  1. Aviator of Course, are there any other editions,
  2. Having started my flight sim experience with Fly II, then MSFS every edition after, along with the long wait from X to 2020. I grabbed the Aviator edition, and think they will fix things, NOT Getting a refund. I will keep 2020 installed, and ride this all the way. I'm grateful that we have this at all, and I spent today deselecting as many things as I can to make it realistic for me. We get a ton of stuff in here, sight see, and practice. No where but up from here. Sonar5
  3. Hi, I got MSFS 2024, I have trackir5 pro and have tried 5.4.2 as well as newer versions. My problem is it won't update games file update so msfs2024 as a choice is missing from games list. Works great in msfs2020. I keep getting access denied to server popup box when I choose game update. Anyone have a clue if there is another way? Tried yesterday as well as today, multiple uninstalls, repair, remove registry keys. Thanks.
  4. I'm thinking of picking up the Carenado. I own the A2A 172, I see they just released trhe 182 again with the most basic of GPS's that you never see in real life flying. I'm not worried about the FPS hit, if any, as I have a decent enough rig. Maybe if Flight1 gest it for the P3D, we'll see...
  5. Hey there, somebody shoot me the private forum info will ya?Thanks,Joe

  9. Ahhh, one of my favorite FS9 planes to fly.FSD-International has a commercial FS9 version available. Now that I am in FSX, there was just released a Freeware version here at avsim. I haven't had time to try it yet, but here you go.Freeware Avantihttp://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxac&DLID=98239Once FSD Updates theirs for FSX, I'll be there grabbing it. They did an awesome job on the one for FS9, and I look forward to the new one. That is one beautiful plane, IMHO.Regards,Joe

  12. Thank you, but been there done, that. I could give a course on this stuff.Upnp off and on in Windows, Admin on the Router, DMOZ enabled, disabled. You name it, I've done it.
  13. Hi all,For the second year in a row, I cannot go on multiplayer.Either the FS Host is not properly configured by opening the required ports, due to a router, firewall, or other unknown reason, or someone who is on there is preventing me due to their settings running either a Router, or Zone ALarm. And if you are on a Router, maybe turn off Windows Firewall.I can connect to Flightsim's MP server and numerous others but not our own.Since last year, I even have a different router. If you are on Multiplayer, and you are running through a Router, Zone Alarm or a Firewall, you are probably the cause of me not being able to connect.if you have a router, you need to go into your Router Admin and forward the following ports.See here:http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/help.html#portsANd here:http://www.portforward.com/And Here:http://www.portforward.com/english/applica...r_2004index.htmPorts to forward"23456 UDP6073 BothQ: Why can I only see the host and no one but the host sees me during a multiplayer game?A: What you're seeing (or not seeing!) is usually a result of router ports and/or firewall ports being blocked off. To rectify the problem you must open the following ports: * INCOMING UDP 2300-2400, 6073 * OUTGOING UDP 2300-2400, 6073 * INCOMING TCP 2300-2400, 47624 * OUTGOING TCP 2300-2400, 47624 If you're running a router you must forward those ports to your specific machine IP address. Each router has specific way of doing this, so please refer to your router's documentation. If you run ZoneAlarm (ZA) firewall with or without the router you also have to configure it to allow the specific ports to pass data. To do this, simply open ZA, click security/internet/customize, fill in the port ranges and check the box to save/enable your new settings. TIP: If after opening the ports you still have problems seeing others or being seen, try switching to the stock Learjet. It reinitializes the multiplayer connection without exiting the game and entering it again. Also, try turning off Zone Alarm, or at least open up the ports. If you have a Router, or Zone Alarm, and you don't know what I'm talking about, you are probably the cause of me not getting in.If you don't have a Router, or ZA, hat is why it is so easy for you to connect. Thanks,Joe

  15. Hi all,Sorry I haven't been around much. I have a huge project for work, and it's taking a ton of time from me right now.I hope to be able to make a few flights, but I have to upgrade my psu, and I'm on FSX, so I also have to find a new plane to master and quick. My Avanti steed has not been updated for FSX yet. (I uninstalled FS9, dumb move but it is what it is, it's the optimist in me.)**Any suggestions, I'm open to them. new PSU should be here by Friday.I will be limited in flying to Pacific time, evenings and the weekends. I will be able to monitor threads while at work though. :-)I'll try to get up to speed in the next few days, and feel free to email me or msg me here if you need anything.**Tom and Avsim have been gracious enough to allow me to be a moderator in the forum again, so whatever you need from me, I'm also here for that as well. For you newbies to the team, welcome aboard, we're all here to help and are glad you chose to become a part of something special you're sure to cherish and remember. We've all made some good friends across multiple sites and teams, and this year is bound to be more of the same.We are the Target folks, they're all gunning for us, so strap on the Avsim Team Spirit, be prepared to work hard, and have tons of fun along the way.Let's keep that AVSIM trophy in Virgina, shall we!Best,JoeSonar5
