Hey guys, My name is Michael and I'm new to these forums, but certainly not new to Flight simulator. I used to play FS9 when i was a teen growing up, however now i got myself a good rig and I've been getting back into to. I've purchased FSX and installed it on my pc along with sp1 and sp2. The problem im having is this. Every darn time i play this game, if i accidently press esc or if i go into the map view and then back out my whole visual goes up to crap. It's very rare where this does not happen. I either lose my whole plane, part of the plane, the scenery or the whole screen just goes black or multi-coloured. No, not really. Well it's more like it landed on my hardrive. I'm not overwhelmed. I remember when few months ago I was proud to master default 737. Than I came here and heard buy NGX which I did and having great pleasure flying this beauty. I'm a Boeing freak now actually. Still when I got fs2crew bundle pack from my GF it came with x extended too. So it's time to use it. From what I saw until now is that manual/tutorial is much lower quality and complexity than PMDG but still, when I spawned into that beautiful VC of Airbus I felt some nice thrill. In using REX Essential with OD, 1. do I need to leave it on for the whole duration of my flight? 2. If I want to use OPUS for weather instead of the rex weather, how do weather textures from REX get used in FSX with weather from OPUS ? (sorry about the confusing way I wrote this question) Thanks. Hi, I had the FSX Free flight black screen curse and opted to do an Acceleration repair which took care of that problem. However, on a couple of my prop planes ( Q400 and Uiver DC-2) I lost all engine sounds on the right engines of those two planes. Nothing on start, throttle up and down and shut down. The left side is fine. Again all other payware and freeware planes have sounds in both engine. I reinstalled the AC Running as Admin. but to no avail. So I believe its an FSX issue. Before I do a FSX repair, does anyone have any ideas as to where I might look to fix this. Thanks so much.

Hello all, I'm new to the world of add-on's for FSX. I've just built a new PC primarily to run FSX. I'm in the process of optimizing my OS and FSX following this great guide: http://www.simforums.com/forums/the-...opic46211.html I've installed FSX and have arrived at the section detailing add-on's. I have a few add-ons I received for Christmas from FSPilotShop, but I'm not sure what kind of tax they may put on my system setup. The add-ons are: 1. REX Essential Plus w/ Overdrive 2. A buddy of mine approached me recently with a strange problem. He is not able to print FSX made flightplans. Any other button related to this function works fine within FSX. Actually I dont have any clue where to look at as it seems to me that the sim simply calls an internal Windows function (just the printer menu). I tested printing of Missions, maps etc. without a problem. Select departure and destination airport (-->) Find route (-->) <first remark: the printer button above the map works> NavLog... I've been trying to land my Milviz Baron B-55 at runway 28 on 1s2 Darrington, and I don't seem to be able to do it without running out of runway.. I survive sometimes, but I'm not stopped till way after the runway ends. Just asking, because I love my Orbx Pacific NW, I've been playing an Airhauler game and 1s2 is my base. It's fine for my Lancair Legacy, but I was thinking for my first 'second' plane of purchasing the B-55. But if I'm going to struggle this much landing (it's bad enough with all the clouds and mountains), I'm thinking that would be a bad choice. whenever i fly the 747 it seems to fly with a very high nose up angle does anyone have any possible corrections for this

I show 'in the red' oil pressure on all 4 engines on my 200 747. Engines function fine. Is this just a fluke. or can it be corrected. Cheers. Carm.

I have asus laptop with two graphic cards. one ###### intel and nvidia geforce, which is ok for fsx, but when i install sweetfx or any enb, fsx stop reading the nvidia one and may only run on the ###### intel. Hi Loving the q400 and also loving opus but recently not loving them together too much...seems like the dhm in opus might be connected to some stuttering and strange shaking that occurs with the q400. I've seen a few reports of this so I'm thinking I'm not the only one. I'm guessing that this is because of the interaction between opus and the custom fde that runs outside fsx. It seems to show up most on approach / landing and is there regardless of "bump aircraft" on/off and regardless of "turbulence" on/off settings. HI Need some help to understand how to update airport in FSX if the ICAO has changed. I don't want to go down ADE route too much hard work, but I would get latest AFCAD online instead. I can handle instructions to replace fsx airport if ICAO is the same, readme from AFCAD help suffice for that. But in the case where the airport ICAO has changed from the new AFCAD I want to replace with. How to do this installation , I suppose involves an easy way to delete old airport ICAO etc. I am looking for the easiest no hassle way to do this. I am trying to replace the default FSX Milky Way file with a customized, more realistic milky way galaxy. The image that I am going to use is here, but I want to know how to properly input it into FSX. I know that it has to be a bmp, then converted to dds, as I am experimenting with it currently. I just need some help because it is not appearing correctly in the sim. Sometimes there is a black filled outline of where it is supposed to be, and other times it shows up, but it is very blurry and all blue. Then in this case, it shows up right, but there is a clear cut between the image and the normal fsx night sky. Thanks.

How do i plan the amount of fuel needed for the QW RJ70/85/100? Also, Which one is the "popular" one to be flown. For example, in the 747 series the -400 is more "popular." In the 737 the -800 is more "popular."
