I have been using Opus for 3 months now and every time I try to do a 3hr+ Flt, Opus produces incorrect SAT temps and Incorrect winds for me, as compared to PFPX Online weather, which uses grib data. I have read the manuals and the HELP files that came with the program . Can some one give me there settings that they use? One one flt my SAT temp was 20c deg or more off from PFPX. I can see one to five but 20c degs thats not good.

Hi Everyone As a new user I am enjoying using the product however I do seem to have a small issue. The pitch of the aircraft is varying quite a bit giving a climb rate of between 1100-2500fpm. Any idea how to stop this, I have only default settings atm. Thanks

Hi all, I've just installed Fs 2010 Global and have noticed that it has used 71gb of hard drive space when its advertised at 25gb, is this right, I installed it with FSS disc's of which there are 6 disc'sis this correct. Cheers Rod.

My hard drive failed. I replaced it with a new 2TB drive, then restored my entire drive from my external backup drive. Now when I start up FSX I get a error message about initialization, and it runs in demo mode only. Any ideas how I can get passed this problem Maybe I have to do a complete reinstall , but this will be a lot of work because of many addons. Thanks, Jim

I just installed the free ORBX global airport packages and now I realize I have to have FTX running for them to show.I do not have FTX Global,I am using GEX and UTX.I do have all the FTX NA packages.So,my question is,is there a reason not to just be running FTX NA all the time even when flying out of the FTX areas?Also, unrelated,I don't see an option to search just this forum.The search option shows searching Google.Am I missing something here?Thanks,Ron

Can I use editvoicepack to rename an atc center name? In Germany the higher altitude center is just blank, "Center on xxx.xx" but I want to rename it to what atc says in reality, Rein Radar. Is this possible with Editvoicepack? Thanks

I am irritated by the unrealistic sounds of the over loud AI aircraft. I have tried Audio Environment but that doesn't satisfy me. Is there a way to completely remove the AI traffic sounds and be left with nothing but the sound of your aircraft?

Having had constant problems with mapping the axes on Saitek's yoke,rudders and throttle quadrant through FSX I purchased FSUIPC (last year). I had stable controls for some time but recently for no apparent reason everything has gone corrupt again. I deleted the FSUIPC.ini file and tried a complete re-configuration but I'm having mixed results at best. For example; I map the aileron axis on the yoke, the raw data appears perfectly okay yet when I go back to my aircraft either nothing happens or some other wild action such as the throttle reacts to the elevator inputs. Is there any flightsimmer who uses this utility from Flight 1 and can advise on its usefulness, and also is it essential for their complex addons such as the iFly 737 and Duke B200? It claims the aircraft, location, weather and time can be changed after loading. How does it cope with REX weather which I assume could be loaded after the initial screen? Grateful for any advice.

I've read that one of the ways people have gotten around the infamous joystick problem with windows 8 is by mapping their joysticks in FSUIPC, and I've looked at it, and don't exactly understand how to do it, is there a good tutorial out there someplace that explains everything? i'm tired of having my joystick cut out every time I do something outside of FSX.

I'm sitting at an Aerosoft airport, as usual they are very pretty to look at, but resource hogs. In the PMDG 777X and at an addon airport, my fps are anywhere from 10-20fps if I'm lucky. So I decided to lower the autogen slider to normal or dense. What is strange is that did nothing for my framerates. Why?

Hello Simmers, Today, when planning my flight form Dusseldorf to Heraklion, I encountered some approaches that I didn't recognize. I found these approach charts, and they're the ones I'm using. So to begin with I entered all of the info into PFPX, and asked it to generate a route for me. It called for an approach on runway 9, which I have only seen once in a video. Regardless, I decided to follow through with runway 9, and looked at the charts. Immediately I realized that the BAVES2L (my planned STAR), along with all others, appeared to be some form of VOR approach (which unfortunately I'm not too familiar with). Hi all, I recently had issues with my FSX installation so I am reinstalling :( Typically, I use REX + Ground Environment + Ultimate Terrain. However, that has been for years and years.... I just purchased active sky next. I wanted to see what are recommendations before I install? Is REX + Ground Environment + UT still the best? Or is there something new and better. I did see REX Texture Set 4 or something like that. Not sure if that replaces all three? Thanks!

Hi , just got into simming a few months ago, and bought my first addon payware, the Citation X 2.0 from eaglesoft. I read the manuals and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I would really appreciate help! I program the FMC etc and takeoff. Fly onto course and set the AP to NAV and VNAV on and everything is fine. Flight proceeds as planned. Once I receive instructions from the destination ATC I put the runway into the FMC and activate it, set the nav frequency to the ILS, and set course. I switch from NAV to HDG mode and follow altitude instructions from ATC. Around this point in every flight is when it goes awry so I have the feeling it is user …

Hi all, I installed the 13.9 drivers last night, I launched fsx & the home screen comes up as normal, I select aircraft, airport, time & date etc, click fly now & the loading screen comes up but not blacked out, I still see my desktop behind the centeal box loading bar. Loading takes twice as long & when it finally gets there I get the aircraft sounds but the screen shows my desk top. Put 13.4 in & all is back to normal. Weird., I've never known this with a driver before.

Hi I decided not to waste any more of my time - after landing with my NGX on Corfu yesterday I really missed more "real" looks elevation-wise of this island. So from all the "layers" I only own FTX Global now which is a texture. I want to get FS Global 2010 + FTX Vector and I understand this will give me proper (more or less) vector and mesh. Next step would be OpenLC for Landclass by FTX when it gets released (mainly for EU now). Will this be complete set or am I missing anything? As I already have FTX Global installed - should I install FS Global 2010 first and than vector? Or it won't matter?
