Hi, hope i am in the correct place. i need some help to solve a problem that I have since few days ago (never happen before), the only things I do in this days were to uninstall tileproxy (i did not use it) and add some addon aircraft. The problem is that airport buildings simply disappear, only the jetways remain, and sometimes ai aircraft become trasparent (i can see only gear and engines). I talk about fsx default airport, I checked some european airport such schiphol, hamburg, geneve.. All default ones. The graphic settings are always the same, I never have this isssue before. Anyway I try reduce quality and AI traffic to increase performance, but they still disappe…

I just discovered something new for me. Many of you probably know that when you go into window mode , you can make it almost as large as full view by grabbing the edges. In the past FSX was really temperamental in full view , with an occasional crash and pop ups. Now in window mode, so far, no problems at all. The only thing I can't hide is the task bar which works for me since I have a 27 " screen. Just thought I would share.

Hello. I haven't been playing FSX in a while (been busy with other games and stuff) and in the mean time I got a new Android phone, so I was wondering are there any useful apps for it like METAR, flight planning, tracking, anything really that is cool to use on your phone while flying in FSX. I mostly fly short-haul (60-90 min) cargo flights (using AirHauler) and have a number of 'companies' set up so I can fly in different regions and different eras. So far it's all GA, rarely over 10,000' and 'dead reckoning'. My flight planning involves a token glance at fuel levels and then mostly looking out the windscreen to avoid the bigger 'bumps' in the landscape. I'm slowly working towards more system-detailed models to add more complexity to the actual flying, but I'm thinking I should start taking the flight planning a little more seriously too. Hello, On my system this aircraft is very slow . How to increase performances? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have this add-on FSX program? I purchased it and it will not install. Installer keeps saying that it needs Net Frameworks 2.0 installed. I have newer versions of Net Frameworks installed and tried downloading 2.0. My syatem told me that it was already installed. I tried E-mailing the producer as per the FS store site and get a message "Message Failed Cannot Deliver". Anyone have a clue on how to fix?

Hello guys. So lately, my sim has been kind of weird. I would setup a flight in the NGX, wait for the countdown, and begin flight in my AVCARS program to track my flight for my VA. But when I select begin flight, it would say Im on pushback, and stop working. (crash) Then when I would go back to the sim, my rudder/yoke would not work. Like there not even plugged in, even to know they are. Anyone have any clue on what's going on? Thanks. -Dmitri (I have all drivers installed and up to date)

I have installed FSDiscover and everything installed ok and working fine. My problem is when I close down FSX I get this message after FSX closes. FSX has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program. I click on the message and it closes. I have uninstalled FSDiscover and I do not get that message so I know its FSDiscover. Any help or ideas on this? Ken

I've recently bought and installed both REX and Orbx EU England. But for the airports like Gatwick for instance the textures on the ground clash and make this sort of effect: http://tinypic.com/r/2jcfy8n/8 What shall I do?

This will be shortest, but yet the most honest review of FSX. I admit, I can't imagine my free time without FSX, I'm an flight simulation addict, and I found myself wrapped in festival of addons, power of choice, the whole planet of FTX Global + landclass.................. BUT: FSX is like an old car. You love it, you are passionate about it, but it can give you headaches over and over again. It will broke every now and then, you must mantain it, and you MUST avoid potholes on the road like a plague! In our case, potholes are bunch of addons, and system related games (overclocking, alternative drivers, etc). FSX is fragile like a thin glass! You overclock system …

