Don't ask me why, I want to assign aileron and rudder on the same axis. So the rudder is used anyway on final and landings only, or below say 180kts, so when flying only aileron will be active, and on landings both aileron+rudder on the same axis. Is that possible via LUA or LINDA? Any help and ideas are appreciated!

Hi All. I can't get FSX to activate. I've tried many suggestions eg Compatibility Mode, MS Software Licencing System Reset tool, phone activation, but no luck. UK Activation number wants the Product Key which contains letters, which can't be entered. Also tried US number. MS said they don't support the product anymore and wouldn't activate it. Would anyone know how to get it activated? Help really appreciated.

Hi all! I recently received a pretty good machine from work. See below for DxDiag info. I have the most recent windows updates and device drivers. After installing FSX Gold (without a hitch), whenever I try to launch FSX.exe, I get an error message saying "FSX Cannot run ... version of DirectX not compatible... Please reinstall v.9.0 by running FSX setup or microsoft.com/directx". Is there an easy fix to this? My sensitive issue is I do not have admin rights on my laptop, but my IT dept is allowing for just FSX But everytime I want to make a change, I need to go to them. So a solution would be amazing!! In the QW RJ85 to pushback I press Shift+P+2 or 1 but the aircraft just pushes back straight and brings up the overhead panel. It uses shift p to push straight and shift 2 to bring the panel up how do I fix this?

Hey All, I've been doing some Q400 flying recently and really enjoying my experience, attention to detail is amazing -- I'm still very much learning how to flying the aircraft, probably the most difficult aircraft I've ever tried to land but I think that's just me needing to practice and learn more. Now the only item I can't seem to figure out is the Cabin Pressure ... I've made adjustments to keep it below 0.5 difference in pressure Out to In but regardless of what I do, at a specific altitude I will always get Cabin Pressure red warning light and I can't seem to figure out how to not make that happen? I just wanted to verify i'm seeing things correctly with fsx and Ut2... If i install SuperTrafficboard and have the UT2 sliders set to 100% (both).. (generic repaints disabled), while fsx traffic sliders at 0%.. I see for instance.. at 455pm in the STB interface a total of 182 for all airports.. and for KSEA A:5 D:42 Then in FSX, view.. top down.. zoom out.. at any one moment there might be 2 AI aircraft in say a 25 mile radius on the birds eye view.. sometimes only 1.. at the KSEA terminal area I see many aircraft on the jetways, however. Is this about average with what everyone else has experienced? If so.. any good ways to increase the amount by …

Hi, I have recently completely converted from fs9 to FSX, my pc specs are good & the PMDG 777/Rex direct & ASN work perfectly and look stunning whilst running at a solid 30fps. My addon airports all look very good except FTX global. Just did a flight from Dubai to Delhi, on departure Dubai looked beautiful as I would expect from flytampa. As I left the city the desert textures looked awful, way worse then fs9! Also no beaches on the coast and water textures looked horrible. Something must be up with my settings although everything else looks great & I spent a huge amount of time following guides. It was so bad I switched the time of day to …

Just getting back into FSX and I can't seem to add scenery to the sim. I have tried to make a new directory in the scenery addon directory and copied the scenery and texture folders into it but they will not auto load. The only way I can get the scenery to load is but putting the files from the scenery I want into the addon scenery and texture directories Thanks for the help Brian

Going to jump straight in and say at FSDT aiprorts such as KLAX, KDFW and also LatinVFR's KMIA. Using GSX for push or boarding drops when in PMDG aircraft (737,747,777) my FPS between 2-6 when taxiing and taking off. Trying to takeoff when FSX is playing like power point is almost impossible. Also one other time when trying to land at FSDT KDFW the FPS dropped and the slideshow so I ended up quitting FSX and never completing the flight. Once I am out of these airports the FPS jumps back to 20-25 when about 1,500 feet after takeoff. I am using ASN and REX 4 textures. Clouds are at 2048x and airports 1024 in REX 4. I am also using DX10. I almost forgot even at FB KSFO when …

hello all, is it possible to export a PFPX route into the the FSX default ATC, meaning that I would get the exact heading + altitute indications as in the given PFPX route? if this is possible how can I do it? many thanks for the ideas! Felipe

