I have noticed a problem with Simflyers CYYZ airport scenery the surrounding "green' texture bleeds over the runway and taxiway textures. I have removed the AFCAD files and it make no difference. I have changes setting on my Raedon 9800XT video card and it makes no difference. Can anyone help.Andrew.

Has anyone had the problem where the surrounding scenery bleeds over the runway textures. I have attached a pic to show the problem. It happens with some 3rd party and freeware airports.Any help would be appreciatedAndrew.

Does anybody know how to get FS2004 to download real weather at other times besides the current time.Let's say it's 8 p.m. real time, but I want weather for 3 p.m. It seems flight simulator only downloads the real weather for the current hour.Any suggestions?Thanks,Scott

My one year old Dell 8250 experinced a hard disk crash on Wednesday evening. The Bad news is that I may have lost a lot of files (digital pics I hadn't saved, etc.)and of course, the big FS Folder with my stable of planes, panels, sounds, etc. It was working so well, too. A new HD may be installed today. Supposedly, they say that they can show me a way to retrieve what's on that HD...we'll see. I certainly hope so. andrew/ramsgateWhen I am flying any time that I press ALT to access map etc on the top menu I get a shot of the previous screen . If I press ALT again this clears it. I am sure this is "holding some of my memory back.Perhaps its my low end card thats to blame ?.So every time I'm simming its "double Alt " for me.REALLY I DON,T DRINK THAT MUCH. Hi there folks, Just upgraded today from FS2002 to Century of Flight. My Microsoft Sidewinder (regular) does not work properly in FS9. The throttle works but I can't turn the aircraft using the joystick. I have searched this forum and others and I cant seem to find any info other than on flightsim.com's FS2004 FAQ's. It says:"After the installation of FS9 go into the Windows Device Manager, find the Sidewinder and update the driver: choose Sidewinder"I tried this. There are no other drivers for the sidewinder.Anyone have any thoughts. Can the MS sidewinder be used in FS9? Are there any other (new) drivers for the sidewinder? Please help me enjoy this great sim...

Well I think they wouldn't allow me to post this at the PSS forum so I thought I would take advantage of the "democratic" forum and post here. I know this topic was probably mentioned a million times but why doesn't the fly by wire modelling work very well on the PSS bus? PMDG did an awesome job at the CWS of the 737 so why can't PSS do a decent fly by wire modelling?

I've downloaded the Project Fokker 10070 from Avsim. Nice aircraft to fly. I have a question about the using the flight example for the panel.It shows the way to set up the a/c for a test flight leaving EHAM R/W 01L and coming back around and landing on R/W 06. During the flight its tell you " At D4 SPL change heading" it says this a number of times ie: at D10, D18...... What does the D+number mean?

Well, I hope some of our FS9 experts can help me out here. I wanted to do a flight on the CV-990 last night, and I set up my 990s with an automatic smoke gauge which automatically triggers the exhaust smoke trails when the throttle position exceeds a certain value. However, when I throttled up for take-off I would not get your usual smoke trails, but rather a set of afterburner flames - and I think most of you will agree that the 990 did NOT have 'burners :-lol .Anyway, I exited the sim and checked out the FX file in question. I found out that the smoke FX file referred to a file named "fx_1.bmp", to be found in the "Effects/Texture" subfolder inside the FS9 directory. I …

Hi people! Need some help here please. Just come to start up FS2004 and ive seen that my disk 4 has a dirty big crack in it! My question is what happens now? Do I have buy FS2004 again or can i just get a disk 4 sent to me from microsoft. If i do but it again would i have to uninstall everything and then re install it or would it work fine straight away? I bought the product from Justflight when it first came out. Is there no way to get the sim to load? I seem to remember a while back that there was a way to do it without disk 4.Any help would be appreciated.Richard:-wave

Somehow I have lost all my pilots voices. When i hit the tidle key the ATC appears on the screen but no voices is heard on my speakers, however I hear engine sounds. I have ATC up to high in sound, but when I got to the little ATC box and click on the drop down box for pilots voices, nothing appears.Can someone help me please.Many thanksJohn

Hi,I tried to fly into a local lake, but it seems that, even though it is textured as "water", not all of it is water.There is a "strip" in the middle of the lake that is actually water, but either side of the "strip" are strips of "hard" water, i.e. it looks like water, but acts like ground, so if you try and land a floatplane on it you get sparks etc.So my question is, is there anyway to turn this "hard" water into real water?.CheersDan.

I had to reinstall FS9. (don't ask) Anyway, I put Kirk Olson's Viper back into the sim with the recommended panel, but I don't have gauges in the VC or the vapor effects on the wings. I installed it as directed and I had them working in FS9 before the uninstall, reinstall. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. B Bjorkman CFI

Downloaded Grassi's 747 and MD8X panels, bunch of the new iFDG Airbus 320's (!), Glen Johnson's New Orleans airport, and have my system tuned to the way I want it. Or as close as possible for a habitual tweaker. Seem to be getting some really good uploads lately...:-)billg

How can I get FS2004 to use my system time When creating a new flight?

Why is it that the flight simulator scenery is so poor, and yet many other games, such as "Sim City", have great realistic detail? Our hobby is crippled by this, the aircraft improve daily, but it is add on after add on of scenery that puts a damper on this hobby I love so much.

Hey guys,From all of the reading I've done (I'm not a real pilot), if you're trimmed for level flight in a retractable gear aircraft and lower the landing gear, shouldn't this result in a descent? The books I've read say that a 500fpm rate is common.I ask this because I have a Cessna Cardinal 177RG (Dreamfleet) - FS2004. When I'm trimmed at say 90 knots and lower the landing gear, there's a temporary pitch and speed change, but then the plane settles back into level flight. Should this be the behavior of a retractable gear aircraft?If not, is there a way to edit the aircraft so the appropriate amount of drag occurs?Thanks,
