don't even expect a solution, it's too weird, but thought I'd share it with you. Flying from CYVR to KSEA, about 40 knots outside of KSEA, all of a sudden my speed goes full even though AP is set to 250 but my speed gauges, both the ones in the cockpit and the shift S where it shows on top of the screen, show 0 knots. It happens in different aircraft with different panels but only at that spot, no where else in the world. So I reload (I have autosave) and it's fine. Go figure...billg

Hi, I have a stupid problem and I don't know what happened... I just installed new water textures and other scenery stuff and wanted to start a new flight and then it says: loading weather... (77%) and then the sim crashes... It works when I clear all weather, but after flying a bit and clouds appear it crashes again..Has anybody any idea what might have happened or how I can undo this without installing everything new??!? Already tried to remove everything I added that day but no change..Thank you

Hi,I don't seem to be able to start a flight from paris CDG. The 'loading' screen gets to 100% and then Boom! CTD. No error message, nothing!I ahev tried de-installing all Addon scenry and other stuff, but there seems to be a problem somewhere else.Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?BTW, I have not experienced this happening elsewhere (YET!)Thanks in advanceM

When making ILS approaches, the approach on autopilot seems to pickup the glidescope, and it makes the corrections to line up on the runway, but the descent takes me into the harbor :(.I tried to look into this, so forgive me if this has been beaten to death.I have been flying VFR since the FS2004 release day. I have only been using ATC with IFR rules for a couple of months.So far my favorite is KSNA John Wayne to KPHX Sky Harbor 26R. ILS, ATC work awesome to make it seem real.

I am getting ready to purchase a new home computer for FS9. I recall reading on these forums about how if you have a .bgl file the addon scenery directory and the bgl does no have textures (or if there is a 'texture' subdirectory that is empty, this will cause a memory leak?All of my AF2 .bgl files are in the scenery sub dir WITH a texture sub dir that is empty - is this a concern??

Hi folks,Having trouble with this wonderful panel. See pic. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/63299.jpgPFD is dead except for altitude and VS. MCDU is completely dark and produces crashes if I click on certain buttons. ND looks great but the mode settings and radii cannot changed. Speed and VS cannot be changed in AP. E/WD displays dead engines and 'malfinctin' and 'gauge missing' messages. I have installed the latest version plus the FS2004 upgrade. Any clues? I was really hoping to fly the wonderful new IFDG model. Misha

Hi all,Don't know if anyone has experienced this issue in FS9.In some airports and with certain aircraft, when the take-off rollout starts, the fps drops to 1, until the main gear leaves the ground. Then the fps returns to 15-20.If I make a turn to land in the same airport, all the approach is conducted with a good fps rate (15-20). When the main gear touches the ground, the fps drops imediately to 1, and so stays during all landing rollout.Any ideas are welcomeThanks in advance,macc2004

For anyone who has the Aerosoft A319/320 package I was wondering how do you like it? Does it have good flight dynamics? Is it more or less "involved" compared to the PMDG 737? For $19.06 it seems to be a pretty good deal.

I have read previous posts on this issue and have not been able to successfully connect using my DI-624 router. I'm hoping someone having a similar problem can assist. 2004 DOES work in MP without the router.I'm not a wiz at router port configs but I have opened 23456 and 6073 as specified on the MS web site.Other games have no trouble running through the router so I don't think it is a DirectX issue, 9.0b is in use.What I really want to do is to run an instructor station and MSFS2004 on the same LAN.Thanks for any help.

When I purchased FS2004 I decided it was time to upgrade the Video Card so I went and bought aHightech Radeon 9800Pro. Reformatted Hard disk, installed Win XP Pro,FS2002 & Fs2004.FS2002 worked very well. Following on from my search for the non existant (in FS9) Angel Falls, I wonder if anybody has found any interesting waterfalls that do exist in FS9 - excluding Niagra. I know that none of the others are going to be animated and that all you'll get is the river texture running down the side of a cliff but I was wondering if anybody knew of anything worth seeing.

Hello Gang!I am using the fabulous FFX/SGA Airbus A-300 with Benoit's great A-300 panel, but I'm running into one smal (big) problem. The brakes don't work. I actually got them to work one time, after fiddling with all kinds of buttons in the panels, but I don't remember exactly what did it. I have fiddled with the hydraulics system, as well as the electrical system, and nothing happens - the brakes don't work.Has anyone else run into this problem with this panel? If you have or care to share some tips on what may cause or fix this I'd really appreciate it. I'd like to continue using this panel if I can.Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

Hi,is there a tool like afinstaller.exe (for 2002) also for 2004.How can I install an afcad.txt file for an airport.Afinstaller 2002 does always ask for the eurswafd.bgl file, but in Fs2k4 there is no such file.Needed for the venice scenery of isd project.Any help?SincerelyTFT

Hi all;I understand that to file a VFR flight plan with ATC in Flight Simulator 2004, I first must create a flight plan in FS Flight Planner.I also understand that I can create a flight plan with FSNavigator.My question is; Can I export, send to, or otherwise have FS 2004 Flight Planner recognize a flight plan I created in FSNavigator?I'm trying to get out of having to make two separate flight plans so that when I start up a flight, I can request a VFR flight from ATC.Thanks,DonaldS

When I taxi and use the rudder, I have found that the plane will start to turn and then straighten up; this happened going left or right.A bit confused, I decided to watch from the external view. My plane is happy as larry on taxi, then I twist my joystick and hold the rudder to the left. I see the rudder on the plane move, then a second later pop back to the middle, despite the fact I am still holding the joystick to the left.Has anyone experienced this same issue, or know a simple fix?My workaround at the moment is to quickly twist left, then return to middle, then twist again etc....Thanks

Hi all i decided to try this forum seeing as I was getting no response from the POSKY forum. I recently downloaded and installed their great a330 and copied the effects in to the FS9 effects folder but i have no condensation effects or smoke form the tires when I land . can anyone help me sort this problem out??
