Dear All,I noticed that I can no longer deploy my Autospoiler. I tried to switch the key assignment but still cannot get it to work. I tried on different planes (default and add-on) and still, I cannot get it to work. Under the new setting, the spoiler usually deployed fully.Anyone can help me solve this?I noticed that this problems once occured in FS2002 (topic #88638).Regards,J. Andre Panggabean

Hi all,When Flying VFR do you have to file a flight plan?, If you dont, whats to stop VFR from becoming a free for all in the Sky, and Everyone going everywhere?Also is there any limitation on what type of plane can fly VFR. Hi Folks,I have just installed a new hard drive and reloaded FS9 and while I copied the files from the backup (therefore no change in the settings) I've found a problem in the frame rates.While sitting stationary I get around 15 FPS but as soon as I move it drops to 1 or 2 FPS. It seems a bit strange but that didnt appear when flying a helicopter. I then worked out that the frame rate problem only existed while the aircraft was touching the ground, once airbourne the rate went back to 15 FPS.I never had this before on the other hard disk so anyone got any suggestions on sorting this one out? I've tried turning off the antivirus software with no change.Thanks ronAthlon 210…

I have read a lot of comments on this forum about the microsoft sidewinder force feedback pro version 1 and windows XP and understood that the original install CD with the box is not compatible with windows XP, that there is no updated driver available for XP and that I must use the minidriver "sidewinder autodetect " which is included in windows XP panel config which I did.I have also seen that the program which is part of winXP in panel config does not allow you to congigure foce feedback effects and to assign your buttons.you must do this directly inside FS2004 in the option/controls menuthe question is : on this stick you have 8 buttons ( excluding throttle and coolie…

Right now I am flying mostly on VATSIM, but most of the times not all controllers are there, many leave before I get to the dest airport etc.I was wondering how flying with Ultimate Traffic and Radar Contact compares to VATSIM?What do you enjoy more and which will be more realistic?Thanks.

I was practicing for the upcoming BOTA races and bent my props on the Beech Baron 58 by getting a tad too low to a river. I've made a successfully safe landing and would like to simulate having fixed the damage (I always carry spare props). Otherwise I'm going to be stranded in the snows of Alaska tonight.Is there a way to repair the damage - preferably with the sim still running? Hello Friends:I have heard comments about the default dc-3 and a few others but ihave never heard anything said about the comet.i have never piloteda real plane before but this plane feels heavy in turns and also he-avy in general.it's not a bad looking plane it is very fast,has niceengine sounds and i really like the high detailed guages.would liketo see these type of gauges for my ga sweetheart the baron.would liketo hear what your thoughts are on this,thanks in advance.HAMMER

Hi, Somehow I have ended up with textures missing off of the buildings and so forth and have them looking like gray blocks and so forth. I do not want to have to remove fs2002 and install all over again. So is there something located on the simulator discs that I can use to fix this? Thanks very much for your help, S.

I been having autopilot issues with the plane either going up or going down when I turn off autopilot. I really think this issue should be looked into. It may have something to do with trim, but is this really realistic for real aircraft especially airliners?This is what I do, I set autopilot for 10000ft at 250kts and either turn on autopilot and the plane seems to go down a bit and re-ajusts to go the altitude I tell it to. I then proceed with my climb and it is normal.I do the reverse as I am getting ready to land I manually take it over at about 10000 sometimes 5000 but the result is the same. I click off airspeed first which I thought contributed to the climb and …

This post is not meant to be a criticism -- just a question from an enquiring mind. I have noticed a number of very good freeware a/c which have incredibly detailed exterior models, pretty good 2d panels -- but fairly poor VCs. Mainly due to their 'coarseness" and lack of clarity.I am just wondering why ?-- is it because VCs are more difficult to model than the exterior? - or maybe the modeller puts all his/her energies into the exterior and is too worn out to put the same effort into the VC?Just wonderingThanks Barry

I wish Avim would just put up a single panel called Repaints on it's main page, so we don't have to scroll thru a myrid of repaints, to see what's available on the main page! Anyone else agree with this? Thank you EddieW

Hi,I am currently flying the FSD Seneca V, I am trying to fly this to as near "real-life" as possible.All of the checklists state the cruise power should be set to the "power setting charts".Where can I find such charts for the seneca, I have tried searching with google but nothing comes up.I have looked into purchasing some seneca handbooks, would they contain such information?, or can I get it for anywhere else?.CheersDan.

Hi all,How do I get rid of the Pacifica, Soar and World Travel guys? I have ultimate traffic installed in FS9 which is amazing but these guys keep showing up and ruining the show! I have searched the forums and they suggest renaming a .bgl file allegedly found in the Microsoft GamesFS9SceneryWorld folder - well it aint there! I did a search and the .bgl file they refer to seems to be located on the FS9 Disk 4 which I need to have in the CD ROM drive to run FS9, all very odd! One other question that stems from this post; is there a way to run FS9 without Disk 4 in the CD ROM drive? Any help is welcome.Andrew

I've got a serious problem with the texturesin FS9 on the aircrafts! They all disappear whileim flying, then they come back again and disappear! somtimes just parts of the textures disappear (like just the wing and rudder)And on the PMDG 737NG the textures of the aircraft is gone the whole time! :( ;(i'll try get some photos so you'llbe able to see what i mean!!my brother has the same problem, but ourcomputers uses totally different hardwarebrand, thou the same size!He was over in the states recently with hiswife (she's an american) where he boughttwo copys of FS9, one for me and one for him!This texture problem is also on the defaultaircrafts, and the texture's disappear…

Three months ago I installed the previously posted kneeboard browser page, since then the kneeboard does not work and every time I click F10 the kneeboard shows and two seconds later FS screen turns black.Then the only option is to close Flight simulator down with End Task.I thought I will be able to live with the issue, however today I re-installed Flight Simulator and the kneeboard still hungs FS, which makes me believe the problem is not related to the modification.If that's the case, what can be the cause for such thing?Changing graphics settings did not seem to help.Specs:MS Flight Simulator 2004Windows XPIntel 2.4 800mhz FSBATI Radeon 9800

Hi all,I'm messing with Paul Mainville's KDTW 5.0 (available in the file library) but the AFCAD file included does not cooperate. Is there a way to export the AFCAD 2 file for use in FS 2002?If not, has anyone started work on an AFCAD for this airport? I've modified AFCADs in the past, but never attempted a full creation.Cheers,Glenn
