I keeping back to the 45.23 as the image quality in those higher( I have tried the 53.03 and 53.06 ) is rather blurry under the same settings.Anyone have the same experience? The performance of the 53+ driverswas better - probably 10 - 15 % - but I can't stomach the bad image quality. Maybe I doing something wrong.- Myles Athlon 2000 ( 1.67gz ), Gainward FX-5900 128MB w/45.23 drivers.W98SE, 512MB PC2100 Ram.

I was busy doing some work while I had my flight simulator running. My wife thought she would have some fun flying with out knowing what she was doing. She thought she wanted flaps and grabbed the flap switch on my Go Flight Module and instead of pushing down on it, she twisted it and it snapped off. Arghhh! I guess I should have taught her hiw to fly awhile ago. I didn't know she would even give it a try. Oh well, live and learn. Next time I will make sure I am there to give her lessons.

HII wonder if anyone can tell me how to edit the strobe lights on Posky's 757 to make the flash more visible .All the other lights show up fine in spot view but not the strobes. I know I have to edit something in the cfg file ,but I don't know which values to look at and change.Thanks in anticipationThe Aviator

Hi everyone, thanks for reading. Does anyone know if there is a software tool out there that does the following:Reads the name of a file executable and then loads pre-assigned graphic card settings. For example, if I launch FS2004, then it knows to load up my settings of 2x antialiasing and 4x ansiotrophic filtering. At this point, I am not sure whether to bite the bullet and get rid of my Nvidia 4200ti and replace it with a ATI 9800XT or not. I have found out at the Dell forums that the Intel Extreme Graphics are T&L capable. Max payne 2,call of duty, Contract Jack, The Hobbit-all run on the Intel® 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller . I have actually tried out the demo versions on a Intel® 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller and all will run on it. Max Payne 2 offically supports the 865G-even though it requires T&L . So-Intel graphics controller do and can run games that need hardware T&L. I have a couple of 19 inch monitors of which would be nice to stretch the main panel across both. But when I do everything gets "squished", even when I resize it to the full size of the monitor. Yet I have seen snapshots of other users doing this where the proportions are correct. Any ideas?

"wow" was all i could say last night... :)just for the hell of it (and a bit as a learning experience) i bought a sectional and a tac for my town yesterday (no, i'm not a pilot). then i flew a couple of vfr circuits in a 150, one to the west and one to the northeast of cytz, some four hours altogether.i didn't need the usual electronic navigation crutches once in those four hours. every stack, mast, stream, road, railway and power line marked on the tac was where it should be in the sim. a good mesh and fairly accurate landclass data made tracking terrain features, towns and villages a pleasure...just try it. :)vilk

Hi. I had FS2002 installed on my computer and wanted to install FS9 so that I could have both available. I checked with MS and they said it could be done, but not to put them in the same directory. OK, fine, I did the install of FS9 on the same HD, but gave it its own folder away from the MSGames folder that FS2K2 is in. FS9 seems to be OK, but when I try to start FS2002, I get messages saying that the terraintextures.cfg and scenery.cfg files are either damaged or missing and then loading of FS2K2 stops. I guess I can drag those two files from the FS2K2 disk and replace them, but the real question is will these two sims coexist on the same computer?Any tips on this wou…

In trying to methodically isolate the cause for the message, "Your computer has run out of memory..." etc., several posts suggest looking at the scenery.dat folder as a process of elimination to determine what file(s) might be the culprit.I would like to know if a scenery file that is added to the Addon Scenry folder automatically uses more system RAM, even if you are not flying in that particular scenery locale? Example: I have a scenery file for LAS loaded in the Addon Scenery folder and activated for use, but I am flying over New England. ThanksChris

No, im not some stupid noob who didnt read the FAQ and am asking how to get them to appear.I want to know if there is any way possible to get a Radeon 7000 64mb with latest Catalyst drivers to show the reflections. Guys, I've read 100 times that people have their FS locked at XXfps, but what benefit does this give?If your machine will run at a higher fps, why lock it at a lower figure, and if the machine is low-end and will struggle to reach 15, why lock it at 20fps if it will never get there?I know there's an obvious answer to this and I'm missing something, but wouldn't the machine best be left to achieve whatever fps it can at any given time?The reason I ask is that I'm getting a uber-PC in a month, and I'm interested to know what it means if I lock in the fps. I just found the site and registered.For starters I just want to add a piper supercub to the available planes on my MSFS'02.I assume this requires downloading the appropriate (super cub) file (.gif?) from the library and adding it to the correct directory on my computer.Can somone provide confirmation of these basic steps, file types and directory names???Thanks

Hi Folks,I have an Athlon XP2000 with the GefOrce 4200 64 card.I currently have the original drivers that came with it - May 2002.I did upgrade to the 43.45 drivers, but went from an average of 20- 25 FPS to 10! And often down to 1-3!!!! Some of the views were also corrupted!Question is what drivers have other people got with a similar system?I still use FS02.Thanks for any info.Keith

Hi All,I keep seeing post re: frame rates changing (not all for the best!). My FS2004 has frame rate locked at 20 FPS. I have to assume that to do that some of the details that might show are dropped in order to sustain the frame rate. This is not a big problem but I am curious.Is there a FS.cfg thing to change or a mouse click I havn't discovered to allow "floating" frame rates? I can see the VC textures just fine, but for some reason, no matter what I do, I cannot get the individual gauges to appear. Have the model=vc text in the aircraft.cfg and all of that. I obtained a very good profile for the X45 from an experienced user on Livewire VA. Great Profile! Excellent VA!!!! The problem is the "Magic Mouse" feature of the X45 conflicts with my new Logitech Wireless Duo mouse. Whenever I run them together my mouse tweaks out on the desktop and the flight controls go off into LALA land. No throttle, no rudder, just useless!From my sources on the very helpful Livewire Forum and contacting the great support at Saitek it is a known issue involving the Logitech drivers. I'm wondering if anyone is using the X45 with a MicroSoft wireless mouse? I hear rumors the drivers in the MS wireless mouse are much "tighter" than the Logitech's (wh…
