade. He admited that he is a huge flight simulation freak, spending a lot of money on FSX payware. So, I occasionally visit him, and we end every time talking about FSX stuff and reviewing the planes that he bought. So, I visited him today, and he showed me Aerosoft Diamond DA20-100 Katana 4X with most of bits & pieces. Flew a circle around airport with it, and I must say it is an amazing plane. I was just about to purchase the Carenado B1900D when looking in my inbox I see that Just Flight are having a sale on their F-Lite aircraft, These sort of aircraft appeal to me as they don't look to complicated to fly. Can anyone tell me if they are any good and if they are kind on frames ( my system specs are on my sig) or should I just go with my original choice?

Hello everybody, i have i unique problem that i have never encountered that i hope one of you experts may be able to help me with. I have had to do a full reinstall of fsx for the hundred and first time, and when i went to uninstall it i used windows cleanup utility. FSX was still listed in the program add/remove list, and when double clicked it couldnt remove from the list, so i used cc cleaner to delete the listing in the list. When i tried to reinstall fsx from the cd the remove/repair option widow popped up. i was able to fix that issue and final load fsx, but it never should in the program list, as well, i cant install acceleration do to "unknown component keys error…

I am a new sim flyer. During take off rudder steering is normal. After landing during taxi the airplane aileron flip radically and the plane goes into an uncontrollable taxi. Please how to get rid of the issue. Thanks

When flying an aircraft equipped with G1000 equipment and flying dead on the indicated horizon the result is a descending airplane. Any else with the issue and or the fix? Thanks. New to sim flying and Microsoft Flight Simulator

Hello, When i tried to install FSX on to my new computer, a part of the disc drive some how lifted up and started to badly scratch disc 1. I tried several times to install fsx but it stopped reading after a little while. I tried toothpaste to removed scratches but it made the scratches worse. Heares the proof of purchase Heares the damaged cd Is there some way to repair the disc or a digital disk 1 downlad. Please help me fix disk 1 so i can get back to flying again. Thank you

Yesterday, I installed update 1.6 for the AccuSim 172 and was testing it out with ActiveSky Next running in the background. I noticed a curious behavior that I only experience in the 172. My altimeter and airspeed needles were bouncing +/- 100 ft / 10 kts respectively at a periodic "beat frequency" of about 1 second which seem to correlate with SimConnect updates. It seems like ASN is introducing micro-changes to the environment at 1s intervals and the 172 is not enjoying it much. It's very distracting. The "bouncing" stops as soon as I disconnect ASN. Hi fellow Maddog drivers! I am having trouble getting the auto brakes to arm. I switch the knob to land MED for example, and click the arm/disarm switch and all it does is switch up then back down. I will not set in the arm position. What am I doing wrong? I am sure I have simply missed a step here.

hi, i see strange runway surrounding textures. what is wrong with it?

I was sent some edited files within this scenery by someone some time ago and have no idea where they came from after checking various forum threads and inbox's. Some BGL files had been opened and edited to removed all the poorly modeled static aircraft on the ramps in the Airbus Industries areas. Aerosoft had said prior to this that the removal of 2 files in the scenery folder would clear the aircraft but they also caused the removal of a few buildings and hangers and Aerosoft have been less than helpful since in assisting me with this request to remove static planes. It was awhile after trying to bump the topic that someone contacted me with these edited BGL…

Worked fine prior to applying update but now accepts data but won't calculate weight and balance. The 'Calculate' button is greyed out and won't accept mouse click. Any solutions would be appreciated.

So there I was, about 300 miles out from Moscow, cruising along in the 777. Looks a bit cloudy up ahead. Oh no, turbulence... Then, without warning, an horrendous row, akin to being bombarded by a truck load of BB's . At first I blamed my on-board motherboard sound, or perhaps it was my speakers? But no, it transpired that I was actually experiencing hail, courtesy of Active Sky Next. Every time I fly with ASN, I am blown away. Thanks Hifi, thanks for reinvigorating my interest in FSX.

Hi all- I've reinstalled FSX and it seems that SCE has reatined links to scenery that no longer exists. How can I re-run SCE to clear out the old entries and read the new (stock) entries? Haven't been able to figure this out yet. Thanks, Mark

Man, I've searched and searched and can't come up with a video or anything to show me how to load a plan into the FMC(MCDU). I'd like to be able to do this as simple and easy as possible with minimal text input into the FMC. I don't wish to spend the time to mess around punching info in, I just want to load a route and fly. Anyone know a site or page or file that has a good tutorial to show how to do this in AXE? I'm curious as to how simmers use the 'Select Aircraft' screen when selecting planes. Do you just usually leave it in the default "ALL - ALL - ALL" mode and scroll through the multitude of aircraft to find the one you want? Or do you use the filters? What works best for you? Hi there fellow simmers.I recently programmed a little LUA pluggin (thanks Barry for the idea) to allow tuning the radios (COM1, COM2, NAV1, NAV2, ADF1, ADF2) and the transponder using the numpad of a keyboard and a couple extra keystrokes.It requires licensed FSUIPC4Basically you assign a key to select COM1, or COM2, another one for NAV1 or NAV2, a third one for ADF1 or ADF2 and one for the transponder.Once you have your selection, you can type in the frequency (or squawk code) with the numpad and it will be set to the standby radio selected (or the transponder)Finally a keystroke can be assigned to the swap function to swap the active and stanby frequencies in the …

As of late something odd is happening with FSX. Unable to get the 2D panels to show until I hover my mouse over where they should be and undock? Some payware aircraft manager functions do not work as well.

Hi, I've been using the Eaglesoft Citation X version 2 for a long time. It was working wonderfully. Suddenly the whole plane shuts down in mid-flight after some amount of minutes! Power goes out, engines go, I can't turn electric back on. It happened once before and I forget what I did to fix it :( Anyone with any ideas ? Thanks jj

Let's see who is the first one to ID all seven correctly. Must have the full model number as in XLS or XLS+. Make sure you are looking at the full width of the photo. Regards, Ray
