I've just started using FSMetar and I love what it does but even though I've paid the shareware fee of $17.00 and made all the FSUIPC settings outlined in the user manual I can't get smooth transistions between weather stations. In fact, when I do make the suggested settings the sim gets a bad case of the stutters that sometimes never stops when a new Metar station loads. I've written to the FSMetar people about this but have not recived a response. Has anyone else seen this and know what the cure might be?TonyDigital-Flight

Since MSFS 2004 was released, many words have been written about a patch for FS 2004. But I haven't seen any comment from FS 2004 developers.It's usual that every new version of a product is better than the former version. Just thinking ahead.....looking at Frank's Hangar and the picture on his home page, I was wondering how long it would be before MS had a go at simulating those mirror reflections you get in still water. It would be like an upside down view, a shade darker and a few white 'brushstrokes' accross the reflecting section of the view. I guess the distortion from the wake would be a bit more of a programming challenge, and the shifting view would require some geometric view coding. Just imagine though, what those bush sceneries would look like say at dawn as you took off in your amphibian and saw the sunrise reflected in the water! Sublime!

The great Eric Marciano panel for the A320 and A330 works great in FS2004. However, much to everyone's chagrin it was discovered that it wouldn't load after Jan 1, 2004 due to some programming technicality. Eric quickly did a patch that fixes the problem and the panel is currently loading without problems. However, now the overhead panel doesn't load and the clickable spots are gone. I've e-mailed Eric about this a couple of times, but I have had no response. Do any of you have a solution to this? Or, perhaps, you just simply know that Eric is working on it and we'll see a fix soon.The panel is so great with the PA Airbus A320. I miss it.Lee

I've been using this for the past week and I'll just echo all the other comments that it works GREAT!One question, I'd like to get it to autostart a program, but not the basic .exe file- a shortcut to a saved configuration of that program (my "shoot" configuration, to be specific). I haven't been able to get it to work, always seems to read my command line as a direct route to the Shoot program itself.Any help on this would be appreciated, thanks!Best,Joel

I've installed Version 2 of ATCsimulator, which has the capability to interface with MSFS. Do anyone know how to assign the Reality XP Jet Line 2 to the Captain Sim Yak-3 2004 model? It should fit perfecly into it, since it's King Air 350 stuff, but I don't know how to get all the popups and windows to work

How do you engage the autopilot? Is it one of the ACU buttons? I didn't see this explained anywhere in the radio stack docs. The docs do say that the ACU functions with the autopilot, but not how. And I'm confused about even that. Do the NAV and GPS buttons on the ACU do the same thing as the NAV GPS toggle switch on the panel?The flap settings are 0, 7, 24, and 40. From my reading up on the real aircraft, they are -7, 0, 24, and 40. Is this an error in design, or does FS not allow for negative flap settings?-Basil

I am a new member and I have no doubt that this question as been asked before . I have tried using search but cannot find my subject.The ATC instructions in fs 2004 do not at times seem to be realistic instructions sometimes direct you to flight control areas that cannot be sensible.Are my comments correct?

hi,i am wondering if anyone else has a problem with the timezone when fliying into montreal.i start at halifax with atlantic time,then it shifts to eastern time,as it should,but when i get to montreal it shifts back to atlantic time,just wondering if this happens to anyone else and if there is a fix.thanks for any help.

Hello,A little while ago on here, I saw mention made of a website where real pilots posted their VFR tour routes. I think the original poster sometimes used these as a basis for FS9 flights. However, after various searches, I can't seem to find the message containing the web address. Does anybody know the site I'm talking about?Victor

Hi all,I wasn't sure were to go for help on this matter, but here it is;I deleted all the FS2004 files and add-ons and reformatted the drive, just to be sure it was clean. This included the PSS A330/340 package.Now that it's installed again (except for the PSS software), when the FS9 screen strarts, a message shows up saying;Aircraft initialization failure.PSS A340-300I was wondering if someones knows were the opening initialization file resides so that I can change it to another or default aircraft.I'll try installing the PSS software again, but any help would be appreciated. I bought the German airport scenery (volume 1 and 2) and Im looking for GOOD AFCAD2 files for EDDM and EDDS. I found a few of them at a here in the library, but they either don't have gate assignments or dont use all availble gates. (I removed the static planes from the scenery)Anyone know where I can find good AFCADs for those airports?

Hi all. I have a question about using 2 monitors. I have purchased a radeon 9200se (128meg) pci for my second card. My other one is a Gforce 2 pro (or something like that). They both have 3d capablities etc. When I load fs9 both cards show up in the settings, but how do I drag my gps (ie) over to the second monitor? The game acts like I'm running just one monitor.ThanksHuggs Kittie

in VHF mode.I can use the default DC3 RMI in ADF mode -- but there seems to be something wrong in VHF mode when used in conjunction with either a VOR or ILS locator.For example, sitting on the Brisbane International runway 1 (ILS bearing 16 degrees) , I have to alter the knob thingy at the top of the RMI for the card to indicate 26 degrees to be able to get the RMI needle to point straight ahead. is this some kind of problem with the gauge -- or am I just not using it correctly?Thanks Barry

I have encountered som strange result in created flights,I created a IFR flight from the New York area to Portland in the Realair Cessna with the heavy snows weather theme.When I start the flight I never get cleared for takeoff. Instead theATC window gives me a choice to choose a takeoff runway. But there are none listed to choose.Also sometimes after a while the weather abruptly changes to something different to what I choose.Another flight in Sweden with the same setup resulted in no takeoff clearence but here I could choose a departure runway.Also here the speed indicator suddenly went down to zero.
