I gave FS9 to my father for his birthday. He has an HP Pavilion 521n PC with an ASUS A7V-VE MB that has only integrated VIA Trident graphics. He's running Windows XP Home and has a 1.4 G processor with 256K RAM. FS9 will load, but if he tries to fly the computer restarts while loading the scenery. I had him reinstall FS9 in complete mode (he had used Express) but now it gets him as far as the initial 2D cockpit view and then restarts his computer. Also, when he selects the aircraft the spinning model spins, but he says the background flashes. When he changed from the Cessna to a Boeing, another restart. I had him update directX 9, but that didn't help. He's also run Windo…

After I installed the viper, which flys great, I noticed the ADI gau at the bottom of the 2D panel does not show up. If you hover the cursor on the edge of where it is you can see the retangular box or whit outline of the gauge. The gauge I am talking about is the number three gauge in the main panel (F162K_aid.gau). I went to my gauges folder and it is installed but just does not show up. Anyone else have this proplbem or how I can fix it? Thanks.KSPII have the full f16 panel installed as recommend.

Lost my HD, reloaded FS9 on new HD and made many tips & tricks to computer & FS9. But my file system has failed me, I lost the procedure and could not find on this site to remove Virtual Cockpit Mode files to help increase frame rate. Help greatly appreciated.Erv KSDF

Hi,Installed FS9 last night, finished the full installation without any hiccup. However, no matter how many times I tried, the program wouldn't launch. I couldn't even see the splash screen. It kept telling me that CD4 cannot be located.I tried both of my CD-ROM drives, no luck. I tried restoring My Documents to default location... still wouldn't work. Finally I had to resort to the no-cd crack. The game plays well but...It's very frustrating to say the least.I'm wondering if any one else has the same problem. Is it a known issue? Now here's something totally different...When I change the surface texture on a runway using AFCAD, I lose the brakes on my aircraft! The brakes work on the taxiways, but not on the runways! Has this happened to anyone else or am I forgetting to take my medication?Thanks...

Hello,Like many others I am finding this great freeware program "shoot" to be absolutely wonderful. Picked up a Plantronics headset for $29 and it works like an absolute charm!Wondering, though, is there a way to get the program to start automatically when i start up FS9? i can't imagine flying without it now, so I'd like to have it start and quit whenever I run FS.I guess related to this (though possible even if the former request can't be done), how do you get a profile to autoload? The instructions explain something about a "command line" to do this, but I'm not sure where to enter that text.Thanks for any help,Joel

When i run the Shoot exe it wants me to find the file PROPLUS.MSI file in Office XP with front page. I can't find this file I,ve done a search but no file .I don't have the CD for Office XP. Any help Thanks Bob McDuff

If I had the Navajo in 'real world' I kept damageing the engines with either high oil temps or 'operator induced' damage.Well, this morning, I re-read the manual, and some of my old Cessna 421, (real life) POH's. Hi. I've been away from the flightsim hobby for awhile, but just bought FS9 and need some advice. First, I installed it on my existing computer (AMD 700MHz,98SE, 384 RAM, Nvidia TNT2 Ultra) and it actually performed fairly decently. I'm now looking to upgrade and was wondering if there are any recommended ready-to-go sytems (Dell, HP, Sony, etc.) (prefer AMD)that will successfully run FS9 with sliders maxed or almost so. If not, could someone recommend an AMD processor, motherboard, and video card that is considered pretty foolproof? Also, if possible, I would like to be able to use my present non-USB CH Flight Yoke and Thrustmaster pedals so I guess I would need some ki…

Hello Gang!Please take a look at the attached photo for reference to my problem.On a flight from KDFW to MMMX, using FS-2004 real weather and the latest FSUIPC, I expereinced a big square of haze that always followed my aircraft. I was wondering if the mips should be removed from my AI aircrafts? Does it make any difference? Should they be saved as DXT3, DXT1 or maybe extended 32bit 888-8 bmp's?ThanksMikkel

I don't know what's up, but complex aircraft in particular end up losing more and more texture the longer I fly them. Or especially if I don't reboot between flights. I just purchased the PMDG 737NG and find if I load a couple of 2D views and then the VC, the sides of the VC are untextured, and I have even done some flights lately in default aircraft, only to find whole sections of land a bright blue (untextured or so it appears) after a long flight. Any ideas on what might improve this? Seems like it's happening more n more. But then again, I keep adding on new products. Is there something in the scenery library area that needs changed?Noel

Some months ago, I purchased a new computer with an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro card. On my old computer, I used my 3d glasses with a nVidia card and drivers. I contacted eDimensional and they said they were working on a new 3d driver which could be use with the ATI card, FS2004 and Directx 9. So far, I have not seen the new driver on their site or in response to my emails. Does anyone know where I can find a 3d driver to use with my ATI card and 3d glasses?
