If so, can some one please tell me where I can find the file called d6skyb42.zip for FS2004? I searched the file library using the exact file name and extension but AVSIM came up empty.I find the ReadMe_First instructions a little confusing too. When it talks about adding "alias" statements to the panel.cfg, is this the panel.cfg for the DHC6-310 that I just downloaded? Once I install the file that I can't find into my G:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9 main folder, what else do I need to do?thanks!David

How do you install landclass in FS2004? Do you make a folder called "landclass" and put it in the Addon scenery folder? Or do you put the bgl files in the addon/scenery folder?

I have installed a new video card (Geforce FX5700) and FS9 suddenly refuses to load with the message "FS9 has caused an error in panels.dll FS9 will now close". Any help much appreciated.Airdog

The subject "This tip really helps FS performance!!! is currently posted on FlightSim, AVSIM, and simflight forums. It recommends turning off hardware acceleration on your second monitor even if you aren't using one! I tried it and, subjectively, I think it helped frame rates/smoothness but I'm not sure how much. I'm going to highly reccomend the new Vans RV-7 by FlightFactory-Simulations. I have always enjoying flying the little guys, it's been my love since I was a wee one. This thing has brought me so much joy, and I've only owned it 6 hours! The maintenance mode is awesome, it really makes you feel like you own one. good old vilk's been at it again... digging in his aircraft directory... after sharpening the gauges of older crates by setting pixel_size to 1024, he moved on to the cockpit textures...turns out many blurry lo-res textures can be easily resampled and overhauled to work in full 1024 hi-res mode. so if your rig can take it and your licence allows, try it...as an example, the husky. great model. always turning me off with barely legible text labels in the vc... but hey, the vc panel texture is but a 512 version of the 1024 2D panel. resize the vc texture to 1024 and copy the non-transparent parts of the 2D panel to the new 1024 canvas. nudge to align. done.maybe old news, m…

Look at those two pics On each it is the Atlantic at dawn near the Bahamas. You can see that my water textures can take a lot of different color in an unatural way. Do you know why and if it is possible to fix? Because I think it may be artistic but.... not very realistic!Any help?Minos

hi all, i was just taking a flight over italy today testing out the new scenery and then it hit me, man that looks good! so here is a screenshot, bear in mind that i had to butcher it to get the filesize down from the original 800k jpeg :(.Tell me you can look at this and say its not a good sim, a big thumbs up from me to microsoft and of course the freeware designers dedicated to improving the sim!yes i know its not all about graphics, but it helps!

Just added Ch Fighterstick to my Yoke and pedals. Printed the extensive manual but so far have not managed to create a control Map.Cannot seem to co-relate button presses to keys. Any help on 'Lead by the Hand'or 'Step by simple Step' to get my Flight Sims off the ground would by very much appreciated. Danny

Hi,Currently I have a Force Feedback MS Sindwinder 2 joystick. Which is good for some games, but not sure if it is ideal for FS. Sometimes it is very difficult to turn using the JS and not loose/gain altitude.After doing some searching on the board I haven't really found an answer, so hoping someone can help.What controller(s) do you guys use? and what do you think is the best controller for FS?Thanks....:)

Took the plunge and purchased it yesterday... Purchase was easy--no sooner did I complete the purchase, than I had my email and download link... Now I've never flown a 1900, so I wouldn't know how it handles from a pilot's view. But I've flown many times in them, more than any other type of commuter aircraft. Just like you get used to a boat in the waves, you begin to learn the feel of an aircraft. Anyway I love the dynamics of it--it's one of the few aircraft I have flown "as is" without tweaking. Hi I have a problem with TTools where it doesn't want to open the Compiler or Decompiler. I use the "Locate Flight Simulator" and point it to the right folder where FS9 is in but it doesn't do anything just stays the way it is. It used to work right but I must have done something or deleted something by mistake to make it not work right. Maybe something in the registry? Here is a picture to show the problem. I was flying an ILS approach in the realair Cessna in real weather.Because of turbulence I had to execute missed approach. After that I was again directed towards the airport and I got the options to report runway in sight or out of sight. I reported out of sight, and was told where the runway was and to turn towards it but not to descend.This was a IFR flight and the airport should direct me to a localicer intercept I think why not? And it should know that I was inside clouds at that altitude.I run out of fuel and crashed.

I see so many painters doing liveries in American Airlines 'Astrojet' colors. In the scheme of things I think this is a very cool and most innovative livery choice to bring back considering the rest of the airline world has adopted a more modern look. What I would like to know is are the 'Astrojets' real world colors that American Airlines is bringing back or is this just something pointers are doing in the FS Community??? I've looked on Airliners.net and at real airports and have not seen planes such as 737's with this old color scheme. Usually companies like PMDG don't do schemes unless they are real world colors. I am looking for a tool or gauge to view the AI a/c on the screen.I have AI view, and another radar gauge tool(FS2002 AI Radar Window by Eric Marciano and Jorge Salas), and AI Map which makes my game crash or get stuck each time in FS2002. Does anyone know of any other good ones for FS2002 and FS9?