After 'dabbling' in all areas, I've realised I will have to make some decisions, decide where I will realistically be flying, and then go for it. My local region comes first, naturally, with all of the UK in Generation X VFR with UK2000's Xtreme Airports plus the host of freeware scenery add ons available. I guess this a common factor, you live in Germany, you pick up German scenery, same for Australia, Utah, etc. Ah, but where else?? I'm unable to find the cause of certain apron areas around airports turning brown color at night. These are fine in day - gray and snow-covered like the other areas. In night settings they turn brown. I do use DX10, and have Steve's DX10 fixer application, but I still get the brown with that application. I also get it when I turn off DX10 using Steve's program. This problem is not specific to a single airport. It happens at night in all seasons. I've checked for missing textures but the program reported none missing. Hello, I've got a problem.I've tried Bojote's Tweak,Word Not Allowed's & Avsim's guide but they didn't help me. Normally I have around about 35-70 fps on default sceneries with these addons: FTX GLOBAL REX PMDG NGX,777X and Aerosoft Airbus X But in Europe sceneries or over airspaces I have very very bad frame rates; like that. My specs are: Intel i7 3770K @4.4GHZ nVidia GTX 660Ti 2GB 192bit 16 GB 1600MHz RAM Gigabyte Z77-DS3H Motherboard 1TB HDD 120GB SSD Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 64-bit Also i've installed latest drivers. With the PMDG 777 at taxi2gate KMCO. My VAS is always at 3.8-4.0 then I will usually get an OOM. At no other addon airports I get this only at KMCO.

I had my system running smoothly, even in FTX areas, and then POOF, I started getting OOM errors and now it is stuttering. So I turned down the TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD and LOD_RADIUS. My frame rates in non FTX areas are erratic now too? I no longer have the OOM errors but the stuttering is still with me? The only thing I can remember changing was loading a shared REX4 Direct theme. I have since returned to my original theme, but see no difference. I checked to be sure my nvidia settings haven't changed, that my CPU was still running at he correct speed, DirectX10 Fixer was set the same and my fsx.cfg looked correct. Any ideas where to look. Fire up Opus (the latest update today...released..) and then get FSX going. Update Live Dynamic Weather. Take off, anywhere you choose. At 5000 or so feet, note around you the atmospheric depictions, cloud density, type, lushness or fragged, etc. Then, put FSX in pause. Shut down OPUS, then fire up ASN. Take FSX off of pause...and carry on with your flight. For my scenario, with doing all of the above as sequenced, ASN hand's down at the time, took the rendering crown. The clouds (with the same REX installs) looked anemic as depicted by OPUS when ASN took over the sky and flight path. All I can say, is that without dissing either platform, for the…

suddenly while plotting a route, it only appears in the planned routed in tha map, just only waypoint...i know this can be solved typing the direct to button, but whic direct to point in the route has to be typed to make appear all waypoints.... luis

After a pc upgrade recently I wanted to fire up FSX. (new motherboard, more memory, and reinstall windows 7 from 32 bit to 64 bit) It was installed on D drive and so FSX remained untouched during the upgrade. When I hit the FSX.exe, I get this message- FS cannot run because the version of MS DirectX® installed on your pc is incompatible. Please reinstall DirectX 9.0 by running FS setup, or download the current version, etc, etc I have other games/ simulations, and I guess these won't run on an older version. Like Aerofly simulator. So what shall I do? BTW I reinstalled FS9 and got no such message. Misgav.

That is wrong in my case, I get 60fps in C172, 50fps in PA320, and 28-30fps in Q400. Control panel settings are: Graphics Quality on Medium, Refresh Rate on Slowest (maybe 2-3 fps difference between fast and slowest), Timing Source on Queue Timer, FDE to FSX Sync on Disable (fsx runs on unlimited frames). I find the perfomance of this fantastic airplane very similiar to PMDG MD-11, and slightly better than NGX on my system. Did I missed something? Maybe Affinity Mask=14 in fsx.cfg is the problem?

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I was trying to set myself up a cold and dark CRJ700 sitting next to a jetway at KSEA. I had everything pretty much set up, but when I reloaded the flight the jetway was no longer attached.I'm also looking for a more comprehensive shutdown/startup checklist for the CRJ700 and Learjet 45. The kneeboard reference just suggests to use CTRL-E to autostart but I'm looking for the more hardcore experience now :-)Kind regardsDaveSorry - another odd one. Hi, For the most part, my FSX performance is OK. My main problem is that when looking out the windows with a side view, I get a very rapid steady stutter of buildings and scenery. Once I go back to front view the view is pretty smooth. I have the FPS set at 17 but it occasionally drops to no less than 10 or 12 in complex areas. Also weather doesn't affect the problem since it happens with blue sky and with clouds. I have Bojote's tweaked FS Config and the FSX profile in NVIDIA Inspector selected. Any ideas?
