hello everybody, i've searched an read a lot about this, but i still didn't get my own idea. i kindly ask if someone could help me with my library order. I have installed: MyTraffic X SceneryTech world landclasses Orbx Ftx Global Orbx Ftx Vector FS Global Utlimate meshes Some airports and scenery addons Please, could someone tell me if everything is in the right place? Hi I appreciate there is a demo avaialble but dont really want to install another program to then uninstall it and leave some clutter behind so can anyone feedback how good this is? Does it add more immersion to your flight, especially when cruising on autopilot? Its inexpensive so might go for it anyway, just interested in users reviews? Does it add anything more than fs passengers? Regards Steve

Not sure where I could post this because it happens with all weather engines. I use a freeware weather engine - FSRealWX Pro, but I also used the REX Weather system in the past, (I can't afford anything else :lol: ). It goes away if I take control of the weather (User controlled.) After a couple flights I realized this persistent white cloud following me regardless of my position, its an issue because its often over exposed making my whole image too bright. Any ideas? I included a snap along with the description. Along with another shot without it for comparison sake.

I just ordered my first 10" Android tablet and wondered if anyone is using such a tablet to display the main analog panel gauges, similar to Project Magenta or ProPit? I envision the tablet functioning as a second monitor (hopefully via USB to get good performance) and dragging a window with the main gauges over.. That would just leave the scenery display on the main monitor, along with possible popups of the radio stack / GPS..

Morning all, I've recently moved over to DX10 which I can say is out of this world! My simulator now runs a lot smoother with the settings now all to the right apart from traffic which is on 50%.. I've never had it run and look so good in my years of flight simming. First question which I've read upon is Fraps seems to disable SweetFX which I was given a good explanation of the causes but I'd like to know if anyone has a fix or if anyone uses another piece of software. Having spent a while flying the Just Flight DC-6B recently (and to a lesser extent their Constellation - not as good IMO), I really miss the ability to throw the props into reverse on landing. I know that most big piston propliners were able to put their props into reverse pitch but it is a pity that this has not been reproduced in these aircraft in FSX. Unlike these piston airliners however, reverse thrust is reproduced by the developers of all of the available turboprop aircraft for FSX as far as I can see and I cannot imagine that it would be any more difficult to incorporate this feature into a piston simulation. Anyone remember how to make the Previous Flight, become the "Default Flight". Had it set up in FS9 where I fly to an airport, land, taxi, etc. then exit the sim. Next time I went back in the sim my plane was right where I left it from the previous flight. I've revved up the brain cells, but for the life of me I can't recall how to set it up. Still set up that way in FS9, now if I can get some help setting it up in FSX, I can move along. Also, FS 9 opens right to the flight, bypassing the opening screen. I changed the values in the fsx.cfg to get the same effect and it was no go. Any instruction would be appreciated. THX Ed

Hey Guys, Im new to the forum and I just reinstalled FSX after many years of no use. I run a pretty lame Single core Pentium 4 2ghz computer but through a bit of FSX.cfg tweaking I have managed to keep my frames witthin 20-30 at settings I consider acceptable. The only addons I have are a few ORBX stuff and I use an external FPS limiter. After having a website tweak my cfg (And it did a great job) I cannot see any traffic, be it AI or players in multiplayer past 0.2 NM away. The aircraft dissapear and I am left stearing at floating lights. Does anyone now how to fix this? Or what is causing it? As it is quite anoying. Thanks in advance guys. David Flint

Hi, I have logged a support ticket, but just thought I'd ask if any of your nvidia surround users out there have a solution to this. Just picked this up in the 24 hour sale for £5 but i cannot use it as I cannot get a VC or the 2d cockpit to display. I only get the view with out the front with no instruments and a spinning cursor ! ;-( Any help appreciated Cheers Steve Apologies for the duplicate post , sorry

On a flight recently with the 767, after about an hour and about 32000' both engines stopped, and would not restart. All other systems were normal. It seems to be a fuel problem IMO, Tank selection was okay etc. Is there a switch for fuel heat on your A/C. ? That seems to be my last resort . Thanks.

