Hello,Has anybody tried the new MyWorld 2004 worldwide landclass? Is it any good?Victor

I updated my computer with XP Professional, new motherboard and hard drives etc. When I installed CFSM 3 on a second drive in the machine (not the C:) I get an error message to insert the cd when I try to run the game. I imagine the software cannot locate the game files???? Where in the registry or ini file might I make a change to point to my correct drive to read the files? I had the game running fine in the past. Thanks.

I'm still drooling over the pics posted on Avsim about 2 weeks back by the Eurowings team of their new Katana, I was guessing that might mean release was imminent- anyone know if that's the case? I've checked over at their forum but lots of posts don't seem to get responses, at least in the Katana section.Best,Joel

The darndest thing has happened. I had to uninstall FS 2004, the problem unrelated to FS 2004 (no easy task as it turns out) and while trying to re-install the program was met with the following message:invalid page fault in module fsui.dll.Microsoft Flight Simulator module performed an invalid memory access.I've tried re-installing 3 or 4 times but to no avail. I get the opening splash screen then the above noted messages. Naturally the program shuts down after each try. I've had the system cleaned up by Norton and find no problems with the basic system.The original installation was fine, with no defects.I'm at a loss to figure this out. Hi,I'm having two issues in Flight Lessons, Instrument Checkride. 1. Right near the start, you're supposed to be on a 338 deg. course. Everytime I fly it, then look at the map, I'm way off course, even though I know I'm keeping the needle centered. I'm always well to the right of the straight line (338 deg.) formed by the intersections. What could be causing this? I flew it with the OBS set to 341 and I was then right on course. 2. The VOR1 indicator in the Cessna 172. The tickmarks don't seem to even line up properly! Set it to what looks like 330, and increase (click) by 10 degrees. It looks like it's beyond 340. Folks,This weather add-on for FS2004 has a lot of shortcomings! I personally suggest not buying this program thinking it will solve the winds aloft transitions issue with FS2004 - IT DOES NOT. The wind shifts are just as bad as with FS2004's default online weather, it's just a miserable experience trying to fly with Activesky at jet route altitudes (FL180+). You won't be able to maintain a decent climb profile and you will still get 180 degree, massive wind shifts throughout your flight. Activesky advertises that it has a route-based winds smoothing function but this is very deceptive in my opinion. It translates into a very mild 'fix' for FS2004's winds alo…

How do you make views stick with keyboard in FS2004? In the lastversion, it was Shift and num pad numbers. Doesn'twork for me. I have PAN_IN_COCKPIT_MODE=1 in cfg. It pans OK.Any suggestions appreciated.Peter Sydney Australia

Is there a FS2004 Faro airport scenery (preferably payware)available?Also is Simflyers version of Frankfurt (EDDF) the best Frankfurt scenery available? Is there a better EDDF scenery than Simflyers? Will anyone be making a EDDF scenery in the future that will be better than the Simflyers scenery?

I love to fly the Aerodesigns' A340 aircraft, especially with my A340 panel :-)Unfortunately, this aircraft is almost unusable on my system because each time I look on a side or I switch to the Virtual Cockpit, FS freezes for some (long) seconds, apparently to load the VC textures. It is the same when I switch to the spot view, it takes time to load the aircraft textures and FS is frozen. It is really painful.:-(Is there any configuration trick to avoid this?For info, my config is:- Intel P4 2 GHz- RAM 512 MB- GeForce 4 Ti4800 128 MB- Windows XP, FS2004Thanks for any help !!Eric

Hi all!For some reason, when I use the "Create a Flight" option in FS9, everything loads and then, as soon as the panel appears the screen goes black and I get the dreaded "Serious Error" message and FS9 exits. The only way I can get to fly (occassionally!) is to load my default flight (which doesn't seem to generate this error) and then use the "Select Aircraft", "Go to airport" and "Time and Season" functions. My default aircraft is the PMDG B737, so I can't believe this is a memory/complex panel problem. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?I suspect the answer to my problem is to reinstall FS9, but I am loathe to do so. There may be no alternative. Any he…

I read on a download that a DX8.1 compatible card is needed to display water effects. Okay, well, I was reinstalling my CD drivers for my Radeon 7000 (Catalysts and CFS2 dont react too well with each other) and I looked on the CD, and it has an install file for DX8.1. So, therefore, it should be DX8.1 compatible. So why cannot I see water effects when I follow the suggestions (Effects to Land Only, Water to High)?Any more thoughts?

hi all is there a fault with the Autopilot in Fs2004.if i try to use the IAS hold, the airspeed just keeps climbing until i get an overspeed warning.i do disconnect it before it gets that far,but it can be annoying to have to keep turning it off.sometimes switching it on and off a few times seems to help.. best wishes steve

Before anyone reads any further on this post, I am going to be mentioning 1 very known addon program and the partner to that program. The program is fsuipc (3.135 version) and pfc.dll (1.83). Before anyone jumps to any conclusions, I am NOT blaming what has happened on these programs, I am only going to explain what has happened since the install of these programs on the system.I was having several CTDs when simply exiting the sim. I could fire up the sim, goto the default KDEA with the 172, allow the plane to sit on the runway for 10 seconds, hit the close button, and I would get a gauranteed CTD involving nt.dll atc.dll weather.dll etc.. Not sure if this has ever been posted but I am currently installing FS on my new system. During a clean install I was getting 18-24 FPS sitting in KSEA everything maxed. On my old system I was getting 6-7 FPS under the same settings. I started to move my files over from my old system to my new and just replaced the modules folder holding my FSUIPC file. I then went back into it to see if it worked so I could then start reinstall things like UT, and others needing this file. I got the ole insert cd prompt and said to myself I'll fix that and cut and pasted the no cd crack into the file deleting the old. I then opened up FS and was getting the same 6-7 fps where I was…

I mostly fly the PMDG 737ng, but this happens to any jet that I fly. I don't fly props enough to know if it would happen to them. My engines keep shutting off. I do not know why, they just shut off at no specific time and for no rhyme or reason. Both at the same time. Every flight for the past 3 months an hour or two into the flight they shut off. I flew the default Learjet around last night and they also shut off. Any Ideas?

I posted this on the panel forum the other day and got no response, so I was wondering if anyone here can see what I am doing wrong. I did manage to do it once before on another aircraft, but now when I try, I only end up with a partially gray panel and the yoke is still there in silvery gray.
