Hi all I'm at the bottom of a steep learning curve involving several programs that are all interlinked ,I have recently bought the majestic Q400 ,a Saitek yoke and throttle, a registered copy of fsuipc and I use Opus for weather and cameras. Firstly Opus uses simconnect for cameras so I have to have enable controllers ticked in fsx I've set up fsuipc for the basic flying controls which all seem fine but probably need a bit of fine tuning ,but I'm having real problems setting up the throttles and condition levers. Because I 've got the enable controller set in fsx ,even though I only have it set in fsuipc as throttle 1 both throttles move ,throttle 2 only moves throt…

Recently became aware of these rather impressive planes. I'm only so far trying the Bac 1-11 but running through the checklist, I am unable to get the APU to properly start up within my FSX Acceleration. I understand FSX isn't totally supported but wanted to see if anyone has this plane working fully and properly in their FSX Accel install?

I have recently downloaded the old school 727-200 & -100 from Thomas Ruth (who has some amazing planes). As I was flying the Braniff 727-200 the other day from KDFW to MMMX, I was unable to find a switch on the Autopilot that would control the climb and decent rate ft per minute (ie 1800, -1200). Did those pilots from the 60's, 70's and 80's have to fly to say 30, 000 ft then set the altitude to hold or is there a way to use the auto pilot to control the climb and decent? . Also what about the approach and landing with the ils on the autopilot? Any information would be useful. Thanks. PS. I would rather not install an autopilot that would be similar…

Hi, I fly PMDG aircraft, and I am familiar with utilizing the FMC to choose runways and STARs. My question is this: I'm flying a route to KJFK from the south, when I choose the runway, I'm given multiple options on STARs that I can use. Some of those are for routes coming from the south (like me), there are others which are for flights coming from the north. So I'm not sure which to choose. My question is if there is an online list of STARs or a software addon that will assist with this issue. thanks Rob Marton

I noticed a navigraph file in the root of the OPUSFSX file, bur it is empty. Are we supposed to download a navigraph file???????????

Hello I'm looking for some information regarding the Noise Abatement Procedure. I often take off from Gatwick and I am aware there is a NAP, however I'm not sure where the information regarding this is on the chart and where to obtain the correct information so that I take off using the rules of the airport. Can anyone explain to me the process and how I know I'm using the correct take off settings etc? Thanks Matthew

I just did my first flight where I landed at night. I am using FTX Global+UTX+REX OD. I am curious though if there is some type of program or setting that can help the scenery look better at night? I guess I was expecting there to be more ground lighting. I mean the roads and stuff all had nice lighting but once off the main roads everything looked pretty dim and maybe that is just how it's supposed to be but I figured I would ask if there is anything I can do. I did the FTX Global light fix. So I am using the FTX global lights instead of the UTX night lighting.

Has anyone learned how to get the q400 to use vafs? I try to start engines and it doesn't recognize that they are running. Thank you Anthony

Hi allI am having a problem getting the 737-800 to follow the GPS path when in autopilot mode.I turn the GP/Nav to GP -the plane holds what ever heading is in the dialled window.I have no problem in the 747-I select the GP/Nav and select NAV from the panel switch.I can't find any other switches in the 737,only GP/NAV ,shouldn't there be a NAV/HD HOLD switcht as well-like the 747.Looking forward to your help.Beans.

Hello: Similar to the "scenery config editor", is there one for aircraft? A tool which stores the aircraft outside the main FSX directory and allows you to add/remove the aircraft as you fly them? Thanks!

I've noticed that sometimes the airplanes wings in WOAI cross over other airplanes wings. Is this normal? Is there an update or something im missing, Kevin

Have been using FSX Gold (acceleration) with Win 8. Originally had an activation error code (1-80004005) and did the registry edit trick. All was working well until today. Just upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1, now I get an activation error 4-80070005. What is this???? Help! Please!

I've been using EZDok for ages and have never experienced an issue like this with any aircraft, other than the QW 75. I set all of my cockpit views easily, but am unable to set any of the external views. I can cycle through the external views (spot, nose, wing views etc) with no problem, however, when attempting to set the externals, I'm met with what you see in the screenshot. I'm stuck with this when attempting to set the externals. Any ideas as to how to resolve it?

Hey guys, I often livestream my flights on twitch, and i have a question regarding it. I have unchecked the ''pause on task'' option, but whenever i move over to my second monitor, the sound from fsx disappears. Is there a way of maintaining the sound in fsx, even when you are doing something else in your second monitor? I can imagine it must be annoying to people watching the stream when the sound disappears and reappears whenever i do another task. Best regards, Kim.

Hi all- Installed FTX Global last night followed by the patch. Is this scenery too green, or is it my imagination? I did a short flight from SFO to LAX this morning and the Bay Area is way too green and as I approach the LA basin, the San Bernadino mountains are too green as well. As a stand alone product FTX is very well done. As far as representing the terrain where I live, that's another matter. This is why I'm partial to photoscenery. Not so good below 2500', but otherwise, looks like home. Mark

Hi All, I'll keep this as brief as possible. Over the last few weeks whenever I've tried going into full screen (ALT-Enter) the taskbar is sill visible. I've tried dragging the borders to fill the screen but no joy. I thought it was only when playing on an online server but it happens on free flight as well. Sometimes, if I reboot the PC it is ok. I've tried rolling back the Nvidia driver but still the problem persists. I use NI but can't see anything there that could cause this weird issue. One thing I have noticed is that if in windowed mode and I drag another window, say Chrome, over it the FSX image becomes slightly pixelated but returns to normal once…

Hi I am looking at the Aerosoft Twin Otter, I know that the RXP stuff can only be used as a popup which has been stopping me. I am wondering though if they have included the option of taking the GPS out completely? Leaving you with no GPS. Just wondering Thanks

Hi, I have a strange problem with my FSC. It makes the weirdest and longest possible routes! I dont understand route. Even the direct route between two destinations without and waypoints takes a couple of hours more than the route in real life. Any one have any fixes? Like from Heathrow to JFK a flight is between 6-7 hours, FSC generated a route that takes me over argentina and the duration was about 12 - 13 hours! Anyone has any solutions to this?? Hi All, For whatever reason when flying on a multiplayer server (any server) when I go full screen the taskbar is still visible. In free flight I get proper full screen. This has only happened today. Any ideas? Cheers Daz

Tonight I accidentally let my speed climb while coming in for a landing.. Gear was down, but I got the damage for too much speed with it down. My Question is.. Repair's are cheaper at my home base correct? Should I attempt to fly home to repair (to save cash)? Or would I be setting myself up for a worse tragedy and should just pay my punishment at the field I'm currently on?

Hello all. I was looking around for a good classic 737 and basically discovered that other then Wilco PIC (which inst all that great compared too...every other payware in my opinion.) There i'snt anything yet. Then I discovered the Enigma Sim 737. I did some research and I believe the beta, which was just the model, was a free download. I think that there was 2 betas, one for fs9 and the other for fsx. Since Enigma is now with Quality Wings the forum site for Enigma is closed. Which means that the beta seems to have disappeared. If anyone knows of any other download link it would be greatly appreciated. Now second question, If I do find the Enigma model, Is there a way to…
