Howdy, I'm seeing this in a few areas (P3DV2, however no one yet has responded in that forum) and wondered if there is a general explanation, perhaps relating to the Scenery Library. Any ideas on this? Thanks in advance, Noel

Hello I'm experiencing a few issues at the moment and would like to know the following. I have three FSX folders on my PC. One is the main FSX folder (I think it's what you call main) this is located in C\FSX. Then there is c\users\user name\appdata\roaming\Microsoft\FSX. This one is duplicated in c\users\username\\applicationdata\microsft\FSX. Why are there three and what is the difference between appdata and application data? Thanks all Regards Alan

Following some excellent help here from Stephen, Cheryl and others, I have finally gotten my OPUS cameras to work well, regarding placement, etc., in P3Dv2. I have not done anything to configure OPUS cameras for my hat switch (CH Yoke USB). I have noted that the hat switch doesn’t appear to pan the view as I would expect- this is at most times when looking at an aircraft view that has been created and saved in OPUS. However at times I have noted that when I start up P3Dv2 again and go to one of my pre-created OPUS views, the hat switch does work until I change views, then it doesn’t. I need to check if other non-OPUS views in P3Dv2 stock aircraft are also affected …

Hi all, I see ad's about scenery, and I'm a little, a lot, confused about scenery terms, such as, landclass, and mesh. I think mesh concerns the shape of the surface, but the term "landclass", I don't get? Can someone explain to me, just what it is. I was looking at a "Scenery Tech - Africa landclass v1.0", and at looking at the images, it looked like it added trees, rivers, etc. I thought landclass was simular to mesh? Any info will help me greatly, thank you, Larry ps, what is the best brand to buy of these?

Come on guys, I want realistic global scenery. It is the one things that separates FSX from X-Plane and others. I am starting to look at scenery packages, and they cover very little for a lot of money. What are the best options for someone who is using FSX mainly for geography, and doesn't want to spend $10k+ for all these scenery packages?

Hello Today i will formate my pc and before that I need to save the deleted controls from fsx (because I have alot of controls controlled by Fsuipc and in each time I go inside fsx----> controls and delete the controls which handled by fsuipc, its a so difficultto do that in each time I formate), now i have save my all controls with fsuipc, but i need also to save the controls which deleted and reprogramed inside FSX. Could get any help friends !!!!! Thx.

Recently I tried out "Tom's HUD" for the Bell 206 but it didn't work for me. I took the precaution of backing up files as he suggested, and following the HUD failure, I re-installed them. However, in the process, I have lost the Bell 206 from the Free Flight stable and would like to recapture it. Any kind soul out there who could offer me some helpful advice....preferably short of re-installing FSX. Thanks, folks. PS And is there a similar HUD suitable for FSX that actually works?

The default texture of the tropical water in FSX is an ugly, bright cyan. Completely unrealistic, and also present in the wrong bits of the world! I understand REX4 is out, but I'm going to try searching for a nice freeware deep blue or green, which more accurately reflects the ocean. I have never seen water like that IRL, being a native of Singapore. I have visited Bali, Many Thai islands, and a whole lot of "Tropical" islands. They still have relatively blue/green water (especially Singapore). Perhaps this is accurate of the Gold Coast, but even then, it seems oddly bright.

Hi, I get snow (it looks like snow) on certain runways whereas I fly in Summer ! Exemple at LFLP : When I take off from LFLP, I fly over surrounding areas then I land at LFLP, there is no more snow on the runways. I meet this problem only with this type of runways. Concrete runways have no snow. I've uninstalled REX4 then reinstalled it but there is no change. Any idea ? Thank you.

Hi. I want to buy the PMDG Fs2crew from the PMDG site as I'm going to buy theri B737. I would like to know if the Fs2crew would be boxed or Downloaded? Anyone have an idea

I have MKStuidos freeware KSNA scenery, and whenever I try to load up an aircraft there, it immediately crashes, because the whole scenery is slightly above the ground and is not "hardened" to have an aircraft on it. I have installed their "runway elevation fix" in the hopes that it might do something, which it didn't. Does anybody have this problem, and how can it be fixed? Thanks, boeing247

Hi I have copy and paste the route from PFPX and use it normally into the Pro Atc. When the flight start everything is cool and the pro atc work very well, it direct me from the park to cruise, but at the landing it does not. I try all frequencies of my all distinations in each flight, Atis frequency, approuch frequency, tower frequency, even the ground frequency. Could anyone help, guys ????.. Thx.

I am trying to correct the gate numbering and assignments with Scruffy's ADE of MK Studio's KSNA with fair success. Now the gates are correctly numbered and assigned, unfortunately I am unable to correct the gate numbering on the tarmac, they are in reverse order. When I open AFX_KSNA.bgl in ADE I cannot change the gate numbers on the tarmac. So I tried to open gates.bgl and gatesx.bgl with ADE and I get an error that it is not an airport and won't open it. Anyone have any success with this issue?

Hi friends In these days I thought to use another PC in my home cockpit to increase the performance anyway, I know wide client is a program that provide me the PCs sharing & networking.....but Can I use the second pc to open the PMDG737NGX panels, & to open the PRO ATC x, & let FSX to load and open only on the main pc without anyundocking (same addons on both PCs), cuz I have read that the wideclient need networkable addons like iFly737. I need to open all the panels throught the second PC, also I need use the PRO ATC throught 2nd pc, and use the FDC & the softwares need to open to play with my paneld throught the 2nd also, and let the main …

I have installed Jeppesen's Jeppview and Flight Deck, now I need to set up to run Flight Deck and FSX off same computer, displaying the Jepp EFB on a separate monitor. My concern is how to set up FSUIPC GPSout with Jeppesen Flight Deck to provide a moving map display. Has anyone had success running Flight Deck with FSX on a PC or Ipad? Thanks, Dave Bernstein

I was wondering how many FSX users play DCS-World, or another combat simulator like IL-2? The flight models are realistic (as realistic as FSX I think), and you get to blow-up things :-)

I want to delete the Shade program. It's been in my fsx folder for so long I cannot remember if it replaced any files. I know there is a folder called Shade that you delete, is there anything else I need to do to return to pre-Shade status? Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk

I downloaded windows 8.1 and after it was completed, I bought up both fs2004/fsx and both aircraft pages made them look like 3D movies, The runway and scenery also. The runway has two center lines one 1 blue.........red blue and original 3 images.....How can I get the original aircraft/scenery back to [email protected]

Hello there I tried to make fsx working on 2 screen on one videocard (ati radeon) But till so far we tried everything but no fsx on 2 screens But the strange part is that this same videocard was on à old pc with fsx and without problems We change the fsx.cfg file to multiple screens and we tried different programs to make this fsx working on fsx. I looked down through the forum here and do see a post from Stephen describing the process that I found in the docs on my PC for OPUS, for generating a new camera. However, I’m sure there is an additional step that I am getting wrong, so thought I would describe what I am doing and maybe someone could help me if I’m not doing it right…. ?? Hi all This is a bit of a duplicate post as I've asked this question on the Pmdg section ,but I've posted here as it might be an fsx thing I am having trouble getting my elevator trim nose down to go past the green band If I then use a mouse on the trim wheel I can get the full nose down trim deflection,this only seems to happen on my pmdg 737 and 777 aircraft.The elevator nose up works fine but nose down seems to be a problem. I have a registered copy of fsuipc which I've setup ok but this problem seems evident weather I use the keyboard option for elev trim or fsuipc. I've tried them individually and together always with the same result. I'm fairly certain everythi…
