About a week ago I heard (on their forums) that FSD would add the Reality Xp Jet Line 2 displays in it's Navajo, I thought that was great and decided to go forward with the purchase based on the fact that I could use the JL 2 displays with it.A few days later FSD released the patch which fixed a couple of minor problems and integrated the JL2, I was really happy about this and was very thankful to FSD.When I loaded up the Navajo with the JL2 I was really dissapointed by what I saw. I run my 17" screen at 1024x768 pixels, it's not the best resolution my computer can handle but if I turn up the resolution I get a refresh rate of 60 hz which gives me a headache after 1 minut…

Hi there,yesterday I successfully merged the FFX 727-200 with Richard Probst's 727 panel and Charles Fox' 727 .upgraded (v2) .air file. After making some suggested corrections, everything works just fine (and rivals payware in my opinion!) ... with one exception: the .air file behaves a bit strangely.I use the aicraft.cfg for 174k max gross weight. Now when I takeoff with, say, 40% fuel and climb to an alt of approx. 10.000 feet (just for testing), I notice that the plane seems to climb too fast.But the interesting thing is that at full throttle during level flight I easily and rapidly exceed the maximum speed of a little short of 400kts! Hello guys,From some weeks now, I have a strange behaviour inside FS9.For example: I'm inside the aircraft, and call the FS9 menu. Lets say I dropdown the file menu; If I pass with the arrow key to the right menu, the first that was open remain open!! But the menu I'm on is open too!!!!Another example: if I open the kneedboard, and go to flightplan and try to scroll it down, the vertical scroll bar works, but the text inside the window doesn't!! I saw scroll action just a 5 pixels line on the top and on the bottom... if I change to lets say ATC messages and go back to flight plan, I get the correct view, regarding the position of the scroll bar!!Tonight, I was adding scen…

Is there a setting in the aircraft.cfg file to increase the turn radius when taxiing? I find some aircraft are frustrating when on the ground. No big deal, but would be nice... :-)thx,billg

hi all, i have put in the settings for raising and lowering the seat in the cockpits but when i either look left or right or go to the outside view i have to alter the view every time, can i change the aircraft cfg file to stop this, thanks roger.

Hello, I did downloaded and installed this scenery (and the revisions 1 & 2)made by Al Wheeler.I like it !But I have small problem the parking at KSBP airport is partially white , see attached screen shot . Today I started a flight from PHNL with real weather. When I checked the weather I found that the wind was blowing at 84 to 99kts. I kept downloading the weather and even restarted the sim. Does anyone know a site that shows real weather at airports? I would like to know what the real weather is in PHNL.Thanks Regan

I got some AI flightplans, and they had KPNS in them. I told AFCAD2 to compile, and I got a message saying that KPNS isn't in the Aiports file. I started flightsim & it WAS there! but it is NOT in the Airports030528.txt file. Why is this?

Is anybody using the Parhelia? If so, does it drive three monitors / FS 2004 views pretty well?I am trying to decide between the ATI Radeon 9800 and the Parhelia? Would like to use it for multiple views. The 9800 supports two monitors. I would like to have three, Right view, Center View, and Left view.Anybody out there using the Parhelia in this type of configuration?If so, what is the performance like? I'm playing with MSCONFIG in Win2K, and want to know if anyone has dared disable all services, including MICROSOFT services, and booted successfully? I have followed the tweak guidelines for a pre-game clean boot, and for this we are advised to check the "Hide all Microsoft services" box, then hit the disable all, thereby killing the loading of only all non-MS services.??Noel

Is there anyway to change the color of the lights in the virtual cockpit? Using the configuration manager with the c152 I can only change the lights in the 2D panel. There are a number of red light panels I'd like to change if possible.

Hi,Strange things happens since I change my computer now only dedicated to FS9 ( running networked with two others with PM software and a freeware).AMD Athlon 3200 - 512 MEG - Pixelview GEFORCE 5600 XT 128 RAM with 53.03 drivers- WIN2K pro.1.Each time when I press ALT in order to get the menubar, I get a black screen with the last open windows ( the time I pressed ALT before).2. If I leave the sim quite for a while it crashes. Any Idea????Roger

I am having to fit another Hard Disk because of the amount of FS files. My HD at the moment is fat32 due to the fact that I need dual boot because my CH stick is the old analog fighterstick which can't be programmed with XP, and I have to boot into a small install of Win98 to do it. The question is, being that the new drive is a different physical drive rather than a partition of the primary, can I format it under NTFS, then having the primary as Fat32 and the new one as NTFS. My edition of FS 2K2 doesn't have the Mooney Bravo. I copied the Mooney folder from FS9/aircraft, went back and picked up the gauges and panels, and moved everything over to FS2k2 in the appropriate folders. When I opened 2k2, selected "change aircraft" the bottom of the screen where the aircraft arrears is blank. When I click "fly now" I get a functioning 2D panel at Meigs. I click on S to look around and NO AIRCRAFT. I guess I'm missing textures but don't know where to look for them or how to kick them over to 2K2. Any help is appreciated.

I have an AMD XP2400 based machine, 512 meg DDR ram and a Geforce4 TI4200 vid card with 128 meg RamThe thing that disconcerts me about my current setup of Fs2004 is the way in which scenery textures suddenly "popup" into view. This is not the same as "slow texture fillin" when you change views -- I also get that though.The "scenery popup" seems to happen in 2 ways -- firstly when flying along and getting close to a city (say Chicago) , you can see a few buildings which indicate where the city is -- then all of a sudden when quite close to the city the rest of the buildings pop into view. Can someone tell me how to change the aircraft performance parameters. I want to adapt an aircraft(Skyraider from CFS2/FS2002) to take off from a(modern) aircraft carrier. As things stand at the moment it's a very risky affair.The aircraft can just about reach flying speed after using the entire deck length.9 times out of 10 we sink slowly towards the water after falling off the carriers bows at about 100kts.I've tried all possible combinations of flap settings from clean to full,gear up the second we pass the bows and so on- makes no difference.According to the original aircraft .cfg the flaps up stall is 80kts and fullflap stall is 54kts.If this is so we should be abl…

I would like to say thank you to Tatu Kantomaa for excellent renderings of the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. For any one that loves New York this has been a long wait for correct buildings. All,If this was possible, I'm sure the "performance" would go down but my machine should handle that issue. Is there a way to REMOVE all of the lower mip-map textures so when FS2004 goes to render a blurry texrure (low mip map), it can't?Tim