This may should a little weird but I like to have a window view with a realistic feel. But when I set a camera view for a window the sound is like your outside instead of it being like the cockpit it it just makes it just that much less real. So I was wondering how I would make the sound of the window view more like the sound in the cockpit view, Thanks.

I am experiencing a major issue which I just cannot seem to solve. I have been using various weather engines such as opus and active sky next and they are excellent and I use them in connection with REX 4 textures. Now the clouds are excellent and true in respect of real weather but when I climb above 10,000 feet or so the clouds just vanish out of sight and is so frustrating.when flying at say 35,000 feet I do not see any clouds below. I have taken the matter up with both opus and ASN but solution to the problem has made any difference. I therefore feel that this is a system issue but I do not know where to look for the problem. I am therefore wonder…

Hey guys, I would really like to know how to talk to ATC and other multiplayer users in FSX. How can i tune into the ATIS or even find out the ATIS broadcast channel? This would be very helpful Thanks

Hi! I am merging the Captain Sim 767-300 basepack to the SkySpirit 767-200 V5 and everything was going fine until I encountered a problem. In the virtual cocpit, some gauges and buttons work but most don't. The FMC, MCP and all the screens are black. Most of the knobs don't move although I can hear the 'click' sound. Is there any way to fix this? I would really appreciate if someone could help me out. Thanks!

Hello all, I've been trying to fly for some time now, and FSX just keeps crashing when I try to click "Fly Now!". Now, if I just click fly now without selecting an aircraft and an airport, the sim loads fine. However, when I try to change my aircraft from the menu, to the PMDG 777, it loads, but the screen is frozen. As in, I can hear the sounds of the aircraft, but the screen won't change. I've tried Windows Event Viewer, but it doesn't give me the faulting module. Please Help!

Hey Guys, My FSX was corrupt and i have not played it for a while. I wanted to play it again so i Uninstalled it and then when i went to Re-install it i got this message. "A later version of "Microsoft Flight Simulator X' is already installed on this machine." Does anyone know what the problem is? Do you know how i can solve it? I have FSX Gold with Accel Added FSUIPC to get better control of axis. Now I want to improve looks. Seems REX4 is in the running, but I think it is only for certain textures... So, if I spend most of my time in a 172 about 3000ft or coming down to different USA airports, What would help me? Hi, I've been flying in FSX for some time, but I've always wanted to know how to fly IFR better in FSX. I'm not interested in buying any payware addons like PMDG for example or other things. I want to have some realism but not try to have things that challenging. Also, do you recommend for me to use the FSX ATC to fly IFR, or just to navigate my own. And, if you could please, try to give me a tutorial of some sort whether typing it here or a source for my question above. In the end though, my goal is to have fun flying and try to have some realism flying IFR with the default 737. Hi, it's been nearly an hour trying to figure out on how to open all the doors. I've been looking through the manual for the plane but doesn't really explain much, I tried googling for some information but no luck :( FYI I've tried using Shift+E, Shift+E3 and 4 but it only opens the main exit. So could anyone please tell me how to work these doors ? Tom

Why do I always get this in the ATC window when flying, does anybody know? I talk to the tower, take off, contact the departure frequency, but after a while the ATC window doesn't display the frequency of the new center that I'm now in like it use to, instead it just says "no messages to transmit to anyone" and below it I can select airports from a list. It use to keep allowing me to auto-tune the next center but not anymore. What happened?

Hello all I spend hours browsing and looking for good addons, and usually find them. However, one thing I couldn't find, and that are good cabin crew announcments. I used fs passenger for some time (borrowed it from a friend who wasn't using it) and its announcements were great. However, all the stuff around it (especially the buying planes thing) wasn't what I wanted, because it restricted it too much for me. I found fs flight deck companion, but it emphasis was more on the cockpit than the crew. Als fs cabin crew I tried, but that simply wasn't enough, like no extra voices (Dutch) etc. can anyone help me with this? Or recommended changes to the current progra…

So I've recently moved fsx to my new driver due to running out of space on the other one. But the problem is that I'm unable to find the fsx.cfg in my new driver, however I did try to look for the cfg in the C drive but there was nothing. I know this is a very rare problem, but if anyone has any knowledge about this please reply to me asap! Greatly appreciate it Tom
