Hi friends, and thanks a lot for sharing your awesome work with simmers comunity.I downloaded and installed LIME 2004 UPDATE and scenery now looks great. I have an AFCAD problem though: all of my GA planes are assigned to the RAMP, so, obviously, they shouldn't be parked at the gates. But i could find some of them parked at the GATE; so i checked for LIME in AFCAD2 and found that there are two dstinct AFCAD: the first is AF2_LIME.bgl and the second (stock)is in sceneryEURWAP950150.Is there a way to delete LIME reference in AP950150?Maybe this is the problem? Thanks in advance for helpingLuigi ;-)

Guys, and gals. With the default 737, I see three speeds:IAS, which we all know about,GS, on the Garmin which is cool too.....,....but what's the speed on the compass area meant to indicate?Let me be more specific.I'm humming along towards my local, thinking it's hard to believe pilots get paid for this lark, and when approaching the ILS I switch from GPS to NAV.IAS is 250, and the speed on the compass is the same as the speed on the GPS (242).When I flick to NAV, the speed on the compass ( can't think of the tech name right now )changes from 242 to 421kts.What is the 421kts meant to be? What does this speed indicate??Look forward to words of wisdom. And yes, I know why pil…

  6. I Havent posted for a while in the forum so heres a hello to my friends :-)Strange how we often talk of bugs in the sim yet I have had nothing but bugs real world.A fun problem in a Cessna Crusader which happily decides to surge on the left engine as soon as you pass 6000 feet approx. On a night flight back from Scotland UK I was pushed up to 12000 feet and the fuel flow was going full deflection with an accompanying yaw not nice over nowhere in the black:-)Still trying to cure that one so any ideas greatly appreciated.A one year old Seneca five which decided to give complete engine cuts(left engine again:-( at most inopportune moments in IMC and at Night once when I had p…

There's only one word to describe this package, 'WOW'... Can't wait for the BBJ and 747 from these guys. For FS2k2 we had PIC767, now we have PMDG who's products are all on the same level as that old classic (well it still doesn't seem that old to me). I really wonder what an A320 would look like from these guys...Anyway the new B1900 is one of the best and leading packages released for FS2k4 to date. Everyone who loves turbo props and airliners should take a serious look at this awesome new product...

Hey guys,I was considering purchasing the Cessna 210 from Carenado. It seems like a beautiful aircraft. I was wondering what you guys thought of it? Is it Frame rate friendly? I run on a P4 2.4, 1G RAM, Nvidia 5200 FX 128MB, Windows XP.Thanks,Nick

  9. When I hit a x-wind at high altitude in a jet, it can knock IAS 30 off my climb or cruise speed in an instant. It just happened in the Ariane Southwest 737-500 climbing thru FL230 to FL240 and BLAM!, my IAS fell from 280 to 251 as the wind went from 349 to 289 degrees. I repeated this several times and watched from SPOT view as well as cockpit view. I use either FS9 online wx or FSMeteo wx and I think this instant speed hit happens with either one. I've got FSUIPC set to smooth wind change to 5 knots/sec but it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong or is this just another MSFS phenomenon ?Appreciate posts, thanks!JS

Hi,Always the ATC in FS 9 always gives the pressure values in inches of mercury, even in non-US environments, I have selected metric settingsin the display settings, this doesn't help.Is there any way to let the ATC call out a QNH in millibars (hPa's) instead of the standard inches? Regards,Marchal

I just lowered my aperture from 256 to 128 and I was wondering if I made the correct decision.I have a Sapphire 9800 256 PRO and read that you should be between 64-128 for optimal performance.I am also noticing jagged coastlines around lakes and such.I have AF at 8 and AA at 4 is this correct? Thanks

maybe it's time for a "shoot-em-up".Feeling a bit bored last night , I installed a demo of a "shoot em up" type flying game - based in WW1. It was pretty basic really and not that well done at all. But I kind of enjoyed it for a while -- I would have enjoyed it even more if it was a bit better. Then I had a go at the "Lock-on" demo -- much more advanced of course -- but I don't think I would like the modern jets in this one -- and maybe a bit too complicated for me!! The trouble is that after learning all the keyboard assignments for FS2004, I don't really want to relearn them for another Sim.I have to admit to getting a little bored with Fs2004 commercial a/c and even GA-…

