Hey, fliers:Seems I recall earlier that an AFCAD file or something was posted to update the Ultimate Traffic program.I thought I downloaded it, but I cant find it on my puter or ina search of the avsim file library.I might be looking in wrong place.Anybody have a clue as to what Im talking about??And a link, please.Thanks in advance.JohnNewburgh, IN

Wouldn't it be great to have elevation differences at airports. In the real world not all airports are flat, just look at some approach plates which the touch down zone and airport elevation are different. Maybe by alot or maybe by a few feet. Some airports have a big hump or dip in the runway. I know this won't happen for some time because Microsoft would have to redesign every airport there is in the sim which would take years with steady work but you have to dream every once in a while. If Microsoft were to make FS in surround sound mode and they made the center channel only voice (pilot/atc) and the end user had a sound card that allowed you to plug in headphones to the center channel were the user would be able to listen to the radio in the headset alone and have the speakers play all the other sound, could that work?

Just bought and installed this card and everything seemsto be working OK, except that if I collapse FS to desktopand then go back, I either get a black screen or the panelwith black background when I to full screen mode and am unable to change views or get correct display until pressingAlt-Enter to window mode and then again to full screen.Any advice appreciated and apologies if this has beenasked before.

Hi,The Fs9 default King Air banks to the right during normal level fight.Does anyone have a fix or an aircraft.cfg suggestion entry for this aircraft or perhaps an FSUIPC setting?I have tweaked the rudder controls with FSUIPC. Reset my calibrations many times but the aircraft "banks" to the right about 3 degrees unless I force the yoke a bit to starboard banking when on AP.,with heading and altitude set. If I click the rudder trim control it overcontrols the bank the other way. Even one "click" of rudder is too much.I know it is not the fuel load.I don't think it is the engine torqueI don't think it is a crosswind condition.This may have started after I installed FSUIPC …

i downloaded the new tropical storms and hurricane weatherscapes last week and scince then if i select a weather scape at the start menu in FS9 i get a freeze up on loading. It doesnt happen with ones like clear skies or fair weather but only seems to be if it's a scape with a reasonable amount of clouds.I'm using the high fps clouds and have render to texture selected and have been using them for months without a problem until i installed these new scapes.Anyone else got this problem?thanks.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/59937.jpg

Hi all.1st post here.have had fs2002 since it came out.i have been running a windows xp machine with amd 1800+, 512mb pc2100ram, 2 8.9ms seagate hardrives optimized, nvidia geoforce2 64mbMy question is this:I love to fly from the spot view, lookin forward from the tail.is it a hardware issue that when you manuever a lot the computer is never keeps the view the way it was before starting manuevering.so people, if you have a faster computer video card etc....will the spot view stay in the proper perspective when maneuvering the aircraft?thanks in advance for any answers to this question.

This was my first Barebones homebuild and with a lot of great advice i was able to determine what to buy, where to buy it, and easily put it together. Your help thru replies and posts allowed me to put together a great system. Hi Avsim members,I use 2 monitors. One upper monitor "W" view, the other lower monitor for instrument panel view. In the earlier MSFS02 if I undocked the instrument panel and dragged it to the lower monitor and did a "Save flight", all was well. The next time I opened that same flight everything was where I left it! The "W" view in the upper monitor and the instrument panel right there in the lower monitor. Simple!However FS9 it won't work like that! When I do a "save flight" in FS9 and then re-open that flight later, I lose the instrument panel view in the lower monitor, and have only the upper "W" view. The lower monitor has a blank screen! I have installed a MD-80 Alaska Air aircraft. The ATC calls me as DOGULAS .....I would like for the ATC to call me as ALASKS Air ...I see how to change the "N" number for any aircraft, but can't figure out how to change the name to one I wnat to use. The FS2004 has a drop down selection for name, but only a few names are given (and I can't remember for sure but I don't think Dogulas is even listed!)Thanks,jim b

Hi all,I'm getting back into FS again after a long break and I'm having a small problem. Whenever I have rain or snow showing there is a large cone of no precipitation around my viewpoint in VC and Spot views (see screenshots below). Is this normal or a known problem? No doubt this is not the first time this has been asked but I couldn't find a search item for it.What the heck is with a "damaged Dem4km.bgl"?It occurred in FS2k2 right after I installed and tried to open with the Beech Super G-18" which I think I got here.It will not allow FS2002 to open at all!Any idea where to get the file and if I can just re-install it?Thanks, Amigos/ashttp://leodream.com/peter/images/icons/sham-sin.gif

Not sure in which forum to post this one. But lets start here. At the moment I have a free button the Go Flight Yoke and I would like to use that one for triggering the FSScreen application to take a photo.Normally this is done by the PrintScreen button and FSScreen reacts on every event that stores a picture in the general notepad. With FSUIPC you can assign keys and controls to buttons and other keys. However, the PrintScreen button is not a custom button so not included in the Key list nor the Controllist of FSUIPC.Does somebody else how to overcome this big issue for me?
