Hi everyone, Hearing a lot about & seeing some solid reviews of the global scenery upgrade provided by FTX Global over the default FSX scenery I'm tempted to get this addon. But my main hesitation is the effect it'll have on the airport addons currently installed by me in FSX. I have a load of them. It'd help knowing what people have experienced and if it's harmless to install with the aerosoft, fsdt, flight beam, etc., airport add ons already installed into FSX. So, I keep getting these weird grayish sea textures while flying at night. I have FSX Deluxe discs. Somehow the FSX SDK is missing from my original installation. When I try to read the Deluxe Disc 1, it spins and spins forever (or so it seems) and does not read the disc so that I may install the SDK. I have the SDK on an old computer. Is it OK to simply copy the SDK files from the old one and paste into the new computer, or does the SDK HAVE to be installed from DISC 1 ? Dave Hinson

Carenado, in their wisdom decided that the VC view would be served well enough by using the same piece of texture real estate. <_< The problem is evident, the help comes in by deciding should I lose the race number completely, thus losing the errant 5. Or should I keep the number, thus making the paint authentic, at least from the outside?

I would like to move the(pilot) view in the vc panel more to the left so that the Artificial Horizon gauge is in front of me rather than to my left. I'd like to make this a default view for a specific aircraft. Can someone direct me to the correct files and locations as well as which variables I need to tweak? thanks tony

EDIT: The topic title should read 'The British HAVE sent back-up' :blush: I can't find out much about G-DAFY other than it's owned by Ortac Air Ltd, Guernsey. It has taken part in the Dorset air race. (Stop laughing at the back!) It does get around as it has been photographed in Spain as well as other foreign places. I believe it's kept in Geurnsey, Channel Islands, but will be corrected if anyone knows better. Real one: Mine: It will be available on AVSIM Library when Jesse gets back from the pub. :smile:

I realize that the MJC Q400 is not officially supported for P3DV2, but after I applied the 1.008 patch and hot fix I started to get a very strange problem (a problem that I didn't have prior to the 1.008 patch). The problem: slow motion - frame rates are good - but it's as if the simulation goes into 1/4 speed slew mode I've done the usual diagnostic process, disable everything in EXE.XML, DLL.XML, scenery, etc. etc. to get back to a base configuration, but the problem remains. The problem seems "random" ... meaning I can be flying for 30, 10, 20 minutes over nothing but ocean, then the enter simulation seems to slow down but I can see my fps remains constant (lo…

This might be only interesing for triple head display users who use a high resolution and therefore a really big widescreen ratio. Would welcome some advice please. I have a 250GB solid state drive on my PC that's at capacity with FSX and various addons only on it. It has FSX and therefore the FSX addon scenery folder is located there also. Additionally I have a much larger conventional drive that's hardly used at all currently. I want to add more scenery to my collection. If I buy more addon scenery, how can I put this on the larger drive when the FSX addon scenery folder is elsewhere? Is there a way of allowing FSX to look for scenery on both drives please? I don't want to uninstall FSX and re-install on the conventional drive! That would be a nightmare!!! I have been following about each and every flight simulator you can name, civil mostly because I only use combat flightsims to taste their flight dynamics, most of the time way ahead of anything we have for MSFS, X-Plane, etc..., but I have also been following Flight Gear, and remember exchanging some messages with someone from the Majestic team back in 2005, 2006 when they were working on the Q-300, and considereing using JSBSim as an external flight dynamics engine. How do I get the auto throttle in the Leonardo Maddog 2010 to work? When autopilot is on it just says CLMP, and doesn't stay on the selected speed. How do I get the auto throttle to follow the speed that I selected?

So today for some reason UT2 was duplicating every plane with the default planes. Like I saw the versions I installed but in addition there was all the default planes with the default liveries. Any idea what can cause this and how I can fix it? I started UT2 and checked the airlines I saw and the only planes listed for the airlines are the ones I have added. So no default planes are anywhere in the repaint database but they were all there when I started the sim today.

I am currently (as i type) in a disagreement on wether SX is a "game" pr not. WHICH IT IS CLEARLEEEEY NOT! All of the programs that we have transfer in to real life flying. They think PMDG and pfpx ARE ALL GLORYFIED games. When they are actually certified programs by boeing and airbus. BACK ME UP! THIS IS A KARMELLO SITUATION.