I really like this a/c -- but have a great deal of difficulty lining it up to land close to the centreline. I have not experienced this with any other Fsim a/c. The problem that I have is that the a/c seems to "wallow" (when on final approach at around 105 mph) if I realise that I am a little off centre and attempt to correct the final path. A small correction one way seems to result in a cumbersome overswing which then requires a larger correction in the opposite direction, I know that I am not making myself very clear here. I have tried landing with the wingtip tanks empty and that does seem to improve things a little -- I would be surprised if the real a/c exhibited th…

Hey all -After finding a recomendation for the file gatrfic2.zip in another thread in this forum, I downloaded it and tried to make it work. However, it doesn't seem to want to :( TTools won't compile the thing, saying that it has a problem has a problem with AC# so and so. So I check the aircraftGA.txt file(I renamed them by adding GA to the end of the filename, and removing the numbers so I can create a brand new bgl for the GA traffic), and this is what I see for AC#1: AC#1,Enter Cruise Speed Here,"Empty Slot"Argh. So I replace the Aircraft.cfg file with one from the default traffic bgl, and it still won't compile :( My original traffic.bgl only has something like…

Aside from the support or lack of support from FSD, how are the flight dynamics of the Navajo in Fs2004... I would really like to know from someone who has some REAL time on a Navajo who can vouch for it. Like I've said I am redoing my Navajo PPC in a few weeks, and looking for a good training aid, and what better way than to stick with the aircraft you know.Things I am interested in:1) Stall speeds2) Approach speeds3) Takeoff speeds and how the aircraft reacts on rotating with no flap or roughly 10 degrees of flap4) Stability in a 45 degree bank turn5) Are the main instruments "zoomable" as the PMDG 737 and Flight1 421?6) How the aircraft performs with different weight d…

For all those of you who haven't seen this already in the airliners.net forums...http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6kuhd/MD-80.mpg Goes to show that those FDE designers (e.g. POSKY) who created FDEs that cause gear collapses when the maximum allowable descent rate is exceeded know what they are doing. Edit:I forgot to mention, this is footage from a 1980 MDC flight test with the first production MD80. Oonly seven crew on board, one of whom was standing and broke his ankle. Crew didn't know the tail fell off until they left the aircaft. The plane was fixed and flew again! Misha

hi i've been using my saitek x45 for about a week and i've noticed that every half dozen times or so that i start flightsim the stick will turn my aircraft to the left and needs re calibirated to make the plane fly straight again. Thais is a pain cause i've then got to go back and re program all my buttons.i used to have this with old joysticks if i was putting pressure on the stick in a direction when i started up the sim but i'm not doing that in this case.Have any other x45 users experienced this?thanks,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/61103.jpg

I am considering purchasing the new PMDG Beechcraft 1900D. Can anybody who has purchased this please inform me what the installation procedure for this product is. After purchase and downloading, do you need an active on-line internet connection to install this aircraft.I have a dedicated high-end Flight Simulator computer which I keep sterile from any outside intrusions (such as virusses)Can I install the PMDG B1900D to that computer which will be off-line during the process.Thank you.

I have been using Squawk Box for years (current version 2.3) and am now using with FS9. Suddenly, for reasons that I cannot figure out, I am no longer able to visualize other users aircraft when connected. Needless to say, this makes taxiing a risky task and takes much of the fun out of the experience. I am looking for any help in correcting this problem. I am using SB Relay and have the latest version of FSUIPC (registered). It had been working fine. I have re-installed every component but still end up with the same problem - a lonely appearing airport despite other aircraft connected. Any help would be appreciated.

Ever since I flew the great freeware Beechcraft Debonair in FS2002, I've been looking for something similar for FS2004. I had my eye on the Carenado Bonanza and have been waiting for the FS2004 update. Just checked their site and the update was there. I registered with their site, got a confirming email, then went back to purchase the Bonanza and the update. I keep getting, "We're sorry, your transaction can not be processed". I tried again with my firewall disabled, just in case, still didn't work. I emailed them to inquire about it, but the email bounced.Jim