Hello guys, I am about to purchase the flight planner PFPX. Reading the instrucctions, It cought my attention that some of the weather patterns used in PFPX are downloaded from a central server. For those using ASN, how will the weather information interact between each other, does for example PFPX calculates winds based on ASN? Thanks

Has anyone written a LUA script for FSUIPC to add elevator trim sounds? I want to add a trim clacking sound to my Dassault Falcon 50 but not sure how to implement this via FSUIPC. Thanks Adam

Hello Q400 drivers, I would like to fly training patterns the same way they would be flown during a type rating on order to train myself. I am wondering about a few things to set up the aircraft for that purpose : - What would be the typical load for such a mission? Can the dash be flown empty with correct CoG without the use of ballast? - What would be the typicla fuel load? - How is the FMS used in that case? Is there any particular setup? - How would a typical pattern be flown regarding speed, altitude, timing, gear,flaps and spoilers configuration? Is there a way to override spoilers extension on touch down in the Dash? Thanks for your help…

Hi All, I"ve been playing Airhauler with Ideal Flight.. I'd like to try and figure out how to get real weather.. AirHauler's real weather option has never worked for me.. Ideal Flight, I clicked the METAR check box, and it just seemed to do Thunderstorms every time.. this is cool at first, but I'd like some variety. I have Rex 2.0.. but if I"m not starting FSX with that (due to the fact that IF10 is where FSX gets started). So in this scenario, if I start Rex somewhere in the mix, but don't 'launch' FSX with REX.. will Rex still provide real-time weather? I hear everyone recommend Active Sky, but really running up the Credit Card with all these add-ons…

So i run a laptop and iPad mini for ASN, VATSIM and charts. I hate FltPlan.com because it makes you sign in everytime you want change your airport too look at new charts. I fly a lot in Canada so I need a service that provides USA/CAN plates and most of them don't (except FltPlan). I have used Navigraph charts in the past via nDac and I found them to be out of date a lot of times (and I mean really out of date). The Cloud service they offer is wicked expensive for things that are free online but the UI looks attractive. I was wondering if any of you guys use this service and if you think it's worth it. Hello, Just a question or a shout out to anyone flying the Duke v2 with integrated reality xp garmin gns's... I was curious how other might have their gns's options setup in the RXP configX program... I'm running twin 530's with RXP's unlimited pack. I currently have the 530.1 set to control COM1/NAV1 and slaved to the VOR1 gauge (HSI), and to interact with the autopilot via the NAN hold button. my 530.2 is set to control COM2/NAV2 and slaved to the VOR2guage, and I selected "no link" to the Autopilot... Would the Duke's autopilot ever hold a radial from the VOR2 gauge? Cheers

Some time ago i got the PMDG 737NGX, very complex and abselutely great. I was wondering.... are there anything between that one and the default 737? Not that i dont like the PMDG, but perhaps less system demanding and pilot demanding :-) Heck! maybe you can even load up the GPS? So this is the criteria/wishes. Able to fly with GPS Nice virtual cockpit/high quality And... thats it i think. So please tell me what you think. Last i asked for something, i was recommended the Twin Otter Extended, and that was superb. So PLEASE dont hold back suggestions :-) Thanks.

Hello all Since my migration from FS9 to FSX I seem to have lost my way with FSX. If you look at the screenshot you will see two identical folders in different locations. Is this ok, for example will it cause any issues within FSX (I have suffered with some frustrating CTDs) if not can I delete one of them? At least this is what Aerosoft has discovered. For years many developers have said (almost authoritatively) that a working weather radar would be impossible within FSX.
