Some of you may notice with some panels you can't select anything other than item one at times, meaning you have permanently unsynched throttles, can't open the secondary exits, etc, unless you reload the aircraft. In FS2002 the fix for the throttle synch anyway was through FSUIPC, to assign a hotkey to synch the throttles back again. However, because FSUIPC is payware for FS2004, most of us have been left with the only apparent solution: reload the aircraft. However, there is a simple workaround.Just reassign the 'select item x' functions to something that isn't one of the numbers on the keypad.Right now I have it set up like this, since I use a joystick and have no need fo…

sorry for what seems like an odd subject description. But, when I scroll text inside FSNav's flight plan, or scroll text in the flightsim kneeboard, the lines tend to scroll together into each other near the bottom of the text box. I have an nvidia Ti 4200 card, and wonder as I type this whether it may be a driver problem. I am at work and can't give a screen shot, but if you think you can help with this, thanks in advance....Sherm

O.K. take a look at this picture and look at the Flight Director (FD) in the Attitude Indicator (AI) and the ILS approach on the VOR2 and the Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI).This was an approach last night while it was snowing into Rochester (KROC). I tuned everything right I know that. I was landing on ILS Rwy 4 and APP was on, NAV1, MRK, and DME were all turned on.Obviously in this case I'm a little too high on the glideslope but pretty straight on the localizer. However, the FD tells me that I'm way off the Localizer. I've noticed many times that if I were to actually follow the FD I'd end up on the ground like 50 feet before the runway. In this case the FD is tel…

I can't get enough of this G1000! I wouldn't get a plane off the ground if I had a cockpit like the one shown here: The Garmin G1000 page:http://www.garmin.com/products/g1000/#Talk about awesome!

Has anyone been able to change the paint scheme on the new Navajo? I thought it came with 2-3 other schemes and you could change it in the load out utility. I only have the red& gold stiped version, nothing else. My aircraft directory only hase one texture folder.(See below) Am I doing something wrong? Ive un-installed it a few times and tried again, but still the same.Robert http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/58105.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/58106.jpg

First, Heather & me & the gang thank you for downloading it. 2ndly, thank you for your patience since we immediately discovered that the files are wrong. We are only awaiting an MDL from Japan to post all the correct ones. Meantime, haha, don't hit the brakes.

Hi all,Let me ask you a question:The PSS A330 APU works like a "real" APU? I mean, it supply power to the electrical aircraft system, avoiding the "fast drain battery" bug on FS2004?Or, even with this APU working I will have the battery draining (unless, of course, I start at least one engine)? Thanks for your help :)

yesterday i was playing around with the lago f16 intercepting some AI traffic. i came onto a 777's tail and started to follow the contrail in then about 0.2 miles back my wings broke off and i plummeted to the ground.I have "allow collisions with other aircraft" checked but i was so far back that i dont think that it falls under this category. even though i have experienced crashes with other planes when i definatly didnt come into contact with them i was so much further from the aircraft that i'm certain it was something else.i've never heard of wake turbulence being modeled in FS.....could this be it?callum

Well, to start out I thought one of those cool autostart programs that lets you open several programs at once with the click of the FS9 icon would be nifty. Well, it apprears that even after reinstall the "nifty" feature has become a complete nightmare. I don't know whether the icon itself didn't get uninstalled or what but the other (now notably annoying) programs keep popping up. I've poured over the FS9 config file to no avail... Any suggestions guys?! I'm at a loss!Signed,Anthony Fluhart (the now Alt+Ctl+Del Wiz!)[email protected]

The Piper Meridian image such as spot plane seems to have an something that looks like a pontoon dangling from the right wing cockpit view from behind. Is there something missing? See attached.

I was wondering if anyone who happens to see this would be interested in painting me textures for the Vans MD model. I love this model and the Delta repaint available has errors and doesn't meet my expectations for payware. PM me or shoot me an email if you would be interested in this and have a little spare time.Thanks,Scotthttp://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/Us...c592dc20726.jpg

Hello,This is a follow on to my post about a week or so back regarding adding GA traffic to airports. A couple of people recommended a program available from the AVSIM library called "GA Traffic Maker", and others wanted an update on how it worked out.Sooo... in a nutshell, its a great little program that does exactly what it says it will do- allows you to add tons of GA traffic to your favorite airport(s) with just a few clicks. It also works seamlessly with my Ultimate Traffic installation, but you have to manually edit the aircraft file it creates to make sure the planes are GA rather than Ultimate Traffic downloads. While it is designed for FS2002 it works fine in 2004…

I know that it's possible to merge DF 737-400 panel withFFX aircraft in FS9, but can you use the PSS older panels in FS9as well (such as 747 and 777?) and how about older freeware panels made for fs2k2 and fs2000? do they work in FS9 as well by simplyputting the gauges in the gauges folder etc.?thanks for helping out!keep on flying..

Recorded flight to demonstrate autogen visiblity distance bugHi gang :)As some of you know, there appears to be a serious problem with Autogen in FS2004. I have posted several times about it, both rants and more professional attempts to figure out what's going on. This time, I'll try to be professional :)Often, people have replied that they don't see any problems and even suggesting that it's a system-specific problem or user-error.I have now recorded a flight, which I hope will once and for all prove that this bug exists, and also show just how serious it can be and how easy it is to trigger it.The recorded flight will take you from Portland-Troutdale, give you a brief t…

HiJust been on the Visual Flights forum and found this amazing thread of posts, here is some text from the first post on this subject, "And then,I don't know why, I pressed F9 and switched in FS Nav and docked it down in the bottom Rt. corner.I had quite a shock to see that my frame rate was now ranging from 50 to 70 FPS in all views and fluctuating very little. The jerking had also gone.Switching off FS Nav takes it back to the previous situation. So this works great for me but as I say I can't understand why ... I would appreciate any views".you may want to read some more atwww.visualflight.co.uk/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=993Wycliffe

I've been looking at my key assignments and I've found a lot that I just don't have a clue what they do or what airplanes use them. Here I have them listed on which command menu you can find each.I tried them on a few airplanes, seeing what would happen and well nothing did. I was wondering if anyone can shed some light as to what the following do/are used for and what airplanes use them. Thanks for your time!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AUTOPILOT COMMANDSSelect Altitude BugSelect VSI BugGENERAL AIRCRAFT COMMANDSDecrease Helo Governer BeepIncrease Helo Governer BeepENGINE COMMANDSPrimer Prime/LockReheat/Af…
