Does anyone know if it is possible to update the GPS in FS2K2? More and more waypoint names are no longer valid. I have heard that there are updates available but I have yet to find any.Thanks!!!Safe landings...George

Earlier I noticed the review of this aircraft on the Avsim front page (never knew it existed until today). The review made it look to good to be true for a freeware aircraft. Downloaded and installed the package and updates and upon testing it out my jaw dropped! I know I've seen how to do this explained in a FAQ somewhere, but I've just spent an hour searching for information on this, and give up.I want to remove aircraft -- mostly AI, but also some default -- that I never fly from the aircraft selection menu. Isn't there someway to edit the aircraft.cfg file for this?-Basil

I am desperatly seeking some helpI am currently involved in a small project to model an Add-on Grob 103 Viking Glider for Flight sim. I just downloaded and paid for this program, and it looks like a nice program, but I have one big problem with it. In order to run it, you have to load it as an adventure (I'm using FS2004). When I do this, all the graphics turn out really bad (flat trees, not many buildings, weird looking ground), and there is almost NO scenery (I have scenery maxed just about).. I can't see anything different in the settings.. but when I end the adventure and start a regular flight, all the scenery comes back..Does anyone here use this program in FS2004? Is there something I'm missing? There are no apparent settings as far as I can see.. I just installed it and followed the instructions…

k, I was reading a manual and there's a checkbox to move between your computer time and fs9 time. Seems that no matter what I do fs9 loads with the time that is the "time" setting in "time and world." Is there a way to have it automatically load with whatever time it currently is in the real world in what ever time zone I'm in? If the question sounds confusing it's because I'm confused about the terms and also their implementation. Btw, I have fsnav, licenced fsuip, and active sky 2004 as addons...thx,billg

I have no idea why but when i start a flight from scratch and when i am flying i get frame rates of about 30-40fps but when i put my gear down and land on a hard surface the frame rate will drop to about 1 frame per sec and will stay like that until i get my self back into the air, i changed graphic resolutions to see if that was the problem but no success, any help would be great, it dosn't seem effected when landing on water and when i used an ultimate traffic plane it landed ok but the rest seem just to make the frame rate die.any help would be great Cheers Fush

Hey folks,Lately, there have been some outstanding texture fixes for the default CoF water. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make use of them and I'm not entirely sure why. On my display screen, I move the water effects slider to the far right (to the High setting) but it won't remain that way, which I'm sure, is the whole problem.I have a Compac Presario 2100 laptop with an AMD 2200 processor. My video card is an ATI Radeon IGP 320M.0. I tried installing the latest driver (although the computer is only a year old) but wasn't able to compet the installation because of some error message.Is there a tweak I can do in the CoF cfg file to remove this limitation?Thanks fo…

hi i just bought the ssw a310 and when i try to select it at ther aircraft menu i get a pop up saying it's failed and i have to restart the sim.i'm in fs2004 and the updated module and panel cfg are installed.any help would be great cause i'm getting a bit frustrated after spending 20 bucks on it.thankscallum

Well have just received my copy of SimPlates 2004. What an awesome piece of software that is. Its not just a collection of charts but also includes navaid info, prefered routes and even a large collection of simulator checklists. And now with the lates upgrade we can even add in additional plate paks.I have seen a couple of posts elsewhere stating that charts are available on the web. I would hasten to add, not like this theyre not. Over 18000 charts on the CD's and more to come via plate paks. There MUST be several man years of surfing required to get that little lot even if they were all available.My advice is get it even if you dont fly IFR, the airport information has…

Just wondering if any panel designers can help me out here. I have a 737-200 panel I just downloaded, the problem I'm having is when I tune the autopilot values like altitude it can only be tuned in thousands of feet (1,000 jumps to 2,000 versus 1,000 to 1,100). What if I need to fly at 3,500ft I have no way to do so now. Speed is the same way. Hope someone can enlighten me on how to solve this problem...Thanks...

Would you buy?There are many popular AI Traffic addons available, both payware and freeware, that add realistic airline and cargo traffic.For us GA pilots however, there isn't that much available. There are a bunch of flightplans to add more traffic but they all use the default planes only.I would really like the small airfields to really feel like real airfields with various aircraft arriving and departing, as well as doing touch and go's.I would gladly pay for an addon that:-Adds much more GA traffic to even smaller GA airports all around the world, while possibly removing some from the big international airports-Gives the planes realistic, region-based tail numbers and…

Hi all:I renamed my original install, then proceeded to install again (as is my want!).When I start up the new copy, it proceeds until it gives a "Aircraft initializaion failure: Continental B737-700" then quits.Now, that aircraft is the PMDG 737-700 that I regularly fly in the original installation.So how did my new installation know about it? And how to solve this?P.S.: since you asked, I have a couple of texture glitches in my original install, so I was seeing if a fresh install would give me my fix.

I was wondering how many enteries can the scenery cfg files hold? I think I remember seeing there was a limit for the FS2002 scenery cfg enteries. My FS2004 scenery cfg file is no where near full (only has about 85 enteries so far) but I was just wondering is all.

Be careful how you type the URL! I went to visit the site, typed the URL and mistyped "projectopensky" as "project-opensky". Turns out to be another one of those lovely sites that obtains url's close to popular ones on the hopes of catching ppl's typos... Hi allI use to have FS2000 on my system and along side that I used FSTRAFFIC 2000, which allowed one to record flight tracks and then assign dynamic aircraft to them. I'm wondering with FS2004, is there a program that will do either the same or similar job, enabling me to assign a/c to fly certain holds, user constructed tracks etc?CheersWill

Hello simmers.Upon starting fsautostart I get the following error: Could not create process path ........ (the location of fs9.exe). The error code is 193. The path to fs9 is correct.I Uninstalled fsautostart and removed everything left back (windows folder and registry) install it back. It doesn't work. The same problem. Also, i check for viruses/trojans - everything is fine.I use original fs9.exe (not the no cd version - if the problem could be located there). I tryed to run fs9 through the add program field (at the configure tab - a kind of trik i thought !) does not work also. I am a little bewildered by the number of services running that were identifed using FSAutostart. Are there any really bad things that could happen if I do a "stop and restart" on all of the services? I guess I could do a system restore if things got bad, but I really don't care to do a reinstall of my operating system.Thanks for your help!Airbus
