I have 2 hard drives on my computer, a C drive with has some stuff on it (including FS2004) and a D drive which has almost nothing on it. If I wanted to move FS2004 to the D drive could I just copy the whole folder to the drive then delete the C drive one? Or would I have to re-install it on the d drive from scratch?

The last 2 flight on FS9 using the A320PIC my computer just froze solid. Both times during decent. I could see the panel and could move the mouse but the sim was frozen and task manager indicated FS9 was "not responding". Is this the CTD of something to do with the plane itself (1st crash was in Scotland, Second in Denmark).thanks,Mark.

Hi!I just wonder if Captain Sim's Legendary 727 is a goodaddon?I read a few reviews where people seemed enthusiastic, but had opinions about the framerate hit.Does anyone have problems with framerates with this addon?I would like to know, because if it severely affects frameratesI don't think it is a good idea to buy it, for me.Grateful for help and comments.........Thanks!Hans HermanssonSWEDEN

I have watched and helped with the development of what I think is one of the finest military add-on aircraft for FS for quite some time.Milan lisner desigend this aircraft I believe with FSDS not version 2 etc. She worked beuatifully in 2002. He was striving for a bit too much perfection IMHO in that he has what i would consider a VERY finished aircraft here. It is superb, the model, the panel, the FDE and the textures push the very edge of what this add-on community is capable of. Personally I thought it was ready a while ago. Other testers agred but it is Milan's baby, so he has the hammer and I understand that. Trust me, its a FINISHED design but it does not function f…

Greeting one and all. This week I had to reformat my harddrive. I installed Windows XP, which I had been using for the past year, then went through the long process of downloading and re-installing all my programs. I noticed FS9 wasn't running as fast as it used to, where i would normally get 13 to 18 FPS on my old machine, I was now getting 4 or 5 FPS. I made sure I had the latest and greatest drivers but nothing helped.I also noticed that before, I had been using FAT32 system for my hardrive, Windows XP reformatted it to NTFS. The local computer store guru said if I reinstalled Windows it would give me the option to go back to FAT32, it didn't. I reinstalled Windows…

For anybody who hasn't tried this FS2004 a/c -- I suggest that you give it a try.A very nicely modelled exterior that comes in about 6 different model -- including a ski version. Very nice paintjobs with signs of aging , oil stains, etc. A very good 2D panel with landing panel, VC and a new ( to me) Apollo Avionics suite. This a/c flies and sounds real nice. The Avionics suite is a bit of a handful to get to know -- but I am finding it very handy, I particularly like how the NAVCOM radios can be set up to show you exactly what VOR radial you are on at any particular instant in time.Barry

  10. I am particularly enjoying the Avionics suite in the FS2004 Maule --created by Gerd R. Nehr.Does anybody know of any other work by this person? Thanks Barry

I just experienced the most radical almost 180 degree shift in winds sending my crj into hyperoverspeed. :-eek I use downloaded 'static' weather and winds aloft from the FS weather menu. My plane was bashed around badly. The winds kept shifting from one direction to another. The plane was unflyable.According to FSUIPC the winds within FS cannot be 'tamed' by FSUIPC. Is there any cure for this crazy behavior other than just using custom weather or weather themes. I like having real world winds aloft. Thanks, Adam

Greg Schmidtz has previously released Jetways for various airports under fs2002. They were designed by Shehryar Ansari. They obviously do not work under fs2004. Does anyone know of a way to either upgrade the old airport scenery or replicate this onto new scenery? I'm not a scenery designer so I was hoping there would be a way to do this without being an expert. I'm looing to get KPIT with jetways. Airports just look terrible without jetways.

Adjusting cfg file for control sensitivity?I remember this discussion coming up last fall. I know that you can adjust the numbers in an aircrafts CFG file to dampen the sensitivity. I had adjusted the Baron and King Air to make them more flyable (the seem extra sensitive for some reason). Unless there is a better way to tame these two aircraft I figured I would start here.Anyway I recall that you enlarge the number for each flight control, but I cant remember to what degree. I know I will have to play with it a bit, but can anyone give me a good starting point? The default for all controls is 1.0.example CFG file im talking about.[flight_tuning]cruise_lift_scalar …

Hi All,Does anybody know whether a decent quality Howard hughes's Monster Flying boat has ever been done for FS2002 / 2004 ???As one of the largest aircraft every built, it seems a bit of a shame that it has been passed over for a decent FS model to be created?????Either free or payware it doesn't really matter.... I'm just curious if anyone knows if a Spruce Goose has been done for Flight Sim.TaAl

Hello fellow FS addicts! I am having a problem with shutting down the computer after opening FS2004. It must be FS2004 because it only does this when I have opened it.The shut down sequence goes as per usual until it gets to the "Windows is shutting down" screen. Then it just stops. The hard drive isn't running and nothing I do will make it do anything. I always have to push reset.I would appreciate any help. Thanks,Earlspecs:PIII 800, 256SDRAM, GeForce 256 w/64M, 45.23 drivers, W98SE, SB512PCI sound card, 40G HD

Hi all,I use a setup with two monitors (dual screen through a GF 5200 video card with dual head). When flying in FS 2004 I fill the second screen with Garmin 500, Flightmax, kneeboard, radiostack and more. What puzzles me: the kneeboard and Flightmax don't need to be undocked like the other two, you can just drag them to the second monitor. But when I use the full screen mode to fly in, the second monitor displays a black background and Flightmax and Kneeboard somehow disappear to the back. But the undocked radiostack and Garmin stay visible. So the only choice is to fly in the max window. Not the biggest of problems but it annoys me because FS 2002 didn't behave like tha…

I just realized that every 56 days I toss my New England Jeppesen plates. They are usually in very good condition and would be perfect for someone wanting to practice approaches. Anyway I have my last expired set sitting here complete with low enroute charts. I would be happy to pop them in the mail for someone (beats spending $22 on a set). Set includes ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, & CT. No binder.First post here takes them. Leave a post here and then send me an email with the address. [email protected]. Address only (not worth sending them too far)

Hello All;I know that this has been asked before, but I haven't found a solution in the forum archives here as of yet. I'm running FS2002 on my HP machine using Windows XP. The computer is about 2 years old, so I guess its obsolete by now. Anyway, the problem with this started right after I deleted the original B33 Debonair and installed the updated one with the virtual cockpit. Now, the HSI gauge is missing. I've tried everything I can find on the fourm here, including modifying the CFG file in notepad to the lines as described in a previously posted question about this same thing. Still, nothing. So, I gave up, but kept the airplane in my library. I fired it up again th…

I cannot remember the authors name for the following info, but I thank them! This is the only method that has worked for my CF9 install. ResHack did the trick in helping me change "Brakes" to "B", "Parking Brakes etc" to "PB", and "Differential Brakes" to "DB", Or erase the text all together. I like to know that my equipment (rudder pedals and keyboard) are functioning correctly with the "not as offensive" reduced popup tags. Thanks for the tip!ResHackhttp://www.users.on.net/johnson/resourcehacker/What I did1. Saved the original copy of FS9's language.dll to a safe place2. Opened copy of language.dll with ResHack (File/Open/ then select file3. Open Folder 'String Table' b…
